Title: Heroes Post by: Dr. on 2 December 2007, 22:34:49 Anyone been watching Heroes as of late? ike the new season? Last episode comes up tomorrow.
Anyone got any theories? (To those that have been watching) Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Johncarllos on 2 December 2007, 22:39:57 Short ass season.
BUT, I've been watching, and the first 5-6 this season SUCKED, then they started getting good. Yay for Noah's revival. Weird dude he is. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Dr. on 2 December 2007, 22:43:29 Yeah, I agree. I was surprised about Noah.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 22:45:20 It started really slow but so did last season. Just starting to pick up now but the writer's strike means this week is the last for a while (not a short season, I don't think the season is over). Try watching one episode from last season a week; you won't be able to do it. You'll be all "Goddamn this is slow." and I'll be in your window like "I told you bitch now open up it's freezing out here" etc.
Anyway like I said at Kian's board, it can't be OMGWTF all the time like the middle of last season, that doesn't make sense. A show like this with that many characters stretched out that far around the world (and space-time) can't keep a pace like LOST! where everyone is on the same island. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Abominator on 2 December 2007, 22:46:50 I can't believe that I still give it the time of day.
Akin to Lost, I feel like I've invested myself in it and now deserve a payoff that will never come to be. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 2 December 2007, 22:59:18 Exactly, Abe. My feelings word for word.
And the season isn't ending. It's split in half just like Lost was last year. As far as Lost goes, there are 3 final seasons announced, each is truly only half-length... 13 episodes. I'm actually happy for that, I just can't wait 'till February. Fun month, though: Brawl and Lost. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 2 December 2007, 23:03:55 Yeah, it's torturous to watch on a week week basis. Mainly because it feels like they cram the good ideas together, and the not so good ones get long and drawn out. I mean, I liked Hiro's time travelling shenaningans, but I didn't need to see it for 5 or 6 weeks.
And the Adam reveal was very shoddily done. It'd be better if they spent 2-3 weeks in Japan, with more development and hints at Kensei being darker, and mentioning Adam earlier on, not waiting until the last Feudal Japan episode to mention him, and subsequently reveal him as being Kensei ten minutes later (WHAT A TWIST!). I would have rather had them wait to reveal the whole Adam/Kensei thing when Hiro discovered his father's killer (LOL ADAM). That was like WAY too obvious, if only because they didn't build up enough suspense. The actions the bad guys take this season are pretty sloppy, and their motivations seem way too vague. Also, was anyone else dissapointed they pulled the whole "CLAIRE'S DEAD IS DEEEEEEEEEAD!!!", only to pull "LOL NO HE'S NOT" like 30 seconds later? Jesus, at least wait an episode. The whole Task Master-Girl storyline also seems the weakest. This season has a lot of VERY good ideas.... But they're not executed very well. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 2 December 2007, 23:11:58 The only thing that can possibly top Noah "surprisingly" not being dead in terms cheeziness is if Charlie on Lost is still alive when the next season returns.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 23:13:38 What Lunche said.
My favorite new thing this season is Elle. And that really includes plotlines too, unfortunately. The only thing that can possibly top Noah "surprisingly" not being dead in terms cheeziness is if Charlie on Lost is still alive when the next season returns. He totally is. I hope. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Abominator on 2 December 2007, 23:14:03 Smelle.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 23:14:20 She's hot...
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Abominator on 2 December 2007, 23:15:52 She's pointless. It all is.
I just don't get how Hiro can't fix absolutely everything with his power. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 23:16:28 She's definitely pointless, but cute.
And yeah, I feel the same about Hiro. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 2 December 2007, 23:17:43 I love Elle. She's cute, sadistic, and psychopathic.
And needs a bigger role. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 23:20:21 She's definitely the Harley Quinn of my imaginary mormon wives from a television drama series.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 2 December 2007, 23:24:44 <3 Cute psychos!
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 2 December 2007, 23:28:36 I like Elle a lot, but I have a feeling her role is just going to slowly fade away.
Lost Hijack: Yeah, they put me in a predicament. I want Charlie to return, but I also don't want the show to pull such a cheap move. I do enjoy a show when characters die and STAY dead, but I don't enjoy a show that removes my favorite character. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 2 December 2007, 23:35:09 After the whole "LOL YOUR DAD USED YOU AND STOLE YOUR INNOCENCE" thing?
Nah, I have a feeling they won't pass up that little piece of drama. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 2 December 2007, 23:44:38 Bleh, I was freaking out back in the first season when Charlie almost died. One of the most emotional moments I've had watching TV, no lie.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 23:47:16 Developing Elle on that whole being used by her dad thing... It won't last. She can't become good, it just wouldn't work unless there's some hardcore character development and there just isn't time for that with so many characters, unless it takes 2 full seasons without a block on writers.
I like Elle a lot, but I have a feeling her role is just going to slowly fade away. Exactly. On both accounts. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 2 December 2007, 23:48:29 Oh, and Sylar is really underplayed. I'm glad he killed that Latina girl's brother.
It was getting BORING "NOOOOO MY POWERS KILL" "LET ME HELP MY DEAR SISTER". If it was more incestuous, it'd have been almost half-way interesting. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 2 December 2007, 23:55:09 I've hated the spanish dorks and Sylar all season. Boring and lame and incredibly pointless. All the story with them this season if collected, is more pointless than an episode of "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila" minus the funny.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Johncarllos on 2 December 2007, 23:57:11 "CLAIRE'S DEAD IS DEEEEEEEEEAD!!!", only to pull "LOL NO HE'S NOT" like 30 seconds later? Jesus, at least wait an episode.DEAD IS DEAD, NOT A DAD. Maya y Alejandro suck. I liked the whole "HA I'M RAPING YOUR GAL MOHINDER!" And he's just sitting there like "FUUUUUDGE what should I do?! Save a hot chick or save my baby to gay parents?! Oh right, I'm gay, to the radar baby!" Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 2 December 2007, 23:59:42 Tila Tequila is such a vapid bitch. Who watches that? I mean... She's so DUMB. And I've seen her fake tits, and they are the fakest tits this side of titsville.
And to be honest, everyone else in the show, trying to win her love, seem to be a few bricks short of proper mental structure, if you know what I mean. But yeah, I'll be glad when Sylar gets back to killing and stealing. Posted on: 2 December 2007, 23:58:20 "CLAIRE'S DEAD IS DEEEEEEEEEAD!!!", only to pull "LOL NO HE'S NOT" like 30 seconds later? Jesus, at least wait an episode.DEAD IS DEAD, NOT A DAD. ... What? Oh rightm I forgot Sylar actually DID something last episode. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 3 December 2007, 00:00:53 Tila Tequila is such a vapid bitch. Who watches that? I mean... She's so DUMB. And I've seen her fake tits, and they are the fakest tits this side of titsville. I know that show is so hilarious. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 3 December 2007, 00:42:55 I've heard of it, but don't know anything about it or her.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 3 December 2007, 03:03:02 Basically she used myspace to set in motion a careeer of having naked pictures of herself online, and making guys who like to see moronic asian girls, who'd normally be flat, with huge fake looking implants, and teeny tiny nipples.
Before that she was anbother Myspace whore with risque photos of herself. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 3 December 2007, 03:39:03 Great, now they other Myspace whores with risque photos of themselves are going to think they have a chance at hitting it big.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 3 December 2007, 03:40:23 I'm not going to read anything in this topic because I haven't watched any of the new season yet, >.>
So the last episode is comming up soon? Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 3 December 2007, 04:01:42 No. The last episode before the break.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Dr. on 3 December 2007, 04:08:16 Uhh, It's tomorrow. And it looks pretty action packed.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 3 December 2007, 04:09:43 It should be, seeing as they're choosing it as the closer before the break. It was last year, too. It ended the whole "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" storyline.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 3 December 2007, 04:46:45 Great, now they other Myspace whores with risque photos of themselves are going to think they have a chance at hitting it big. Worse; They do have a chance at hitting it big. Even the ugly ones (90%). ... Save Elle, save America's erections. Shut the ##### up you know it's true. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 3 December 2007, 04:59:54 In some odd, twisted way, yes.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 3 December 2007, 05:22:16 Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Majikn on 3 December 2007, 05:37:20 My favorite new thing this season is Elle. Never really cared for Elle, but that doesn't surprise me. I'm a huge fan of Noah for some reason. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 3 December 2007, 05:38:54 My favorite new thing this season is Elle. Right, because you're a flaming homosexual. We know, it's okay. Okay for you to be gay. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Majikn on 3 December 2007, 05:44:10 Yeah, coo'. Except you wouldn't be attracted to Elle if she was an old woman with horn-rimmed glasses.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 3 December 2007, 05:47:28 I'd like the character, if she basically had the same personality, but not if she was an old woman with horned rimmed glasses.
But she's a hot young thing, so I am attracted. Again, it's cool if you're attracted to the older man with the horn rimmed glasses, that's just what you prefer. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Majikn on 3 December 2007, 05:53:08 I don't really care for either of them, appearance-wise, but I'm glad you're so accepting.

Queer. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Majikn on 3 December 2007, 08:03:28 im not hommo-sueaxl ok srsly!!!!!!!!!1
... Why does "sexual" anagram to "sue Axl"? Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 3 December 2007, 11:47:10 Don't change the subject, queer.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Dr. on 3 December 2007, 19:26:11 I love you, ASR.

Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Edgecrusher on 3 December 2007, 20:52:31 Would Noah have actually stayed dead, I would have abandoned the show. He's the only character that holds my interest.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 3 December 2007, 22:47:01 ...
... ... Wow. I just realized that he's really the only one holding my interest right now. Parkman and Molly were for a while, but not now. But she's a hot young thing, so I am attracted. That and her personality is cool, but her story is Ashy Larry dry. Why does this #####ing show stop ON my last week of class instead of well before or well after? #####ing republicans. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 4 December 2007, 00:55:39 They want to start it early, but they need to end it just on time with the rest of every major prime-time series towards the end of May Sweeps.
Blame May. There are tons of people with that name. Hit them. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Edgecrusher on 4 December 2007, 01:27:04 Elle was better as Mary Lane in Reefer Madness.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 4 December 2007, 01:58:40 They want to start it early, but they need to end it just on time with the rest of every major prime-time series towards the end of May Sweeps. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Johncarllos on 4 December 2007, 03:10:16 ALSO.
I thought Maya was finally friggin dead, damnit. Sylar is vampire, in that he gets hix fix from blood. Noah is the company's bitch again. Claire is gonna go Emo I bet. Lol @ Kensei/Adam, he is stuck in a casket forever. Very funny. Sucks the bag for him, I think that was VERY cruel of Hiro, I would have put him in deep wet cement or something, I bet he can suffocate, which he might do anyways. Ando did nothing. Lol @ dead Nicky and crappy fire effects, a la "OMG HOUSE ON FIRE, FILL LENS WITH FIRE TO MAKE BETTER." Lol @ the black dude who got the crap kicked out of his balls and got pistol whipped. Yay for Radioactive Peter. Posted on: December 03, 2007, 10:08:29 PM No one dies in this show. Just Claire Bear them all. She's the cure for cancer, just throw her in a blender, drink it, then ##### her back out a few days later and repeat. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 4 December 2007, 03:11:24 That's honestly getting annoying. They couldn't even kill off a minor character like Maya.
So now that their storyline is all done and over, what exactly WAS the point to her existence? Seriously. I just realized, this show is like the exact opposite of Lost although they're the two most similar shows to each other on TV: In Lost, people die without warning and stay dead. In Heroes, people die in predictable set-ups and come back to life right away. In Lost, everyone is on an island together. In Heroes, everyone is spread out across not only the entire globe, but time as well. In Lost, they take forever to answer a single tiny question. In Heroes, they both answer and ask multiple dozens of questions each episode. They're both very successful though, and I'm sure will pave the pay for more "epic mass-cast dramas" to come. By the way, it was a pretty good episode tonight. I guess I was wrong about them splitting the season up: it looks like they're actually doing two seperate seasons throughout the course of one average TV season. ALSO: Did anyone else think the Nathan looked strikingly like Wolverine in this episode in particular? And did that end sequence with Sylar shooting up make him look like a total drug-dum? Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Edgecrusher on 4 December 2007, 04:29:16 I want them to kill the emo flying kid. His acting is horrible, even for THIS show.
I much prefer Dexter or (R.I.P.) Carnivale *crosses self* Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 4 December 2007, 04:53:19 Sylar is vampire, in that he gets hix fix from blood. From Zombie to Vampire. Great. Lol @ Kensei/Adam, he is stuck in a casket forever. Nah. He'll Kill Bill out later. Lol @ dead Nicky and crappy fire effects, a la "OMG HOUSE ON FIRE, FILL LENS WITH FIRE TO MAKE BETTER." Pretty sure she lived. Virus or not. They'll just use it to prove that it's not Jessica that has super strength but both/that bod. Oh and by the way; What the #####? Muscle-mem-mam can't untie herself or get out of a burning building on her own? That was stupid. And Nikki untied her in like 0.5 seconds while in a fire while depowered while flustered while worrying about her kid who is outside with an unconcious crackhead. In Lost, people die without warning and stay dead. Oh please. If you think Charlie's death was unpredictable at all you're a tool. And the entire season finale of Lost I called in the first 10 minutes. I guess I was wrong about them splitting the season up: it looks like they're actually doing two seperate seasons throughout the course of one average TV season. Nah, son. Volume ≠ Season. Basically they did, as they do, like comics. First season/volume was a long story arch, and this was just a short one. I.E. 8 issue arch versus a 4 issue arch. It's probably gonna be two volumes this season, though, yeah. ALSO: Not at all. And did that end sequence with Sylar shooting up make him look like a total drug-dum? Hell yes. Anyway I still don't see why people think Heroes and Lost are similar. The only thing similar about them is that they are dramas with big casts. That's pretty weak. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Majikn on 4 December 2007, 05:26:44 Lol @ Kensei/Adam, he is stuck in a casket forever. Very funny. Sucks the bag for him, I think that was VERY cruel of Hiro, I would have put him in deep wet cement or something, I bet he can suffocate, which he might do anyways. That would make sense. Even animals that can regenerate body parts need food and oxygen. No one dies in this show. Just Claire Bear them all. Peter could probably do it himself, I think. What I don't get is how a shot in the head is supposedly enough to kill Peter and Adam, but Noah took it in the eye, and Claire got punctured in the back of her head. I want them to kill the emo flying kid. His acting is horrible, even for THIS show. I laugh every time they show that scene where he says "The man with the horn-rimmed glasses." Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Edgecrusher on 4 December 2007, 05:39:31 His acting is just as ##### now (if not more so) than it was in Election. Everything about him smacks of an Emo Smallville episode. Particularly any shot where he's flying while carrying Claire.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 4 December 2007, 07:08:22 Well that was fun.... But why the ##### is Peter such a #####ing tool? Seriously.
Also, it'll probably be revealed that Noah shot Nathan. Speaking of which, Noah had a pretty badass moment this episode, when he gives Elle that "You ain't #####" look. I was so happy when they shot Maya... Then sad when they brought her back. They have to STOP doing that. Also, what was with the weird F symbol (You know, the one on Kensei's sword) appearing in the ashes when Peter destroyed the virus? Man, I want to like Adam, he gets a few cool moments... But he comes off as very pathetic. Junkie Sylar scene was awesome, because now... We got our homicidal villain back. I hope Volume 3 introduces more bad guys. INTERESTING ones, I mean. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 4 December 2007, 21:39:05 Mike, I'd argue more about the "Lost is in the same category as Heroes" thing, but it hardly matters. They just grouped together a lot.
I hate the emo flying kid. Great, now I can't remember his name. I loved Adam - I have a thing for British accents. I'm instantly attached to any character with one. Plus, he was actually a good actor and he played a large role. I don't find him pathetic, I'm just mad that they didn't further explore his intentions. I mean, yes, I get that he started thinking of himself as God, but there's so much more that they could've delved into with him... instead, they just made him into a flat villain at the end of the season. I also don't think he's returning for a while, if at all. I have a feeling he WILL return, but they might give him a break. I was really disappointed with the Elle bit. It was very lame and got my hopes up for more than what actually happened. I think Nikki might be gone, but I don't know for sure. They better have a cool explanation if she survived. I haven't got a clue as to who shot Nathan, but I think it's someone that they haven't revealed yet. Angela (Peter's and Nathan's mom) were talking to them as if they were someone we haven't really heard of yet. I didn't catch the double-helix symbol on the ashes when Peter destroyed the vial, which is odd because I was captivated at that point. They shove that thing in there all over the place. The symbol appears hidden in the scenery over and over in the 1st season. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Edgecrusher on 4 December 2007, 22:22:19 ...to the point where it's presence seems forced and obnoxious.
It's not a secret if it's constantly in the room screaming "I'M A SECRET! ME! OVER HERE!" Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 4 December 2007, 22:26:40 I remember I thought it was so cool when I saw it in the second episode with the dividers in the swimming pool (at a house) where Matt was investigating.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 4 December 2007, 23:54:49 Does this mean, that maybe, the virus isn't gone?
And yeah, I'm sad that Elle didn't get much play, I wanted to see more of her. I'm kind of sick of Task Master girl. I thought Angela was talking to Bob on the phone. And is anyone else sick of the "LOLZ THE COMPANY"? I'm also wondering if any of the other founders had powers... Like George Takei. I wanted him to have a power so bad. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 5 December 2007, 00:15:49 I'm stil convinced that Angela had a power, but I'm not sure. They might've even revealed it but if they did I missed it. I assume she does because it's otherwise pretty odd that BOTH of her sons would have powers.
I always figured Bob never had a power, but there's still time to give him one. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Lunchebox on 5 December 2007, 02:04:08 Bob's is the power to be a dick.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 5 December 2007, 02:11:05 No one dies in this show. Just Claire Bear them all. I think Peter could too. And people take shots to the eye and other head-al regions all the time in real life and live. It's really easy to hit the brain through the eye and really easy to miss the brain through the eye. But that's not even the point because he was in fact dead which means it hit the brain. But here's the rub; Sylar's got a brain fetish for a reason. The brain is the key to using the powers. Claire and Adam need their brains in working order for the power to unlock and go. Proof of this is that Claire didn't recover from that whore near sexual assault death until AFTER the nurse autopsy person took the stick or whatever out of her brain, after that she healed up yuckily. Blood taken from Claire/Adam when they're in working order is ripe with working healing factor, so you can inject into someone who's brain is wrecked and it'll heal that up too. I'm pretty much thinking that the powers come from certain glands and crap. Healing factor is obviously something that's secreted. Mike, I'd argue more about the "Lost is in the same category as Heroes" thing, but it hardly matters. They just grouped together a lot. They're just dramas with large casts. Everything else is apples and oranges. I'm stil convinced that Angela had a power, but I'm not sure. They might've even revealed it but if they did I missed it. I assume she does because it's otherwise pretty odd that BOTH of her sons would have powers. Pretty sure she does. Pretty sure they didn't say. Don't care about Bob either way but he's probably one of the "fat friends" of the group; A group of people with powers always has to have their friend who doesn't. I'm looking at you Green Arrow! (I'm not even gonna bother counting Batman, he's earned his keep). Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 5 December 2007, 02:14:39 Bob was just annoying. Even his name was annoying.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 5 December 2007, 02:15:27 Even his name is fat.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 5 December 2007, 02:16:44 And it describes something fat things do in water.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Johncarllos on 5 December 2007, 02:48:49 I missed the SINGLE Helix in the ashes or a vial.
PREDICTION TIME! Kensei gets out. Nikki is alive. West cuts himself. Maya kills more people, then dies. Volume 3, VILLIANS, will introduce more badasses. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: ASR on 5 December 2007, 02:51:00 PREDICTION TIME!
Kensei stays in the coffin, as his storyline is complete. Nikki is dead. It'd be about time for them to finally TRULY kill someone off. West cuts himself. Maya lives forever. That WAS him! It was when he convinced Suresh to help him in the first episode of this season.
There was also some woman Sylar killed right at the start. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Dr. on 5 December 2007, 18:52:38 Bob can change things to gold.
The woman with Sylar at the beginning of the season was another tool for the company. She was able to change her figure. So, I believe that was the woman that kidnapped and kept Micah, cause she had the same exact power as her. Sylar somehow had some power because he was able to cut her skin on her forehead with his finger. Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Majikn on 5 December 2007, 23:50:57 Sharp nails.
Title: Re: Heroes Post by: Mikero on 6 December 2007, 00:48:33 Volume 3, VILLIANS, will introduce more badasses. I'm guessing it's gonna be more about the old villains that the old crew #####ed with. So, I believe that was the woman that kidnapped and kept Micah, cause she had the same exact power as her. I don't remember Sylar using his power to kill her though, but that's not me saying it didn't happen, just don't remember.
