Title: Abe's pile of unfinished business...
Post by: Abominator on 14 January 2008, 20:58:05
As we all know, I am the most talented "person" the heavens have ever produced.

Now, on top of everything else I have given unto you, I will allow you in on a secret:

I am the world's greatest photographer.

Yes, I feel I can keep my gift under wraps no longer, so now bear witness to my camera-phone masterpieces, "Lovely Tree" and "Hedgey the Hog" !

Damn, that's one cool tree.

And that's some spikin' hedgehog.

That tree looks rather sad, Abe.
I demand more photographs, if you are indeed the world's greatest photographer, then you should have more photos.

I like the tree picture's compoosition, it keeps the eyes moving.

Come on WIND, everyone knows Nessie's camerashy.

I was about to request Loch Ness monster too. Bring us some, Abe, and use a better camera, for God's sake!

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: preventerWIND on 14 January 2008, 22:29:05
I bet I know who took those crapily focused shots of Nessie so many years ago! >: (

Anyways, Abe, whats your association with the hedgehog? Your pet?

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: Abominator on 14 January 2008, 22:44:30
I'll take more photos when inspiration hits!

And I don't have a better camera, since I really have no interest in photography whatsoever.

Anyway, the hedgehog was in my garden one day, all rolled up in a ball and covered in leaves, but then he went for a walk, and that's when I snapped him.

I see a fox in my garden 2 or 3 times a year, too.

There was once a big-ass deer in my backyard. I was really young, maybe 3 or so, and apparently I told my parents there was a "big doggy" outside. I went out to pet it and was scared #####less.

At my grans in Barbados there's lizards... Everywhere. One twice as big as yer head tried to stare me down when I was 5 but I took none of that guff and called my mom out, but it ran under the porch before she came out and everyone (to this day) thought I was talking about a palm-sized little one that was also on the road.

Anyway take a picture of a raccoon... If they even live there. I'm unclear. I know they like don't exist in England but what about Scotland?

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: ASR on 15 January 2008, 02:36:46
Great, now he's going to devote his time to catpuring a raccoon snapshot rather than finishing up MMM.

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: Mikero on 15 January 2008, 02:56:15
I was going to write a children's book about an English (Longshire or somethin') Raccoon about a year ago. One of the many trials he'd go through was trying to find himself, as no one seems to understand what a raccoon is in England ("Is it like a 'edge'og?" No.) and he was gonna go on a world (maybe) tour trying to find his past. It actually wasn't a bad idea now that I think of it again.

We had a freaking huge black bear in my backyard once. Actually, we have them in my backyard all the time.

But the freaking huge one was special because I was just laying down in bed when all of a sudden, I hear this, "CRRRAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCKKKK."

I go outside to check it out. The freaking huge black bear tore out this wooden step I had at the bottom of the hill. Probably looking for bugs or something. Anyway, it left when it saw me.

Good times. I see about ten bears every summer.

A CLOUD THAT LOOKS LIKE A BUNNY RABBIT!

Sorry that it's so small, but it was all I could manage as I passed by it on a train.

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: Captain Sanoguchi on 20 April 2008, 18:07:31
Dude, that's the perfect cloud...
You were riding on a train? Are trains fun? I've never ridden on one.

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: Abominator on 20 April 2008, 18:15:13
Trains are good, so long as you don't get a seat facing backwards...

That feels odd.

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: Orange Devil on 20 April 2008, 18:20:09
That's so weird that you haven't ridden on a train. I ride trains all the time, we take the Metra to Chicago and then ride the "L" to get around the city. So yeah, lots of trainage.

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: ChaosVortex on 20 April 2008, 18:56:02
I saw a cloud before that looked like a woman swimming. It was pretty neat.

That cloud has the fuzzy tail and everything.

Title: Re: NATURE! as seen by me...
Post by: Mikero on 20 April 2008, 20:46:13
Subways and proper trains aren't really the same. They don't feel the same at all.

Trains are good, so long as you don't get a seat facing backwards...

That feels odd.

It feels like time travel.

The "L" is a noisey noisey mess of a train. That thing sounds like it's going to crumble every time you crawl inside it, and thus I walk. The Metra is sweet, though, but it's far surpassed by the California Zephyr.

On the topic of clouds: I once saw an amazing set of clouds that looked like wings spreading outward from the horizon, it was the kind of thing I wanted a painter to capture.

I remember on the bus back from New York I looked up into the sky from the window and saw a cloud so screwed up that it was bordered by a rainbow.

I didn't have a camera.

Trains are fun to ride on, very relaxing.

Yes.

Unfortunately, I was unable to capture a photograph since I didn't have a camera equipped.

Nor do I ever.

Oh man, I swear I swear I triple swear I saw the coolest clouds ever.  I remember it so clearly.  I was in the car with my mom (when am i ever not hahaha lol) and the sun was setting and as I looked outside at the sky, I saw TWO FEROCIOUS DRAGONS FIGHTING. I couldn't believe my #####ing eyes. DRAGONS! In the sky! And as if that wasn't cool enough, ASH MOTHER#####ING KETCHUM WAS RIDING ON ONE OF THE DRAGONS. And they were fighting and screaming at each other and I tried to get my mom to look but she was too busy with driving.  And the further we drove the more the clouds dispersed and contorted and shifted and soon they turned back into clouds.  I've never seen cooler #####ing clouds in my whole #####ing life.

#####.

Funny how this thread only has two pictures in it.

TWO #####ING PICTURES.

I'm in a #####ing mood today.

I don't know #####ing why.

Maybe I'm not even &&&&&&ing cussing, maybe I'm just pretending I am so you all will **(*(^%&ing like me.

I changed the subject of this topic due to me showing you all this, which is not a photo of something from nature.

It is in fact an album cover that I made for my friend's band.

It's out next month.

It's a lot less abstract than the things I usually draw, but I still like it.

Thanks a lot, but I really don't like posting art for some reason...

I'm only doin that because it's not really "mine" since it's pictures of real people, who asked for it's creation...!

It's all about the clean!

I might add the kid into the mix.

The Jason in my av is probably the best thing I've drawn recently, but I fear it'd end up on #####ty pop-goth t-shirts if I put it up full size.

And I know it's all a bit trenday, but like I say, it's not really my style.
