Title: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 21 January 2008, 00:40:31 Yeah, something simple I did, trying to make myself a character.
Not final, but Lumberjacks are cool. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: preventerWIND on 21 January 2008, 00:42:08 Alternate JC is best JC.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Captain Sanoguchi on 21 January 2008, 00:42:56 I approve of chainsaws.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 21 January 2008, 00:43:27 Alternate JC is a happy guy.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 21 January 2008, 00:47:02 Axe or chainsaw? Because both is pretty gay, and manly men don't rely on machinery, yet chainsaws are undeniably cooler than a plain old axe, but, then again, the manliness factor.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: preventerWIND on 21 January 2008, 00:48:48 .
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 21 January 2008, 00:55:29 Well, I'll tend to use the Chainsaw more often and keep the axe behind my back in the suspenders (which I might do away with).
I might keep it in a belt loop. The chainsaw will either be carried around in my hands all the time or I'll pull it out of my beard when I get pissed. This design is not final, so I may do away with the chainsaw in favor or a splitting maul/ axe combo, and possibly ditch the growing beard. Any suggestions? And nice Wind. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 21 January 2008, 01:13:00 Okay, definitely go with the beard as a stowaway place for your entire arsenal of weapons.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 21 January 2008, 02:04:16 Will do.
I'm making a comic now. I'm on the second and final page. Posted on: January 20, 2008, 08:29:16 PM I got lazy on page 2. Posted on: January 20, 2008, 08:55:03 PM I realize the second page is crap. Ignore it. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 21 January 2008, 02:11:24 Too messy, but I definitely get the gist. And I like it. I love when you stuff the chainsaw into your beard, it seems so natural and comical after the whole zombie fight.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 21 January 2008, 02:17:24 Thanks!
I'd do more but I'm tired of art tonight. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: preventerWIND on 21 January 2008, 09:40:40 Thanks!Well, I'm not, it's 4am over here, and for some reason, whenever it's late I seem to draw better. See? Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Captain Sanoguchi on 21 January 2008, 19:30:49 Bitchin', it's like Brutal Legend meets Dawn of the dead, but with Lumberjacks... With Guitar Hero in there somewhere.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 21 January 2008, 22:11:11 I love it, so much.
If my computer hadn't finally DIED today, I'd make it my permanant wallpaper. I will when I get a new computer. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 21 January 2008, 22:14:39 Army Of Darkness style, I can dig it.
Drawing better at night is common. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: preventerWIND on 21 January 2008, 22:16:42 I'm gonna PS it soon, taking pictures with a digicam is a bitch since it looks like utter crap..
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 22 January 2008, 04:58:37 Try for something like..

Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 27 May 2008, 03:53:41 I know.
Funny though. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Orange Devil on 27 May 2008, 16:36:10 This is really funny. I saw the topic and I thought "What else would he draw other than big men with rippling muscles and beards?
And you seriously drew a bearded lumberjack with a half axe half guitar. GO YOU! Oh gawd... you drew an axe with a beard. :o Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 27 May 2008, 16:37:57 Well, Winduh drew that.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 28 May 2008, 01:50:42 I'm bored, I shall take a drawing request now.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ChaosVortex on 28 May 2008, 02:07:22 Wow. I'm bored too, so here's something from the top of my head:
A scene of Metal Man fighting Shadow Man, throwing Metal and Shadow Blades at each other. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 28 May 2008, 02:10:34 Uh, I'm not so knowing about classic bosses...
I'd have to go look up models of both, which I suppose I'll do. Crap, I'll have it done by tomorrow. :( Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ChaosVortex on 28 May 2008, 03:06:35 You don't have to do it if you don't want to, It's not like an assignment or anything. If you'd rather do something else, wait for a different request. I'd rather see a quality drawing than a quick one.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 28 May 2008, 03:12:37 I will attempt it, I'm thinking of a dramatic shot to make it into.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Jakey on 28 May 2008, 03:32:28 Gotta be on the Eiffel Tower. You never see fights on the Eiffel Tower.

That will be difficult to convey in a single picture. Posted on: May 27, 2008, 11:02:14 PM *forgot about the epic battle* Oh well. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann fans will recognize this instantly. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: The Otaku on 12 June 2008, 21:24:54 Whoa, nice sketches. Looks like they came from the original Megaman show producers themselves. (Please don't take that as an insult.)
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 12 June 2008, 21:25:16 I said 'rough sketch' and he pops out that masterpiece.
Jackass. ::) Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: preventerWIND on 12 June 2008, 21:27:15 Hey, I take rough sketches very seriously, I want my ideas to be seeen!
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Winged Warrior on 12 June 2008, 21:35:58 I say it should be sprited and added to Mchat.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: The Otaku on 12 June 2008, 21:43:33 Yeah, it would sure look nice in color. But shrinking it might ruin the intimidating look and just make it cute. Unless you stick the axe in.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 12 June 2008, 21:44:14 I'm working a newer version of it right now, which is basically Wind's one V.2, as my sketch is total crap compared to it.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Chron on 12 June 2008, 21:49:40 John Carllos? ART?
JC ART? I'm impressed. Or something. Might be indigestion. Axe guy looks cool. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 12 June 2008, 22:03:26 Axe guy is all Wind.
Wind's art kills mine. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Chron on 12 June 2008, 22:04:39 That's because he's WIIIIIIINDUH.

Title: Re:JC's art (if you can call it that) Post by: Johncarllos on 6 February 2009, 18:58:10 Quick sketch of my character in MSPaint cuz I'm bored, will be up in 5.

Posted on: August 04, 2008, 09:09:37 PM I made this using the graffiti application on facebook. Didn't go too nuts on it. Just an hour's worth of time and it's not even really complete. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 7 February 2009, 01:05:04 It is. I dig it.
You would think I'd have that application, but I got rid of it. It took up too much profile space and no one used it, plus I don't even like appliations in the first place to I try to keep 'em down. It's a fun thing though if you get something going with people. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 7 February 2009, 04:48:45 I have most of the stuff turned off on my profile anyways.
I like graffiti almost as much as tetris. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Snare on 8 February 2009, 21:43:27 Graffiti is like the almost application I ever use! And the personality thing cause I like how it says I'm like 85% neurotic.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 8 February 2009, 22:09:30 I don't use any of the applications, not a fan.
I used to use Graffiti but then I stopped caring. And I have Bumper Stickers and Flair because people are constantly sending me those. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 9 May 2009, 02:33:46 I just made this for Facundo AKA Slug Kid.

preventerWINDUH Next on the list is Mikero. Should be really fun as I expect it to be dark. Wash pencils are good at dark. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 6 July 2009, 04:17:23 You guys should be commenting on how funny The Owl And The Man is because while it's the funniest thing ever I love so CAHM AOWN!
Also I like that Wind is raising the roof. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 6 July 2009, 06:30:22 Thanks.
His hands are a little screwy, but eh. Anyways, Here is Mikero, pre-wash, and post-wash. The last picture hadn't fully dried yet. If you want one without the crinkles, I'll upload it. Posted on: July 05, 2009, 11:28:45 PM No comments? :( Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 6 July 2009, 06:39:22 THIS IS WHY I'M HOT.
Look at those eyes, what a hunk of monk. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 6 July 2009, 06:54:13 Yeah, the eyes are a bit over the top.
I think I did almost okay with the lighting though. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Majikn on 6 July 2009, 07:04:25 I think the art is cool. I said that already but I'm justifying a post about The Owl and the Man, which I think is ridiculously amusing.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 6 July 2009, 07:07:49 I have pretty thick eyelashes in real life so I think the eyes are fine, actually.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 6 July 2009, 07:19:27 I do too.
I didn't notice until college and women started commenting on it. Of course not to me, to other girls, and one of those girls is my girlfriend. Apparently my redeeming physical features are eyelashes and shoulders. Woohoo. Regardless, good. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 6 July 2009, 07:24:15 It's annoying. My eyelashes are always sticking together in the corners and crap. An ex, when we were together, would always ask if I was wearing guyliner or eyeshadow or mascara or whatever. A constant irritation.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 6 July 2009, 07:31:11 I have been asked before if I was using mascara.
It was awkward. It's funny because my girlfriend has thin eyelashes. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 6 July 2009, 12:53:33 I have long eyelashes, but not neccessarily thick.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 6 July 2009, 18:09:29 Thick and long here.
Whatever connotation you like with that. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 6 July 2009, 20:06:38 There is this particular connotation that I am enjoying.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 6 July 2009, 21:05:30 You mean there's this particular connotation that you wish you were enjoying!
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 6 July 2009, 22:42:06 A boy can dream!
Whatever connotation you like with that. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Majikn on 6 July 2009, 22:54:43 Haha, dicktion.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 7 July 2009, 02:52:14 Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 7 July 2009, 03:31:03 That is your connoation!
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 18 September 2009, 02:45:02 A sketch of me.
Liked it. Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: NovaMan XP on 18 September 2009, 02:58:15 I like it, expression is great.
"Did he REALLY just do that?" Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Johncarllos on 18 September 2009, 03:03:01 That's what I was going for.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: ASR on 18 September 2009, 04:08:22 I got more of a "you put what in my butt" vibe from it.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Jakey on 18 September 2009, 13:04:11 It looks kinda like you're a nearsighted eskimo.
Title: Re: The art of JC Post by: Mikero on 19 September 2009, 04:29:08 "What what, in the butt?" vibe for sure. Thought that before I even thought about seeing ASR's post.
