Title: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 10 February 2008, 23:13:22 I have always loved these games they are all awesome. So I thought you guys might enjoy the topic too.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Mikero on 11 February 2008, 00:05:52 I hate Dante too much to like any of them.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Abominator on 11 February 2008, 00:06:58 I have all of them, but I've really only played the 1st in depth, so I'm gonna have to go for it.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Lunchebox on 11 February 2008, 00:08:32 What the hell was the point of the first game? There was like some mission you were hired out for, and that bitch jumps past the Goddamn house, but you have to go through it. What the hell?
Then when you get out.... End of the goddamn game. I kept asking myself "When am I going to get to the fun part of the mother #####ing game?". Well guess what. I never #####ing got there, so screw Devil may Cry. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 11 February 2008, 00:13:58 I love these games. : P
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 11 February 2008, 00:14:48 Really? I'd never have guessed.
I have always loved these games they are all awesome. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 11 February 2008, 00:15:55 Lol. good timing.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 11 February 2008, 00:20:01 HEY GUYS I LIKE VIDEO GAMES
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Mikero on 11 February 2008, 00:34:27 I love ninjas dhuhoo hoo hoo har hoo hee haw.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Speed Racer on 11 February 2008, 01:02:31 I have to vote for Devil May Cry 4, seeing as it is the only one in the series that I have played.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ChaosVortex on 11 February 2008, 01:29:00 Only played/owned the 1st. Have yet to beat it.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 11 February 2008, 02:56:17 I've played the first one for a maximum of one hour.
So that, I guess. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Mikero on 11 February 2008, 03:06:56 I watched someone try to fight the first boss. I've thought the game was bad ever since.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ChaosVortex on 11 February 2008, 04:02:08 I heard Dante isn't in the fourth one.
My friend says the story loses him, and that it doesn't make sense. I punched him for such a redundant remark. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Speed Racer on 11 February 2008, 07:06:32 He's there, but I'm not quite sure how exactly you play as him. I'm six chapters into DMC 4, and I've only played as Nero. Dante is definitely in the game, the opening scenes have him in a totally badass fight with Nero.
Edit: Hell, the opening fight between Nero and Dante alone is worth the money that you paid for the game. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 12 February 2008, 23:01:10 You start to play as him on the 12th mission to the end of the game.
Posted on: 11 February 2008, 12:00:48 I heard Dante isn't in the fourth one. The story makes perfect sense also. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Kamon on 12 February 2008, 23:04:39 I own the first 3 (got the first 2 cheap and got given the third's Special Edition for free from a Lost and Found box, brand new.) The first one is the best in my opinion.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: preventerWIND on 12 February 2008, 23:07:40 Never got into the series and don't plan on doing so. But IMO Nero and Dante look too much alike, stuip move.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Abominator on 12 February 2008, 23:23:06 But they're supposed to look alike!
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: NovaMan XP on 13 February 2008, 01:30:59 There's probably a good reason why they look alike.
I tried the demo, it's fun, but I won't be able to get it for a while.. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Abominator on 13 February 2008, 02:05:36 I bought it and it's now in my pile of dust-gathering unplayed games.
I really waste money a lot these days. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 13 February 2008, 05:13:56 The art book that Gamestop gives away to people who pre-ordered the game says flat out that Nero is unique.
I wonder why they think that? Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 13 February 2008, 13:46:03 That is dumb the only different thing is no styles and he has the devil bringer.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Speed Racer on 14 February 2008, 09:19:52 The art book that Gamestop gives away to people who pre-ordered the game says flat out that Nero is unique. I flipped through it last night; the only time they use the word "unique" around Nero is when they're talking about his gun. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 14 February 2008, 20:25:25 Than edge crusher lied to me. That makes me a sad panda.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 14 February 2008, 23:21:53 Are you a panda, Yuri? Are you? Really, now?
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ChaosVortex on 14 February 2008, 23:58:09 DON'T TAUNT A RESPONSE. HE'LL JUST KILL MORE BRAIN CELLS.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 14 February 2008, 23:59:46 HE'LL NEVER KILL MY CAIN BRELLS!
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: NovaMan XP on 15 February 2008, 00:34:17 wuts a bran cel;?

Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Johncarllos on 15 February 2008, 00:41:48 Who am I?
Where I am? WHAT AM I!? What is jump? Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: preventerWIND on 15 February 2008, 00:46:44 JUMP! JUMP JUMP! JUMP #####! IM #####ING MY HAND!
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Panda on 15 February 2008, 09:50:30 Now I'm a sad panda.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 15 February 2008, 16:53:59 The art book that Gamestop gives away to people who pre-ordered the game says flat out that Nero is unique. Yes, but they use it in juxtaposition. Something like "The only thing more unique than Nero is his gun the Blue Rose". It can clearly be inferred, then, that they're asserting Nero's uniqueness. Much the same as Scorpion, Sub-zero, Ermac, Rain, Noob Saibot, and Smoke are unique characters with only cursory similarities. Than edge crusher lied to me. That makes me a sad panda. My name is one word, a proper noun (and should thus be capitalized), and I do not lie. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 15 February 2008, 17:16:31 Except for that one time when you were all "hay asr get in the truck its free candy day!"
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 15 February 2008, 17:17:56 It WAS free candy day.
You just got something different. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 15 February 2008, 17:19:04 Yeah. An emotional scar.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 15 February 2008, 17:20:21 Chicks dig scars.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 15 February 2008, 17:23:38 Oh, alright then! Thanks Edge!
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 16 February 2008, 00:23:13 I have a scar on my butt from the clown who made me get in the car.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: NovaMan XP on 16 February 2008, 00:38:20 I think we were trying to avoid making it serious.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 16 February 2008, 01:01:45 Oh sorry.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Speed Racer on 16 February 2008, 05:02:10 "Nero brandishes Blue Rose, a unique six-shooter with a distinctive under-and-over double barrel, and Red Queen, a customized and meticulously embellished single-edged blade."
The gun is unique, not Nero. HE IS UNIQUE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 16 February 2008, 05:03:17 Even me? Really?
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Speed Racer on 16 February 2008, 05:03:58 Yuss.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 18 February 2008, 01:28:11 "Nero brandishes Blue Rose, a unique six-shooter with a distinctive under-and-over double barrel, and Red Queen, a customized and meticulously embellished single-edged blade." My bad, it was the sword it was referring to. "Nero's blade is as singularly unique as it's wielder." Page 14 of "The Art of Devil May Cry 4" Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Speed Racer on 18 February 2008, 04:18:40 OH SNAP SON.
Edge is correct, as per usual. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 18 February 2008, 21:27:46 Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Mikero on 18 February 2008, 21:43:22 ... Uhf. You.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Voulnet on 18 February 2008, 22:53:57 Appreciate yuri's dedication. He wants to win one of the awards here at Matrix, you know which one.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 19 February 2008, 01:37:37 Hehehe. Back sleep award? Was that it?
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: NovaMan XP on 19 February 2008, 01:47:09 Black Sheep.
But we all know Sano wins that one already. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 19 February 2008, 01:49:10 I knew it was Black Sheep.
There should be a Back Sleep award. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 19 February 2008, 21:27:19 Darn I thought I was gonna win.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Mikero on 22 February 2008, 06:29:58 Do you even know what it means?
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 23 February 2008, 05:14:33 Yes I do.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Mikero on 23 February 2008, 08:44:05 I really don't think you do, sweetheart, you haven't been here long enough to my knowledge.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: yuri on 23 February 2008, 15:01:14 Yes but I'm also not a retard.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Abominator on 23 February 2008, 15:18:04 That's debatable.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 23 February 2008, 18:05:06 *laughs* The rarity with which Abe posts makes that comment all the sweeter.
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Majikn on 23 February 2008, 18:25:22 You don't need to have been here for a long time to know what it means. I figured he was kidding when he said "Darn".
Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: Edgecrusher on 23 February 2008, 18:30:36 What Mike is getting at is that it takes TIME to be established as the black sheep.
I'd say trying to be the black sheep pretty much exempts you from being one anyway. I have a cousin who always talks about how he's our families black sheep. The irony of this being that he has said conversations with... my family. If you're talking to us about how you're an outcast, obviously you're not. Title: Re: Devil May Cry Post by: ASR on 25 February 2008, 00:35:47 I know that feeling. It's kind of like when the kid you don't like starts referring to himself as "the kid you guys don't like" and thinks it's a joke.
