Because X is a wishy-washy guy with a soft heart, he likes to store them in the eight hearts he finds during his missions and place them on a shelf. Each one has a little name plaque under it and it's in a glass case. He uses the sub-tanks as planters for various botanical accents around the room, and his armors go in the center to honor the fallen. As for the power-up chips, the effects are only fleeting because they're like reploid crack and if X continues using them he'll get addicted and have to go to rehab.
