Title: MMM Super Smash Bros Brawl Tournament (WINNER: CHAOSVORTEX) Post by: ASR on 17 March 2008, 01:14:51 WINNER IS CHAOSVORTEX
During the "Double-Or-Nothing Round" against me... he lost. So he gets nothing. But I'm a nice guy so he still gets something. Just 'cuz. RULES ---------------- The starting date is as-of-yet undecided, but the general rules are solidified. Every Brawl will be between two players, as shown on the bracket. They will be 5-Stock Matches on the stage Battlefield or Final Destination. Items will be turned to ON. After each Brawl, BOTH contestants of every match must PM me the results of their Brawl. If both PM's results are inconsistent with each other, I will intervene. The winner will move on to the next round. ROUND ONE - (days 1-2) Each Brawl in Round One on the bracket will be given two days to complete their match. If in two days the Brawl has not been carried out, I, ASR, will decide what happens. ROUND TWO - (days 3-4) In Round Two, each Brawl in Group A and Group B on the bracket will be given two days to complete their match. If in two days the Brawl has not been carried out, I, ASR, will decide what happens. The exception to this is Group C, who will have 4 days to complete their Brawls during Round Two. ROUND THREE - (days 5-6) The only match in Round Three will be between the remaining players from Group A and Group B. The remaining player from Group C gets a bye on this round and waits until the Final Round. FINAL ROUND - (day 7 and on) The remaining two contestants will have as much time as needed to complete this final match. The winner of this match is the winner of the tournament. CONTESTANTS -------------------------- Every contestant is responsible for adding all of their opponents to their WFC Friend Roster. I haven't added Dr. and CV yet because they were added after that, but that's about it. I don't know what the deal with registration is, but I know it says you're registered on my list and I'm pretty damn sure if you actually checked it would say the same for you, too.
Just because I got on once to fight with JC doesn't mean I'm going to add everyone immediately, anyway. I was just on there looking for a few quick fights and be done with it. I've been busy so it hardly matters if I've registered you until we're both online anyway. Time the matches up to three minutes and save the replays. If there is ANY disagreement over who SHOULD'VE won, arrangements can be made for ASR to watch the replay and he'll deduct points for each cheap KO and then the score will be re-tallied. After the three-player battles, naturally, we can go on to the five stock matches. Suggestion. Timed Brawls don't show skill at all. In fact, if the two players are equally-skilled, it's an unfair match because it will end in Sudden Death, and the quicker/luckier player will win, not necessarily the better one. Regardless of that, I trust you guys enough, plus the only way we'll have a problem is if somebody lies and both combatants disagree over who won. I absolutely love it when I plant a C4 on one of my friends when they least suspect it and lure them higher on the stage so I can set it off closer to the top.
It's also fun when they run towards you with high % and step on one of the mines I've placed, killing them, while I just stand there. Snake is actually a really good fighter, but I can't get his moves down right. I'd have to practice with him. In Basic Brawl, he's awesome at "stealing" kills.

If you're quick enough to make up for his slow speed, he's a serious powerhouse.
I wish you still had your Wii so I could fight you as him. As for Donkey Kong, I used to HATE him. I probably used him close to never in Melee. Yet, I got a feel for him in Brawl and decided he rocked the house. He's just unpopular is all. No doubt someone can probably be good with him, but I don't like him. Donkey Kong is better for me. I can at least manage to hit and KO someone with him. In fact, he used to be one of my favorites to use in Melee before I really got used to agile characters.
