Title: Graduation Post by: Dr. on 14 May 2008, 05:20:52 Last year. I graduate next week.
High School was fun. Anyone else graduating? Going to college? Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Fatso on 14 May 2008, 05:26:14 *has been accepted to SFU for Computing Science with a $3500 entrance scholarship*
Still a month of high school to go for me. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Xzeemo on 14 May 2008, 07:00:39 Hey Congrats to all of you who are graduating this year, I get to next year. :( But many of my friends are done now, today was the seniors last day at my school. I'm gonna miss them.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ASR on 14 May 2008, 11:38:24 It seems like a lot of us are around the same age group.
I've got about 8 days left of school, not to mention one of those days is Senior Skip Day, so it doesn't even count. I've got prom and then graduation and then summer. I'm either going to have a big open house grad party or bring a few of my good friends up north to my condo because my family just got a huge new boat... one of my friends saw it when he went up with me before and keeps telling everyone it's a yacht. It's not, but he isn't too far off. It'll be tons of fun if we spend the weekend up north, which I'm leaning towards. Anyway, I'm going to Western Michigan University. I'm actually wearing one of the T-shirts I bought there right now. They're really cool T-shirts. I tell people I'm going only because of the T-shirts. Usually when people ask where I'm going, I say "I applied to our local community college but Harvard is my backup." Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 14 May 2008, 13:06:56 I'll be graduating next month, and I'll be heading to Algonquin College for Game Development.
All I need to say, really. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: MOX on 14 May 2008, 16:06:29 I also have till next year. I'd really like to get into this college http://www.artcenter.edu/ but I'll probably won't be able to and end up getting into a different one.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Rama Olendris on 14 May 2008, 16:31:38 I'm old... I graduated in 2006... though it is funny that on my diploma the date says 06 06 2006.
Good luck to everyone leaving High School. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Winged Warrior on 14 May 2008, 20:20:09 Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ChaosVortex on 14 May 2008, 21:45:39 Graduating next week, on Friday. I already got an invitation to a Grad party. This will be good.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Xero on 14 May 2008, 21:47:04 I'm all finished.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Friggit Deathblade on 14 May 2008, 21:47:47 Graduating on June 13th. Ah, its been a good run. Although I REALLY should be working on those scholarships... e.e
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ASR on 14 May 2008, 21:48:26 I've got 5 more days, officially.
Grad Party invites? I've already gotten like 6 but mostly from people I either A) don't like, B) don't care for, or C) don't understand why they'd invite me. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Johncarllos on 15 May 2008, 00:15:20 Screw grad parties.
I finish classes next Friday, 8 days left. This weekend is Senior Prom, Graduation is June 8th, project grad that night. It's been a swell run, and I'll STILL have to go to track practice. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Speed Racer on 16 May 2008, 00:32:32 I'm graduating from Misericordia University with a degree in accounting and minors in English and management.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ASR on 16 May 2008, 02:13:30 THIS IS STRICTLY HIGH-SCHOOL-GRADUATION DISCUSSION, BUDDY
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Abominator on 16 May 2008, 13:17:03 Ha ha, graduation is real and not just from TV.
I love your made up culture. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ChaosVortex on 16 May 2008, 21:18:16 Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Mikero on 17 May 2008, 02:24:03 High School is so dumb. Like, not the learning. That's important and you will use it again. But like, you think things matter or are hard and place so much importance on personal issues and then you laugh at yourself for ever being such a wad a few years later.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: preventerWIND on 17 May 2008, 02:27:56 Oh no! I have to study AND do an essay? WHY ME!? :'(
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Abominator on 17 May 2008, 02:30:03 And then there's Lex Luthor to worry about!
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Mikero on 17 May 2008, 02:31:57 Don't forget to care about the political issues of nations you know absolutely nothing about!
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: preventerWIND on 17 May 2008, 02:32:28 All that, and you even have a curfew at 10pm! Hoo-boy!
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: MOX on 17 May 2008, 03:35:34 Aren't you still in high school too Wind?
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Friggit Deathblade on 17 May 2008, 04:03:54 Just few more weeks 'till freedom. Then college... *glances at the crying slab of leather that used to be my wallet*
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 17 May 2008, 04:44:44 Oh ####.
I might not get into residence for Algonquin. D: Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Fatso on 17 May 2008, 04:48:36 HA-HA!
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: preventerWIND on 17 May 2008, 04:51:34 Aren't you still in high school too Wind? I am, we get off late, but go back to school late as well.. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ASR on 17 May 2008, 06:17:16 High School is so dumb. Like, not the learning. That's important and you will use it again. But like, you think things matter or are hard and place so much importance on personal issues and then you laugh at yourself for ever being such a wad a few years later. I've had that feeling all year, about previous years. And I'm sure next year it'll be the same thing, but about this year. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Mikero on 17 May 2008, 06:26:10 Oh ####. Residence sucks at the Gonq and is overpriced anyway. If you can't get into res try to get an apartment in a place called Deerfield. You'll need a couple roomies. But it's like next-door to the residence building. Literally across a street, so you're not any further from school buildings. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Dr. on 23 May 2008, 03:49:47 I graduated Tuesday night and it was amazing. I was glad. I went home, got some Dairy Queen, went to project grad, and had an amazing night.
Sad thing is, after project grad, all the Seniors' cars were trashed. So: ##### o9 and get in line, cause it's o8, so get it straight. Posted on: 22 May 2008, 21:48:05 I got accepted into Westwood college south of Chicago. I got a full ride. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: BlackMcJack on 23 May 2008, 04:04:28 Sad thing is, after project grad, all the Seniors' cars were trashed. you mean MY car was trashed Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Dr. on 23 May 2008, 04:05:07 QQ BITCH. >>
-runsaway- Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ChaosVortex on 23 May 2008, 04:05:36 I'm able to walk the stage. I also got a ticket to Project Graduation at Daytona Lagoon.
Go-karts, water park, arcades, laser tag, golf, and other good #####. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: BlackMcJack on 23 May 2008, 04:15:46 I just got through my first year of college at UMR, and I really don't want to go back.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Dr. on 23 May 2008, 14:50:37 Why not?
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ASR on 23 May 2008, 18:44:18 Oh, I forgot to mention. They had to move our graduation ceremony a few hours earlier because those Red Bull Air Races are going on in the same exact place along the Detroit River at the original time. So we're all just staying and we're going to enjoy that after getting our diplomas.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Jakey on 26 May 2008, 17:44:25 I have another year until I graduate high school.
Isn't that freaking amazing. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Johncarllos on 26 May 2008, 17:45:28 You're finishing the worst year.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Jakey on 26 May 2008, 17:47:01 What, Junior year?
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ASR on 26 May 2008, 17:49:10 Yeah, Junior year sucks. It's the almost year.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: ChaosVortex on 26 May 2008, 17:49:55 My graduation day (http://www.megaman.co.uk/mboard/index.php?topic=63.msg32153#msg32153).
Also, the next year is gonna suck for my non-senior friends. The school is now issueing seven-period classes instead of four blocks, so they have to take seven classes instead of four. All Sophmores and Freshmen next year have to take the FCAT Science as a requirement to graduate too, so it sucks to be them (Doesn't include any of my friends). The whole new class schedule is gonna wipe out some electives too. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Jakey on 26 May 2008, 18:22:33 No way dudes, Junior year has kicked sooooo much ass. I've done more stuff this year than like, my entire childhood combined.
Senior year is going to blow compared to Junior year. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Johncarllos on 26 May 2008, 18:24:32 Junior is the hardest year academically.
The rest of it can rock though. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Fatso on 26 May 2008, 18:29:43 HA! Junior year? Hard? There was no learning in that year for me. Seriously.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Jakey on 26 May 2008, 18:54:20 I live in Ghetto Texas, which is a subdivision of Dallas, TX.
Learning does not apply. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: The Otaku on 3 June 2008, 16:39:31 I came here thinking this was about Mr. West's hit album. Sad to see it isn't.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Fatso on 3 June 2008, 18:40:15 Conversely, I would be sad to see that it WAS, if it were.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Mikero on 3 June 2008, 20:04:50 I would have no emotion. So far, I think that album is pretty meh.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: The Otaku on 4 June 2008, 01:12:11 I would have no emotion. So far, I think that album is pretty meh. Well the cover art was nice. But it was weird that a rapper like West, who says ##### at least ten times in almost every song, would use such a happy looking cover for this particular album. Well, at least it's better than a close-up picture of his face, like in 50 Cent's album, which came out on the same day as West's. Fortunately I forgot the name of it. Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Mikero on 4 June 2008, 07:44:11 Everything about 50 Cent is wrong in the first place.
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Abominator on 4 June 2008, 19:03:42 Don't you like vacuous monotone drawl?
Title: Re: Graduation Post by: Mikero on 4 June 2008, 21:39:32 Now I can't tell if you're talking about 50 or One Republic. But the fact that they're so easily comparable means neither is doing their job well.
