So I know Wily and Light together made the first six, but after that who all made the extra ones? Didn't some come from space or something? I know Wily created more by himself too, but I don't know which ones.

The extra ones? You mean the 8 in every other game? Well, usually in the intro of a game it says "Dr.Wily created 8 powerful robot..etc" so I'm taking a total guess when I say Wily made them.

I hear that Shadowman was originally a robot from space that crashed on earth and Wily rebuilt him. I'm sure there are other stories like that but thats the only one I've heard.

MM2-3, Wily made them. In MM4, I'm pretty sure Cossack made them. MM5-MM&B, Wily made. I'm pretty sure.

Don't know about the Gameboy games.

Ah. Those. Well MMGB 1-3 Wily just recreates the robot masters, while in MM4 he reprograms the robot masters of the past that were in a design expo or something, sort of like reprogramming robot masters from the robot museum.

Hmm, I'm also fairly sure the MM6 Robot Masters were actually created by seperate private designers and later taken over by Wily as specified in the intro cutscene (as opposed to the whole thing being a huge sham), although it was ambiguous enough that it could go either way.

Such as Clown Man was originally on a Science TV show, that went off the air.

And Astro Man was used to teach/entertain kids at a Planetarium... I think.

Clownman and Astroman were already built, he just made them DEADLY.

Hey, what's this story about Shadowman being a space robot that Wily fixed up? Never, EVER heard of this one before, so it's definetely new to me.

All the dopest robots come from space.

... OK only two are that dope; Shadow Man, and Duo.  But they're wicked.

Mostly because they're posers......and non-canon.

It's not even that, they just aren't that rad.

For future reference, I've created a chart.

Shadowman and Duo, as you can see, give off about... 20 to 30 megarads at any given time, which, I think we can agree, is totally rad.

And as indicate by the chart, on average, the other bots give off about 3 to 15 negarads, which is not rad at all.

Also, me and Mike, our posts will go from 10 megarads to about 30 gigarads, depending on the post content. (actually some of mine will give of maybe at about 0 rads, to be honest, but more often than not, gigarads.


Xzeemo, as far as I can tell, you exhibit maybe 20 negarads to upwards of 8.999K negarads.

But it could be worse. You could be Iris Blossom, whose posts are, at best 50 negarads, and at worse, Infinity negarads.

Xzeemo's is the funniest, because it tried so hard at the beginning.

I can confirm Chao's assumption of Cossack making the Robot Masters in MM4, I have the game on the my old NES and he's smack dab in the middle of the stage select screen.
