There, now this post is interesting.

It rips off Metroid. They both have arm cannons. And some of the bosses from MegaMan remind me of Star Wars characters.

Guys. Sonic ripped off of Mario.

They both ran real fast, their first stages were both in green plain-like areas, they jumped over pits of death, and they held their hands out and jumped off-screen whenever they died.

Besides the arm cannon, there are no similarities. Hell, you could say Super Metroid ripped off Megaman by giving Samus a charge shot.

Vile comes to mind, but that's about it.

I remember Inafune saying something about the origins of Vile and Zero, Vile was based off of a character from Mad Maxx, and Zero was based off of someone from the Strider series.

But the helmet is a total rip off of the Fett man.

MegaMan is obviously a clone of Samus. They have the same attacks.

With this logic you could say that all of the NES games with princesses in them are ripping off Zelda. Just because something is similar, does not mean its ripping off something else.

Sure game companies may borrow certain aspects of a game, but unless the game is a outright CLONE its not a rip-off.

Unless your Micro$oft giving the new IE7 tabbed browsing and making it look like Firefox.

Back on topic. Lets face it, as much as I love my NES, games during the NES era were all pretty similar...Lets look today, are the newer Megaman and Metroid games really that much similar NOW? Not at all.

Aside from some color differences, Fett does look like Vile. But Howie Long looks like Duke Nukem too, and I don't think that anything was copied there.

I get most of my money by selling stuff on Amazon and doing online surveys.

It's never really going to stop being a lot money exactly.
