Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Captain Sanoguchi on 17 July 2008, 06:36:38 Uh... No.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ASR on 17 July 2008, 06:48:44 Ahaha, I watched the first one and LOVED it. Great find! I loves me some Neil Patrick Harris.
EDIT: Shut up, Sano, this is fantastic. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ChaosVortex on 17 July 2008, 06:59:37 Uh... Yes.
What ASR said. You're a fun nazi Sano. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ASR on 17 July 2008, 07:06:21 Just finished the second. Thanks for capping off my night with something like this.
The first song in the second video was amazingly well-done! Also...
The hammer is my #####.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ChaosVortex on 17 July 2008, 07:53:56 I watched the first one. I'll watch more sometime later.
I'll admit, in the beginning, I thought this was gonna blow. I was tempted to close the window. Thankfully I didn't, I would've missed a good video. I liked the freeze ray song. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Chron on 17 July 2008, 14:16:39 The production value here is classy.
I like, I like. Always have liked evil scientist sort of things. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Yubi Shines on 21 July 2008, 13:04:41 Look, it has fanfiction already!
Awesome Alternate Ending by amaliedageek (http://amaliedageek.livejournal.com/279788.html) Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ASR on 21 July 2008, 20:18:56 I loved the entire thing, great stuff. It's a shame it's not online anymore, since I didn't have time to watch them all-three back-to-back in a sort of personal finale. I only had time to watch Act 3 one and only once, and I was partially distracted during it.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ChaosVortex on 22 July 2008, 06:10:20 Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ASR on 22 July 2008, 06:11:16 I downloaded them all and I rewatched the whole thing a few times throughout the day (I've had nothing to do all day so I figured I might as well).
It's really amazing every time you watch it. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Panda on 23 July 2008, 06:29:24 Look, it has fanfiction already! A great reminder of why I don't read fanfiction. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ASR on 23 July 2008, 07:51:58 I almost think that was meant more to be a joke, but then again, I'm probably wrong. Which is sad.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Edgecrusher on 23 July 2008, 15:18:39 I just can't get into this.
I really tried, and the concept seems solid enough... I blame Joss Whedon. I haven't liked a single thing he's done. Something about the b-rate camp that his work always seems to accidentally become. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Chron on 23 July 2008, 15:24:30 ... isn't it supposed to be b-rate campy stuff?
I mean, if Buffy the Vampire Slayer isn't supposed to be that... ... what was he trying to do? Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Edgecrusher on 23 July 2008, 15:52:31 That was really more of a generalization of his other work
and while I realize that this is intentionally campy, it reminds me too much of his other accidental attempts. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Chron on 23 July 2008, 16:02:04 *shrugs* Never have seen any of his other stuff. At least not to my knowledge.
I will give you that this is sort of stupid, but I do enjoy the mad scientist bits. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: ASR on 23 July 2008, 16:26:53 I've personally never watched any of his other stuff, of which I only know Buffy and Firefly.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Majikn on 23 July 2008, 19:32:05 I think it was entertaining enough.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Mikero on 23 July 2008, 22:56:10 I dislike how Joss Whedon does the over camp stuff but I liked Buffy and liked Angel even more. Never got into Firefly or Serenity or whatever, though it seemed OK.
The Buffy season 8 comic starts off really well, and feels just like the show (you can pretty much hear them saying this stuff) but lately... not so much. I haven't read the Angel comics, which are the same idea of continuing from the end of the show. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Abominator on 24 July 2008, 20:26:55 Firefly and Serenity are like rectal larvae.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: preventerWIND on 24 July 2008, 20:43:27 The movie was crap. Only good part was when that douche got impaled near the end of the movie, I smiled when that happened.
Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Winged Warrior on 9 August 2008, 10:43:24 Liquid awesome, with bathroom breaks.
I enjoyed it, a shame others can't. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: White Shadow on 9 August 2008, 12:13:44 The movie was crap. Only good part was when that douche got impaled near the end of the movie, I smiled when that happened. Whenever WIND smiles, a puppy dies. I love myself some good Firefly. Only good sci-fi there was ever since Babylon 5 ended. And Dr. Horrible is brilliant, but then I also loved the Buffy musical episode. Title: Re: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Post by: Speed Racer on 11 August 2008, 07:25:14 I love Firefly and Serenity to pieces...but what I love more is Joss' anti-Fox stance that he had for years.
After they screwed over Firefly, he swore that he'd never work with Fox again, none of his work would ever appear on a Fox network, blah blah blah and so on. So yeah, get ready to watch "Dollhouse" this fall on FOX. |
