Title: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 14 October 2008, 04:23:58 Recipes, to be exact.
If you have your very own, unique recipe for a certain food or something of your own, let us know! Give us ingredients, directions, etc. or just share the kinds of foods you really love. Chron and I were talking on AIM about our taste in foods which later led to a discussion of a place I used to work at called Carmela's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria. I've made something similar to this, but I wanna try and remake it into perfection. I call it the Italian Gumbo Pizza (name still pending) No real instructions, and I haven't really made it as I say below, but I will soon enough and see if it's good. Basically, it's a pizza. Any kind of dough, although I want to give it a zesty garlic taste. Pizza sauce with a kick of cajun. The pizza is topped with italian sausage, pepperoni, proscuitto, hamburger (or meatball), covered in shredded mozzarella and pepperjack, then covered with banana peppers, jalapenos (optional), with sprinkles of crushed red peppers. If you decide to find this yummy and want to try to make it yourself, do it however way you want. I have other italian ideas that may sound cooky but could make tastebuds bow down. I won't share them until I try it out and see if it's actually worth sharing. NOW ITS YOUR TURN. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 14 October 2008, 14:08:18 We didn't get around to this while we were talking, but I make this delicious chicken curry dish with chickpeas. Can't really remember the recipe, but it's good stuff.
Goes nice with basmati rice. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 14 October 2008, 17:59:19 I made this beef curry recipe based off of one made in an episode of One Piece.
I put apple skin and yogart in it, like in the show... and it wasn't half bad, actually. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 14 October 2008, 18:08:40 Instant Cup-Cake
Get regular flour and cake mix of any kind, along with 1 egg, milk and sugar. Put 2 table spoons of flour and 2 table spoons of cake mix in a mug, mix 1 table spoon of sugar (and a pinch of salt). Crack in the egg and put 1 cup of milk in, stir very well. Put it in the microwave and cook on high for about 5 minutes, the cake will rise out of the mug, careful for it not to overflow! Take it out when done, it should be good and ready and taste JUST like an actual cake. Also, experiment with other foods by trying ANY condiments, maple syrup goes great with all kinds of stuff! Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 14 October 2008, 22:15:39 I have a recipe for Nanaimo bars I need to try.
I make the most incredible Caesar (yeah that's right) nachos you've never heard of. I rarely make them anymore but I've always gotten rave reviews. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Edgecrusher on 14 October 2008, 22:33:24 Someone once told me I make good chili, though it's not for the feint of heart.
Someone else once told me that I make good chili, but it makes you ##### blood. I'm unsure how to feel about this. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 14 October 2008, 22:38:02 Awesome.
Feel awesome. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Snare on 14 October 2008, 22:47:45 This works in a pinch.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Majikn on 14 October 2008, 22:48:44 The bowl just magically appears like that?
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 14 October 2008, 22:51:45 Someone once told me I make good chili, though it's not for the feint of heart. My chili could kick your chili's ass. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Edgecrusher on 14 October 2008, 23:29:34 I would beg to differ.
Though I suppose this is something we'll never know. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 14 October 2008, 23:33:23 I put boot in my chili, so kickin' ass is gonna happen.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 15 October 2008, 01:14:02 The bowl just magically appears like that? Clearly you've never done smack. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Edgecrusher on 15 October 2008, 01:19:45 I put boot in my chili, so kickin' ass is gonna happen. Sounds like instant fail to me. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 15 October 2008, 02:01:32 OK Ok ok okay. I'm clearly too happy 'cause this isn't a big deal at all but I just made chicken fried rice for the first time, without any directions at all. And I'm eating now, and it's really good. I'm very happy.
... Yea... I didn't really learn to cook much when I was younger so anytime I make something new-especially from scratch without a recipe or anything-I'm a bit proud. But this actually is REALLY good too. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Majikn on 15 October 2008, 02:50:28 Yeah I love that dish.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 15 October 2008, 03:11:15 I have chicken fried rice all the time, I just never make it myself. I actually really like cooking but never do it myself.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 15 October 2008, 04:14:58 I make the most incredible Caesar (yeah that's right) nachos you've never heard of. I rarely make them anymore but I've always gotten rave reviews. If it involves Caesar dressing, you must tell me the recipe. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Rama Olendris on 15 October 2008, 22:11:16 I'm a stove-top warrior. I make things like stir-fry, soup, pasta, deep-fried things and anything that doesn't involve baking. I really am not good at baking. I make things from scratch too.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Snare on 16 October 2008, 13:15:31 But...those are all so easy to do! ;_;
...I...I bake...The first thing I made was a Thai lemon pie...The crust had 8 table spoons of butter. It was good. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 16 October 2008, 15:10:01 I've baked cookies and cakes and pies and things before.
It's not really all that hard. Some pastries are tough, but I've never tried any (besides pie crust). Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ChaosVortex on 16 October 2008, 16:29:12 I can experiment with whatever I like and I can find.
I don't cook. I don't know what to make. I don't have any recipes. I tend to eat microwaved stuff anyway at home. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 16 October 2008, 16:32:01 I tend to eat microwaved stuff anyway at home. That's just a tad bit better than fast food. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 16 October 2008, 17:04:33 No, not really.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 16 October 2008, 17:46:18 Either way, they're both gross.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 16 October 2008, 18:00:04 I'd eat at Taco Bell any day of the week, but I have a very high tolerance for gross.
Typically I don't eat fast food though. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 16 October 2008, 18:03:26 Fast food is just the once in a rare blue moon thing for me. Although that new Shroom & Swiss burger at Burger King looks rather scrumptious any day of the week, I wouldn't plan on going there for anything else.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Fatso on 16 October 2008, 18:51:22 I'm not averse to eating at A&W (of course, that's partly because I worked there for a year and thus I've assembled a legion of 'orders that actually taste good'), but most other fast-food can go to hell.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 16 October 2008, 18:57:35 A&W Root Beer is the best kind.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Fatso on 16 October 2008, 19:02:02 No root beer is the best kind.
(actually I used to love root beer, this is from oversaturation arising from abuse of free drinks for employees.) Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 16 October 2008, 19:04:03 A&W is only good for its root beer floats.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 16 October 2008, 19:04:21 Root beer is the best kind of soft drink.
No arguments. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Fatso on 16 October 2008, 19:05:25 No argument from me, as much as I hate the stuff these days.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 16 October 2008, 19:42:50 Jambalaya w/ beer-battered bratwursts.
MMMM MMMM GOOD Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 16 October 2008, 20:21:35 A&W is only OK as far as root beers go.
I'd normally say Jones Soda makes the best, as they don't use any high fructose corn syrup, but then go outside of the US and that stuff is illegal anyway. IBC. IBC is the best root beer. And cream soda. End of discussion. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 16 October 2008, 20:43:51 IBC is fantastic.
And y'know what, you're right. It is the best. But A&W is cheaper and more accessible for me so it's better FOR NOW. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 16 October 2008, 20:45:09 There's no A&W here at all.
But Publix totally has IBC all the time. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 16 October 2008, 20:54:38 Cream soda makes me squeal like a little fangirl.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 16 October 2008, 22:33:10 Creamsicles are better.
Why does every thread eventually turn into a soft drink discussion? I make the most incredible Caesar (yeah that's right) nachos you've never heard of. I rarely make them anymore but I've always gotten rave reviews. Mmmmaybe... laaaater. But...those are all so easy to do! ;_; Half of them have half of the work just being boiling water. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Ikeoko on 17 October 2008, 13:48:26 I can make eggs...and this really really awesomely good Peanutbutter and Chocolate shake. But it's so thick that after one glass you're so full and you can't eat anything the rest of the night. It's amazingggg.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 17 October 2008, 16:57:48 Oh, I bet I could handle more than one glass.
Creamsicles are better. Creamsicles are good, but no substitute for Cream Soda, and vice-versa. It's like comparing apples with steak. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: von Teelio on 17 October 2008, 17:49:30 Apples and steak made me lol.
I'd prefer a morning breakfast consisting of country-fried steak, eggs over-easy, hash browns and country gravy. ~<3 Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Rama Olendris on 17 October 2008, 21:22:10 Orc-stew.
It's a recipe I created for a Halloween Dinner in high school. The reason why I named it Orc-stew was simply because it LOOKS awful but tastes like heaven. You need about 2 cans of chicken stock (I like low sodium). About 6 oz of angel-hair pasta. 1 can of whole olives (black) 6-8 whole ocra fruit (frozen is best for this) chicken meat of your choice, about a cup and a half. (for any soup, the thigh meat is the best) 1 cup of some other vegetable of your choice (I like mushrooms and broccoli, green onions are good too.) 3 cloves of garlic 1/2 cup of onion 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 1 tsp oyster oil 2 eggs. Cooking instructions. Chop the garlic and onion. Cut up the chicken. Take a pot, put it on the burner, add enough water so that it covers about an inch to an inch and a half of water all around. Make sure it's a pretty good sized pot. Add the garlic, onions and chicken meat. Simmer covered until chicken is done. Add soy sauce, chicken stock and oil. Add vegetables (olives and ocra too) You may also put in the pasta if you want. Cook/simmer until vegetables are tender and pasta is done. You may wait until the vegetables are tender before you add the pasta though. If you do, just cook until the pasta is done. Once the pasta is done, take the two eggs and beat them slightly in a dish before adding them SLOWLY while STIRRING. Once they are added, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for about 7-10 minutes. Enjoy. Once done it should look NASTY but it actually tastes really good and is really good for you. If you like spices, you may put in any of your choice. For example, I really like ginger and tarragon so I put in that sometimes. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 17 October 2008, 21:28:43 You gotta post pictures! I'm interested!
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 18 October 2008, 00:44:19 Perhaps you mean okra?
Sounds like a tasty chicken gumbo sort of recipe to me. I may have to try that out. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 18 October 2008, 02:29:17 Even if orcs were real I wouldn't eat them.
It's like comparing apples with steak. Wait. Is that a weird thing to do? Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 18 October 2008, 02:37:19 Not really.
I meant more like apples are fruit and steak is meat, but both are delicious. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 18 October 2008, 02:39:15 Still not following you, man.
(SO not serious right now.) Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 18 October 2008, 02:42:50 You'll have to excuse me if I reply to everything seriously right now.
I haven't had anything to do for a long time and I think it's starting to get to me. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Rama Olendris on 20 October 2008, 22:44:25 Perhaps you mean okra? Yeah v.v I mean okra. I misspell it every time without fail. I'll get some pictures when I make it next. And it is a little like a gumbo, but soupier. The whole point for this recipe was to make it LOOK bad and gross. And it does. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 21 October 2008, 03:46:06 It would've been cooler if you wrote "orca" because I imagine some people do eat whale.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Chron on 21 October 2008, 04:16:45 Careful, Mike.
That's a great way to summon giant cylindrical super-beings who only care about whales to the the planet. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 21 October 2008, 04:20:26 Pfft whatever, I'm better looking than them and thus ultimately their natural predator.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Rama Olendris on 21 October 2008, 15:38:35 It would've been cooler if you wrote "orca" because I imagine some people do eat whale. They do. I hear it's pretty tasty. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 21 October 2008, 23:13:14 But do they eat... KILLER whale?!
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 21 October 2008, 23:14:32 I'm sure some of the bunch that eat it think its pretty killer.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 21 October 2008, 23:15:53 All killer no filler, though.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 21 October 2008, 23:17:24 Well, its a big whale, I'm sure it fills them up pretty well..
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 21 October 2008, 23:28:34 Yeah. Like Chinese food maybe.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 21 October 2008, 23:57:54 This is currently the thread that least interests me.
I eat a lot of Cookie Crisp lately. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 22 October 2008, 00:05:55 I've never tried Cookie Crisp, not once. I want to.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 22 October 2008, 00:07:47 C'mander Crisp is the better Crisp.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 22 October 2008, 00:10:48 Definitely.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 22 October 2008, 00:15:50 Sugar Crisp would be up on the list if it were more crisp and less diabetes-in-every-spoon-full.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ChaosVortex on 22 October 2008, 00:26:35 I hate what they've done to Cookie Crisp.
Oh no. Not the cereal. I still eat it. They've assassinated a childhood mascot. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 22 October 2008, 00:29:06 THAT #####ING WOLF.
I SAW THAT COMMERCIAL AND CRIED. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 22 October 2008, 00:33:31 Yeah. OK, but can YOU see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 22 October 2008, 00:39:08 I watched my best friends die in a Viet-Cong prison camp.. so that you kids could eat that #####ing cereal..
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 22 October 2008, 00:43:45 Wrong #####ing answer. But when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to say!
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 22 October 2008, 00:53:49 I thought you'd get the Lego Robot reference, but I guess your not down anymore!
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 22 October 2008, 01:41:19 Yeah, those comics, har har. Still the wrong answer though and you don't seem to get my Patton reference!
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: preventerWIND on 22 October 2008, 01:49:27 Nope. Nothin'.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Speed Racer on 14 July 2009, 12:32:00 I love Taco Bell's new bacon cheesy potato burritos. I've had them two nights in a row. They're filled with beef, bacon, cheese, potatoes, sour cream, and EPIC WIN. Not to mention that for some reason, they're incredibly filling. I had two of them around midnight last night and it's currently 7:30 AM...I'm not even hungry.
http://www.tacobell.com/baconcheesypotatoburrito/ Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Majikn on 14 July 2009, 15:49:18 I wouldn't even expect to be hungry seven and a half hours after two burritos.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 14 July 2009, 16:08:35 HOW
MUCH? I want one... Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Speed Racer on 14 July 2009, 17:25:38 I wouldn't even expect to be hungry seven and a half hours after two burritos. It's twelve hours later and I'm still not hungry. And these are Taco Bell-sized burritos, mind you. If this was Panchero's-sized, then yeah, I'd totally agree with you. But they pack these mothers full of stuff. HOW It's like $3.50-ish per burrito. And it's a limited-time only thing, apparently. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Abominator on 14 July 2009, 17:25:57 That looks incredible.
We don't have Taco Bell. :'( :'( :'( Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 14 July 2009, 17:31:33 You'd probably be better off without them.
It's like eating creamed lard most of the time. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 14 July 2009, 19:57:34 Taco Bell is AWFUL. It's like a menu of things all made from the same 6 less than fresh ingredients. I'd rather not eat. Period.
And they have the nerve to put Taco Bell in the Cineplex Odeon movie theatres as if that's a good idea. But of course, what else is in those theatres? Other ##### restaurants like Burger King and New York Fries. Burger King is akin to bad music, it sucks and it sucks too loud. I can smell the Burger King nearest to my house from the road if my windows are down. That's crazy because it's not like BK has that distinctive a smell like McDonald's does. The only thing I've liked about Burger King in 20 years is the Sneak King. They seem to have decent fries now I guess but other places do the same style better. I realize some people like New York Fries but I have to disagree. I have to. The fries are beyond greasy and ONLY ever taste like potato skins, and the gravy is thick and dark like something unto human bile. Oh, and it doesn't exist in the States if any of you are confused. Yah, I know right. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ChaosVortex on 14 July 2009, 20:14:17 That looks good... but...
it's 680 calories............. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 14 July 2009, 20:14:32 EW.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 14 July 2009, 20:15:12 I like Burger King rodeo burgers and onion rings.
The only good things there. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 14 July 2009, 20:17:59 EW.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: MOX on 14 July 2009, 20:18:40 Taco Bell is good if you only want to put something in your stomach.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 14 July 2009, 20:28:18 So is a cinder block.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ChaosVortex on 14 July 2009, 20:30:18 I only go to BK for their $1 Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and $1 shakes. I'd rather purchase something from Taco Bell.
Anyway, I might try this thing once. But it's got over 2000 mg of sodium. I'll be avoiding it afterword just like how I avoided the Baconator. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 14 July 2009, 20:32:46 I got sick after half a baconator.
I even had them throw extra lettuce and tomato on it. Same with those cheddar mushroom bacon monstrosities from BK a few years ago. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Majikn on 15 July 2009, 01:52:46 I like potato skins and I like New York Fries. They possibly taste like skins because the skin isn't actually removed by the fry cutter. You just put a potato in and then WHAM IT and 12-or-something fries come out. And then they're just... held in this strange liquid for long periods of time, until they're fried for an order. It can taste really good depending on how it's made, and how good the potatoes were.
And my Cineplex doesn't have Burger King or Taco Bell, we just have Pizza Pizza, Yogen Früz, and New York Fries so I'm pretty happy with that. There's one thing I ate at Taco Bell that I thought was absolutely heavenly but I don't remember what it was. It was folded really weird. But for the most part yeah, they are pretty disgusting. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 15 July 2009, 02:18:06 Yeah, those things are good.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 15 July 2009, 02:55:36 I like potato skins when I ask for potato skins. I like some potato skins left on fries.
The different is that neither of these taste like RAW #####ING POTATO SKINS. That's what I find about NYF, it tastes like raw potato skins or dirt. But most often I can replace "or" with "and". Maybe that's what it was just like the first time I had NYF and I can't detach, though. Different Cineplex's have different stuff, it seems. The Coliseum in town has Yogen Früz, which is cool, but Silver City doesn't. I wish they had Pizza Pizza. That seems like it would be OK to eat in a theatre, but Taco Bell doesn't even make sense. Not that it's good food anyway. The Baconator was good the one time I had it but I see no reason to have another. I didn't think it was that big either. There's one thing I ate at Taco Bell that I thought was absolutely heavenly but I don't remember what it was. It was folded really weird. (http://farm1.static.flickr.com/35/111649393_518a9c605c.jpg)? The only Taco Bell I've actually wanted to try. KFC has something similar now. I had it. It sucked. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 15 July 2009, 03:00:25 Is Pizza Pizza just the Canadian Little Caesar's or something?
The only thing I ever get at Taco Bell is just a soft taco with meat and cheese. Nothing fancy. I'm a very plain eater. But I love those soft tacos. Mike's dead on about the menu, though. It's mainly a bunch of combinations of the same thing. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 15 July 2009, 03:03:08 Maine's theaters have a snack bar and that's it...
Options are candy, soda, or popcorn. The end. That's it. I always just grab some chips or something from a local convenience store beforehand and wear a backpack in. Either that, it have my girlfriend carry it in her bag. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 15 July 2009, 03:04:11 Is Pizza Pizza just the Canadian Little Caesar's or something? No, the Canadian Little Caesar's is Little Caesar's. Pizza Pizza is like... Low quality pizza for medium quality pricing. So, essentially Domino's. But the Canadian Domino's is Domino's. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Johncarllos on 15 July 2009, 03:04:37 How many ways can we mix lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, beans, tortillas, meat, and cheese?
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 15 July 2009, 03:04:44 Do you guys have a Canadian Hungry Howie's?
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 15 July 2009, 03:06:44 Cross over to Windsor and find out yourself, yah bum!
I just found out how easy it is! Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Majikn on 15 July 2009, 03:18:46 I like potato skins when I ask for potato skins. I like some potato skins left on fries. You know, now that I think about it, I actually only like the fries with melted cheese and gravy. I NEVER order just fries, I'm always drowning them in something. So you're probably right. There's one thing I ate at Taco Bell that I thought was absolutely heavenly but I don't remember what it was. It was folded really weird. Actually yes. That. Unless there's something else with that shape. (I cut the URL on purpose.) Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! GUYS! I #####ing made some food yesterday, this food was not regular, it was IRREGULAR! In the way that it kicked ass, indeed. I made some rice, threw some PARSLEY and ONION SOUP MIX in that bitch. Guess what? It turned out awesome Then I cooked some ground beef, I chucked it in a pan and you better believe that I spiced it up. Salt, pepper, chilli powder and some ONION SOUP MIX in that bitch. Know what else? There was some Montreal steak seasoning in there too. Word. That's not all! It wouldn't be complete with a kick in the dick by some grand, golden corn. I boiled it up with some salt, sugar and MAPLE SYRUP! No onion soup in this bitch though, quit your assumptions, asshole. This ##### turned out sweet as all hell. THEN I PUT THE CORN IN THE GROUND BEEF AND SHOOK IT ALL UP! Topped it on some RICE and gobbled that ##### up. Know what? I lost my virginity, it was so good it took my virginity. Try it if you have the time and the ingredients, and you actually want to take a chance and take my advice for once. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! I never use MSN. It just logs me on automatically when I boot up my computer. And then sometimes I get a message that says I've been "logged on in a different location". You can talk to me on MSN if I'm on, but I won't start talking to you. I prefer being on AIM anyway. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 3 September 2009, 21:03:08 AIM sucks. I mean, they both suck, but I like AIM less.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 3 September 2009, 22:33:41 I like AIM.
I'm a fan! Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 5 September 2009, 02:20:54 AIM never even blipped on my radar until you people, so it seems like it's more of an American thing to use.
People here use MSN primarily, and have since it first came out and booted ICQ to the curb, so I guess I'm just used to it. Really I don't like any of them but I hate the telephone so much more. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: ASR on 5 September 2009, 02:27:27 I don't think I've ever met someone in person that uses MSN. I mean, I probably have, but it has never come to my attention.
I use AIM because everyone I know uses AIM. If everyone I knew used MSN, I'd use MSN. It's not about the software, it's about the software everyone's using. I mean, maybe MSN is better, but then I'd only be able to talk to Canadians I guess? Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 5 September 2009, 02:46:11 The only real edge I think MSN has over AIM is that it's not based on a username, so you can change your display name whenever you want. In the hands of some people however, this is bad, so it evens out. Well actually, user images are 100x100 too, and I find it all around easier to use, but it's probably just 'cause I'm used to it.
Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 5 September 2009, 08:22:39 Yep, I've never used AIM until I came here.
Still don't use it all that often. And Mikero, you can change the person's name if you want now with the newest version of MSN. I find that it's quite a handy feature in removing extremely long names some people have. And constantly change. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Mikero on 5 September 2009, 08:25:24 I don't use the actual MSN client anyway, so I could've done that earlier. But since I overthink everything I've never bothered, I'd feel dickish like I'm removing their freedoms even though I'm not.

Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: Majikn on 23 September 2009, 01:32:58 That sandwich thing DOES look edible, but all the same... no.
I've actually been craving all kinds of random junky foods. Stuff like pizza pops. And waffles. And specifically that crunchwrap supreme I mentioned earlier from Taco Bell that I had years ago once. And a taco ITSELF, but not one from Taco Bell. Home made. And I could ALWAYS go for buffalo wings. The probable reason for this is there's so little I can eat right now in my condition. Ideally I should be sticking to fluids and stuff like jello but I'm not in the condition to go out and aquire said fluids. And I hate asking people to do stuff for me; I've done it way too much recently. So I've been consuming very little to avoid a negative reaction. But I should be better in a few days, so it may be that I'll grab one or two of these things in the near future. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!! Post by: AlexThePenguin on 21 December 2009, 16:28:12 I have made a very delicious soup.
It was SUPPOSED to be a beef/barley/vegetable soup, but we didn't have the barley, so I used up a rice-and-bean mix instead. To start with, I sauteed half an onion and two large stalks of celery in butter at the bottom of a large pot. Just when the onions got translucent, I added some lemon pepper and cumin, and a can of V8. I let that simmer for a little bit, then added three cups of water, and about a half pound of frozen ground beef. I let that cook until the beef was cooked through, adding dehydrated garlic pieces, parsley and something called "Italian essence," which had Rosemary, Basil, Oregano and I think it was thyme. I let that cook on medium for two hours, adding more spices as I went. When it got down to stock consistency, I added some baby carrots, lavender sea salt and more cumin, then I added another can of V8, filled it up the rest of the way with water, then added some garlic salt, and about a tablespoon of butter, chopped up. As it simmered down again (about two hours later), I started cooking the rice mix in a different pan. It was an instant mix, so I added half a can of V8 with a little extra water. As the rice was getting almost done, I tossed the whole shebang into the big pot, and stirred it up. I let it simmer for a while as I cooked a can of whole green beans and the other half of the onion from earlier, then added it when the onions were translucent. I added a little more cumin, some chili powder, and a little more garlic, filled it up with water, then let it simmer on low until everyone was home (about 30 minutes), and it was very delicious. Surprisingly, some tortilla chips added a wonderful flavour to the finished product as a garnish. Some notes: I wouldn't have even worried about the onions being translucent before adding them if I didn't have a roommate who has a bad reaction to undercooked onions. Also, I have no idea "how much" of anything I added. I went by how the flavour was growing as time went on, and by what we had on-hand. Title: Re: SHOW ME YOUR FOODS!!
