Hi again, I finally got my new PC but now they are gonna upgrade PHP again in early Feb so I might as well wait til that's done before I mess with anything.

I am not going to have a PC for the next couple of weeks but once I do I'll try and sort this mess.

Hi all, so sorry for all the downtime, I have been super depressed and not paying attention to anything.  I know this latest bout of downtime has probably killed the site for good but I still wish that one day I'll have it in me to properly resurrect everything.

This is a theme I made back when I intended to have multiple different themes available years ago.  I'll try to get the old "MMMv7" theme back in effect sometime too.  Not any time soon though.

Well, some of the worst downtime ever just happened, PHP got upgraded on the server and wrecked the ancient MBoard, so I've been forced into updating the forum software, which has wrecked the MMM theme!

I will try to put things back the way they were as soon as possible.

Well I finished Super Metroid, which was good but not nearly as good as people make it out to be, then today I played through Streets of Rage 1, and I will soon start Black Mesa on PC.

...how are you JUST now playing Super Metroid for the first time?  Well, enjoy it, because they never made one as good as that again.  Zero Mission was an ok remake of 1 in SM style, but lack of buttons on GBA hurt it.  AM2R is the best SM style remake of Metroid 2, I highly recommend it.

I on the other hand just got my hands on La-Mulana 1 and 2 for Switch, and I love it.  The remake of 1 gives you the option for the infinitely superior chiptune soundtrack over the remake remixes of them.  The Vita port didn't let you do that.  Also playing through Blasphemous on Switch.

I tried to play Super Metroid a couple of times before but I always got lost early!  I am close to Ridley now.  I've only ever played Zero Mission right through.

I played some La Mulana years ago, very good.

I think they are scheduled for about the 20th of April.

I think I played Star Force 1 one time and was appalled at the dialog quality.  Shame because BN had been so good.

Haha, I actually did pick one of those up cheap due to a pricing error and it's surprisingly decent (aside from the horrible UI but PS4 is in the same boat)

I finally got this on the Black Friday sale, 60gig for a 1 on 1 fighter!

In my day we didn't even know what a gigabyte was.

I still say X6 is worse than X7 but it's pretty damn close.

Looks like in house Capcom.  Top dude made Ghouls and Ghosts and the Mickey Mouse Magical Quest games back in the SNES days, and lots of other MegaMan alums are involved.

You guys are right about the animations as well, almost reminds me of the Network Transmission running and jumping!  (ick!)

Looks really nice, I was all set up to be super disappointed but the art style is decent and the devs have good pedigree so I'm looking forward to it.  Shame it's still a year away!
