...Awesome.
We should talk about that movie instead.

Ouch.

I'm surprised that people are examining shots with this much precision....

Let me stop you there.

I have been stopped.
3  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 29 November 2008, 09:37:58
Uh... Daftman?
Can you please tell me what the hell is goin' on with Roll's face in the "You're special!" scene?
How did you let that slip by?

Ha, I was unaware I let anything slip by! :P

I don't see anything wrong and if there was anything iffy, it would have to do with the timing of the shot selection more than anything else.  You can take the most beautiful actress in the world, take a shot  of them from a specific film scene they are doing and at least once, there face will look iffy in delivery of dialogue (although I don't see it here).

Honestly, I believe within the context of the film, more people will be very accepting of Roll.  I'm surprised that people are examining shots with this much precision....

Roll is very bubbly, cheerful, and expressive.  This in live action was already difficult to pull off but I'm happy with the results of the actress.  Here's hoping others are as well!

Man, video game fan films are tough business I must say!

I knew getting into this that there would be both support and disappointment one way or another so I ain't bothered.   You have to take criticism like a man so it's not that the comments bother me, it's that I find it interesting the dynamic of some forums.  You get a better understanding of the fan base both good and bad and what works for some and what doesn't work for others.   Watch what I've released, judge for yourself, and be honest.
5  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 28 November 2008, 06:56:24
Yikes....man, this is interesting.  You go to some boards that are completely behind the film and to some boards that are completely against it.    I guess MM Matrix doesn't dig it....damn....

In many interviews, I've stated every major boss will be in the film and it will be logically incorporated into the plot.  When I say every major boss from Megaman 1, I mean it.... :)

For those that want to read more about the in-depth process of the making of this film, the official blog is located over here:

http://megaman.ningin.com/

An informative read for anyone who gives a damn about this wacky film :P

I also recommend throwing questions my way.  I will answer pretty much anything.  The only spoilers I won't reveal are those that pertain to very specific plot details that I think are worth hiding.  Anything that was already in the first game's plot is already common knowledge!

I don't know if there's a different reason that I'd find acceptable.

You ain't the only one to think that...
8  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 26 May 2008, 05:17:37
Roll has worn many costumes and clothes. I don't believe jeans were ever one of them.

Her normal dress would look pretty dumb, though.

I'm trying to figure out if the White man Dr. Light designed his household robots to be asians because he's into that or if it just happened that way for no reason...

Haha, the reason Rock and Roll are Asian is addressed in the film...and no, it's not a fetish!
9  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 25 May 2008, 18:25:57
Last time I checked, fighting was his job, cleaning and serving delicious orange drinks was her job.

Fighting wasn't his job until the time came for the upgrade.  Of course she cleans and makes delicious treats for Light and Rock but when that ##### hits the fan, her main focus when Megaman is fighting his battles is gathering those damn energy canteens for when he teleports back and giving him a well deserved pat on the back!
10  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 25 May 2008, 18:01:55
Roll's housekeeping is lax.

I don't think Roll would keep the lab or the house when the world is in utter peril and Megaman is fighting menacing robot masters...otherwise she'd be heartless :).

Roll has worn many costumes and clothes. I don't believe jeans were ever one of them.

Nothing much else to say. Mega Man looks nice.

It's just a pair of pants, don't fret!

I wanted Roll to be an adorable cutie pie.  "Hot" and Roll just shouldn't go hand and hand....otherwise, I would have put the actress in tight red leather...

But here's another hot photo of Cutman.

13  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 21 May 2008, 00:56:35
She's a news reporter.  She gots to be enthusiastic for the news camera!
14  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 May 2008, 02:04:22
Actually, y'know what, screw that. It's time for... ASR'S INTERVIEW-O-RAMA!!!

1) How many times a day did you swear on set, average?

2) Did you ever hook up with Dr. Wily off-set?

3) What is your stance on the spelling/formatting of MegaMan/Mega Man/Megaman?

4) Is Dr. Wily single?

5) What sort of factors went into deciding which Robot Masters would be presented in CGI rather than by actors?

6) What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

7) What's your favorite MegaMan game?

8) What's your favorite movie?

9) How can you tell if a Smurf is choking?

10) Which MegaMan spin-off series (any after Classic) has been the most disappointing to you?

11) Would you ever consider giving me Dr. Wily's number?

12) Do you have any finished samples of the film's musical score for us to hear?

13) How faithful is the musical score to the game's actual soundtrack, and if it is very faithful, are you limiting yourself to only the first game, or are you using music from later ones, like the MM2 Title Screen or MM2 Dr. Wily Stage 1?

14) Sex now?

15) Isn't it funny how question 8 is ProtoMan?

Please respond. Very urgent. Answer all seriously.

1.)  20....or more.

2.)  Dr. Wily is out of my league.

3.)  Megaman....It just seems...RIGHT.

4.)  Can't say.  Wily is a damn playa.

5.)  The decision was based on physical capablities and there original designs.  Cutman, Gutsman, and Bombman were the most abstract and were physical impossible to be potrayed by actors and if they were, they would look RIDICULOUS.   Elecman, Iceman, and Fireman have a more humanoid appearance so they would be able to hold up as live action actors and still look appearance.

6.)  Strawberry....yessssssss.

7.)  I use to not have a favorite but over time, Megaman 2's greatness grew on me.

8.)  Blade Runner, baby!

9.)  ....that's deep!

10.)  .exe /NT Warriors.  It's just too....different from the times of the original heroic Megaman or the bad ass Megaman X.

11.)  Well....how much you willing to pay?

12.)  Scoring won't begin until July so you'll have to wait!

13.)  Very faithful.  I'm combining music from primarly Megaman 2 with some themes from Megaman 1.   Megaman 2 is the definitive Megaman score to me.  The Megaman 2 title theme, Wily's Stage 1 theme, and the end credits theme will especially be adapted for the film

14.)  Call me next week, I'm sexed out at the moment.

15.)   8)

15  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 May 2008, 01:35:17
All over NYC and upstate New York mostly.  I did everything in my power to give the film a visually grand scale and NYC is just an AMAZING location in itself.  Helicopter shooting in three weeks of NYC ;D.
16  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 May 2008, 01:25:10
It will be available in mutliple formats and sizes so it should if the needs of everyone.

Ahhh Time Square...memories.  I remember shooting the Protoman introduction there.  So empowering!
17  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 May 2008, 00:58:37
No...

Light seems to be up his own ass (which is completely out of character), Wily is like a generic Saturday morning cartoon baddie, Roll looks like she's either had too much or too little of her medication.

They all look like they could use a good night's sleep, too.

I'd like to be more enthusiastic, but I just don't know why so much effort is going into something with apparently no quality control.
It seems to me that something which could have been amusing in an eyebrow raising, sigh-inducing way (whether deliberately or otherwise) just seems like it'll turn out to have been an enormous waste of time.

However, I'm sure that in this age where any video placed online is instantly declared the greatest, most hilarious thing ever, that this will be equally well received.

Hey, if you laugh at the film, your still enjoying it's crappiness!  ;D.  Ah, I kid.

Watching the film as a whole, Dr. Light is an extremely kind hearted, selfless person, the way he was meant to be depicted.  In that particular scene, he's oozing with pride for his work so out of context, the scene may have a different meaning depending on the viewer.  I tried to have each character depicted the way the average Megaman fans would want them to.  Being a fan myself, I wouldn't have it any other way!

The fact of the matter is this.  Everyone involved in this film and myself are putting in the effort, time, and money.   We are doing this because of our love of film making, acting, effects, and especially Megaman.  We want to make the best film we humanly can.  No need to worry about if this is a wasted effort since one way or another,  I will have the personal satisfaction of completing such a project and if even only ONE Megaman fan liked the film, my effort didn't go wasted.  Effort is never wasted when is for a passion.  Plus, you don't have to pay to get this made or to see this!  Hell, it's a given that some people won't support or watch the film one way or another.  In all honesty, I appreciate when people give me a reason WHY they don't like or support this film rather then just proclaiming they hate it or why they wish I was dead :P.  Anyone with a hint of an intelligence will actually have a reason to hate this film.  Abominator, I thank you for actually stating an opinion on why you aren't looking forward to this film.  That's character.

Also, You honestly think Hollywood would do ANY better making a MM film :'(?  At least for this film, you save your ticket money to go see Iron Man 2!

Just a note:

Within the next 24 hours, I will be releasing the first official clip from the film. Hope all here enjoy!

Oh, and here's Cutman:

20  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 5 May 2008, 20:16:51
The clip may be off Youtube...but it's out there in the vast space of the internet!  I have a feeling it may be leaked again.....
21  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 4 May 2008, 03:54:22
As for whether it was a crew member or not, It was but he didn't not about the policy to not allow scenes online...but considering no footage has been made publicly available since shooting started in Feb., I will keep it up for 24 hours before taking it down.  If no one finds it, I'll put it up an hour before we take it down....

Edit:  Wow, you found it!

22  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 4 May 2008, 03:23:08
It's worth noting someone on the film crew has leaked fight scenes from the film on YouTube...but I won't have him take it down for a few days so here's your chance to see footage before the trailer.  I ain't gonna provide the link so you will have to look yourself  :).

Ill talk to my CG team and see if they are ready to show Cutman to the public.

As for this said "raptor", a test shot was done in which a render of Cutman was placed against a background.  The background being from a film in which a CG raptor was in it.  Sorry but no raptors will be seen in Megaman :(
26  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 27 February 2008, 22:16:25
Regardless of criticism, I must say you do have my interest so far.

I'm glad!

I knew criticism would be part of the territory when I decided to do this film so I don't mind it.  All I can do is try to minimize certain concerns fans would have.

Example:  I MUCH rather have fans criticizing the look of the blonde hair than deal with the hatred I would have gathered for her NOT having blonde hair.  I only went through this since everyone attached to the project believed Jeanie Tse (actress playing Roll) was worth it and she has definitely proved she was best suited for Roll!
27  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 27 February 2008, 22:06:34
So far I only really have doubts about the acting and plot, though Wily does look good in those shots. As for Roll, she's a robot. Here's an idea, maybe the wig looks artificial because her hair is artificial.

The acting will be very surprising, I can assure you!  The plot is pretty much ripped from the first game but many differences are due to me developing the characters properly.

As for the hair, that artificial nod was actually added to the script already so no worries.

 :)
29  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 February 2008, 00:52:01
Well now, that doesn't sound too bad then.

If the movie is going to be on the order of "Return of the Ghostbusters" good, then that's great.

Roll is cute <3

Oddly enough, the VFX team on that film (ROTGB) is working on MM.  They were very anxious to work with me after seeing my earlier works so I'm glad about that!  Plus, I know Hank braxtan and even had a cameo in said film.

In the eyes of the viewer, good or bad, I have a feeling everyone will have something to enjoy in the film and if not, at least you didn't pay $9 bucks to see it!
30  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 February 2008, 00:47:17
Responses to actual clips from the film have been extremely well received and deemed as faithful as a film adaptation can be as well as the casting so as each day goes on, I feel more and more confident I'm headed in the right direction  :)

31  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 20 February 2008, 00:43:52
I think the heat I get for having Proto is the film is better than the heat I would have gotten for NOT having him in there.  It's justified as to why he's in the film and what his purpose to the story isso I feel other fans will feel comforting but I'm willing to answer questions regarding it.  Plus, I highly doubt I'm making a sequel so presenting Proto the way he should be is something I needed to do now.  The old MM trailer got him all wrong so I HAD to fix it.
32  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 19 February 2008, 19:46:08

I always wanted to have a real brother relationship with you!

I don't know if my body can take it.

I don't about your body, but I hope MY body can take it...
37  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Casting call for MegaMan: The Movie on: 10 January 2008, 08:17:01
I mean, yeah, I'm expecting 100% crap from this MegaMan film, but it might be tolerable 100% crap.

Tolerable is good enough for me!  Huzaah!

Yeah right people! I actually took Drama class 2 years in a row! I'd smoke you all. I could be bomb man no problem, I'm tubby, short, and I like to shout BOMBS!

Please. I took drama for quite a few years too, and I'm pretty good when everyone else is also trying (this is reference to the movie we made last semester when I stopped caring because no one else was committed). But anyway I don't think I'd audition for this even if it was next door. I doesn't sound good.

It only sounds like he knows what he's doing because he SAID he does.

I just said whatever was in my heart.   Didn't mean to come off wrong in the interview if i did.  It was 3AM in the morning and I was pretty hungry!

As for the cartoon, they totally dropped the ball with many characters, including Protoman.      As a fan, no way in hell would I allow this Eddie Lebron to make Proto like that!  If I every see him, I'll kick his...oh wait.
