I'm living my childhood dream, in a manner of speaking.
I'm a preschool teacher, right now I work with tots around 2 years old. I'm on a very reduced schedule because of disabilities, but my boss is amazing and makes sure I have a schedule and tasks I'm comfortable in. I can safely present as nonbinary both in my personal life and at work, which feels good, too.
Coming to terms with the actual scope of my disabilities has been a very interesting road, but my ability to advocate and fill out legal documents is unparalleled now, lol. Most of them are familiar, but these last four years have been a doozy when it comes to medical things, especially when basically long covid limited my ability to eat a giant swath of food. That aspect is getting better, at least, and the other components are being discovered and addressed, even the ones that were secretly there my whole life.
I've got an amazing partner, who has been absolutely wonderful through all of the last four years of discovery.
Ghostkiddo is on the brink of teenhood now, and it's been so weird adjusting to any of that. They aspire to join me in working at the center I work at in a couple of years. My family keeps telling me it's fun to see me raising a child who is essentially my clone in personality, and I have feelings about that.
I guess that's really all of it. Life is simultaneously simple and complex, as always, but I'm enjoying it for the most part in spite of everything

It's definitely been an eventful year this year, hoo boy
For those who don't know, I'm now waiting on the results of my disability hearing back in November. I'm really hoping it pans out because the way things are now is very unsustainable 🙃

If it weren't for this place, I wouldn't have my daughter or my husband. I also have many friends that I communicate more openly and frequently with than some of my family members, and a strong sense of internet ettiquette. On top of it all, I was actually introduced to MegaMan because of this place after being brought here by a friend.
I love that I can still come on here, even if it's not especially active. It's kind of like an old playground where you can come and sit on the squeaky swing and think, with the added benefit of there being someone else here sometimes.
Sometimes.

Busy, busy week!
Ray's family have been in town. I'm getting on with them fine, but the day after they arrived, we got a (complex-wide) notice that our landlord's bosses want to do an inspection on Thursday, and that they were doing a pre-inspection today.
So, on top of Lizzie's second birthday on Saturday, Father's Day yesterday (we were on a boat, mother#####ers!), and a constant set of visitors, my house has had to remain fairly close to pristine.
Daunting. That's the word. Still working on last-minute things for the real inspection on Thursday.

Gotta love when the clinics that ARE open weekend days don't take your particular brand of medical insurance. (In fact, she said they had an agreement with the provider to not take their clients. That confused me.) I hate the ER.
Mastitis is annoying, especially when a baby is punching it. Fortunately, it's early enough not to need antibiotics, and we're seeing where it goes from here.
Short story: Ow.

JC, your post is deemed perfectly relevant, but please don't bring it up again. I... tried watching it. It didn't do anything for me. I thought I'd like it because I LOVED the Powerpuff Girls. People tried to win me over with the PPG arguement. No dice here, either. I just really can't grasp the mania. I mean, sure, it's not horrible, and even entertaining at times, but it's not as great as people are making it out to be, in my opinion.

The leading Humvee with tinted windows turned right, off the main road, followed by four Army trucks. The first comma is unnecessary. As far as other edits, they'd be total nitpicks (I don't quite like how you started the sentence, but it works).
Actually, the comma works better there, as otherwise it's "right off the main road" as in "directly off the main road" rather than the directional right. >_>

Though I admit that there are some pretty decent aspects of the new show, I don't understand the apparent craze.
Nostalgia? Not for me; I only played with the toys.
In the sense of personal enjoyment, I'm not a big fan. However, if this is something Lizzie watches as she gets older, I think I could tolerate it.

Friday was 2 months since Ray and I got married. This is my last week of work for a good four months. Next month brings something brand new.
I'm not sure whether I'm actually calm about all this, or just in such a state of panic that I don't know any better.

Lizzie is growing and stretching, and I actually look pregnant now. Also, Elizabeth was my grandmother's middle name, and Ann is my aunt's middle name, so it's a nice family name. :3 Posted on: 05-03-2011, 17:57:06
Well, next month is fast approaching, and with it, the impending grand entrance of Lizzie. andhopefullythegranddeparture ofmydiabetesbutwhatever What I'm looking forward to: Having a baby I can actually hold in my arms and touch and adore face-to-face. Also, not being headbutted in the stomach for hours on end. What I'm not looking forward to: Midnight diaper changes and waking up at all hours. Also, birth. Looking and feeling like I'm in my eighth month of pregnancy isn't exactly a cup of tea. On the plus side, telling someone you feel about eight months pregnant gets the point across well enough, even if they don't know the details.

I think I've sufficiently explained my excuses for not being on as much in other threads. >_>
June approaches swiftly, and nobody knows what new joys Lizzie will bring with her.
I might be on a bit more after next week, though, as that's my last week of work. That "might", of course, still being a very key operative...

I've talked with them for years, but never met them face-to-face. Posted on: 10-03-2011, 14:48:57
Hours away from the wedding. I don't feel nervous, but definitely restless. It'll be a great wedding. Eclectic mix of guests, and a ring ceremony and handfasting in one. Lots of good food. Lots of good people. Should be good fun. When I next report back, I will be Mrs. Wilfong.
