I think Majikn has a point. No one tests these things twenty years before they come out and how normal kids/gamers use them. While the warning always say only play for X amount of time, hardly anyone does that. It will be interesting to see any side effects to the 3d. Heck no one expected the Wii to break tvs, but low and behold sweaty hands = tossed wiimotes! Yay for wrist straps!
I mean, everything new has some effect on some number of the population for whatever reason. How many of us will/do have painful wrists/thumbs from playing too long despite the 'warning' they give? I know I do. Kids will be kids, and there is an unanswered question of long term use. Cause it is rather new technology to be used for the first time on a large scale as a handheld.
I'm just glad the 3d can be turned off, to be honest. It seems nifty but personally I don't have any interest in it being a part of all my games all the time. Like the reason I was iffy about the wii was motion control seemed to be 'what every game would use'. Boy am I glad most of them actually can use the old GC controllers. I am interested in the games and the handheld itself, just not all the 3d stuff. The only games I know we'll get is Legends 3, but there are a whole heck of a lot more games to be out in the future I'm sure.

Today is only halfway through and it suuucks. Aresian has the flu, I feel like I'm having a damn gall bladder attack again, though it is getting better, and I had like three hours of sleep. :'( Now when I try to nap I feel like I'm going to throw up so I'm lurking around looking for something to do till my nerves settle.
Also worried games with too much action going on (Oblivion or any platformers) might make me motion sick. I should cuddle up with a good RPG maybe...

I once again love Oblivion... After all this time I started the Shivering Isle expansion and it is wonderful, (though I like a bit of insanity). I guess it didn't really add that much to the game, but it seems to. I like the atmosphere, the personalities of npcs, and of course Sheogorath. It makes me a bit more hopeful for Skyrim.
At the same time they do something right, I still have to get a mod to make a cool companion you can obtain not super die all the time. I guess you can only expect so much from those guys...

>_> Mmhmm. Anyways.
Played it. Hated the gameplay, but then I suck a platforming in general so I can't assume it is only because it was the game's fault. (I've been stalking the forum and seen bits about the Zero series being unforgiving.)
Currently thinking I'll see about either getting cheats, getting another game from that series or another, or watching some let's plays, since I am still interested in learning more about the Megaman story even if I suck at the games.

Changing the leveling in Oblivion is something I don't even think about, I just always get the mod. I forget which mod I liked, I know there is an exp one I never tried that Nehrim uses. I think the one I use is Kobus Character Advancement System.
Oh Ares and I joke that Bethesda doesn't make games, they make engines. That's why I'll never get a console version. Who will fix all the stuff they messed up? The mod community is awesome, though I was sad the lack of good companion mods in Oblivion verses how many there were for Morrowind. I assume the voice acting made them less interested.
Also, used to play RO with Ares. I only have a laptop with a touch pad and I found control... Awkward.

I play lots of different games, currently...
The Sims (the first one), Samurai Warriors 3 for the Wii (love co-op with Ares), Scribblenauts, Megaman Zero, Oblivion (and the spawn game Nehrim), Chrono Trigger, Spore, Pokemon HeartGold, Okami (love that game), and Animal Crossing Wild World.
Go between them often, got most time logged in Oblivion and Okami. Chrono Trigger was my first video game ever, and I don't think I will ever stop playing it for good. Currently own it for every platform it was ever out for.
Ares and I beat Fallout New Vegas not long after it came out, was rather disappointed. I don't know why I didn't expect it since Obsidian Entertainment/Bethesda Softworks games I have played have all been filled with crashes and glitches that needed the moding community to fix.
Oh, but I rant. I might try it again once the modding community has somethings that interest me. Dunno, though, with Skyrim in the future I might just wait...I should start replaying Morrowind now that we have a better screen situation. Oblivion spoils me with the voice acting, so I don't have to read anything. Nehrim is cool, though, since ALL the voice acting is in German. Very immersive.

Hm, thanks for the tips guys, I'll get Aresian on some other games.
Played a little MMZ, I find it difficult to say the least. (Ares had to defeat the first boss for me after I died twice in the for level, owch) I played a little Megaman Powered Up before, actually I grew to enjoy the level editor more than anything.
Oh, also, thanks for the welcome!

Hello, MMM. I am Alekta, Aresian 's fiancé. I personally did not play Megaman (besides trying out the original series once a long time ago) pre-Aresian, but the game and the community have both been a part of his life, and I am interested in trying it out. Currently he suggests I try Megaman Zero first, (as he knows my gaming style and thinks it might appeal to me more to start off with), and I will play it when he gives me the GBA. Anyway, I thought I would join up here and learn more about Megaman games from people who play them and to stalk Aresian's posts since he decided to return here.
