It's happening for me on all the forums. There's no division line between them.

Was curious if this was happening to anyone else.

It just sounds like her browser is glitching the tables a little, but I have no idea why it would ever happen more than once, unless the program is bugged or needs an update or something.

If you're using Firefox, you might be zoomed out too far or something.

Actually, I think that's it, but if I zoom out it happens with 1 and 2, and 6-7, 11-12

I've just never seen the appeal of Firefox. Internet Explorer does EVERYTHING I need it to do. I dunno'. I think it literally comes down to the fact that I like the way IE handles downloads more.

It also downloads stuff without your permission. And without telling you.

What way it handles downloads? It doesn't really 'handle' downloads at all, there's no way to resume an interrupted download without a DL manager, if you go on a mass parallel-downloading spree you'll get like 15 windows open...

Like I said, preference.

Call me old-fashioned. Firefox just bugs me. I hate the download manager to the core.

I liked Camino better than Firefox, actually. But Camino started crashing a lot so I changed over.

... you realize you can change settings in the options menu until it behaves almost exactly like IE, right?
I mean you have to turn off literally every bit of useful functionality, but then that's what IE is anyway.

I have a similar silly issue with Opera, though. Not a fan of the speed dial function.
I have been meaning to try Chrome and look up some other OS browsers just to be different, but I have so many scripts and custom styles loaded on to Firefox that it would be too much trouble.

Main issue is actually making the conversion. Though part of me feels like Firefox is slower, and I don't know if that's in my head, but I don't want all the extra features if I'm not necessarily going to use them and it slows me down.

Also, I have good internet security so on the off chance that I'm stupid enough to click something that will try and download something to my computer, it gets blocked, so I have that going for me at least.

That being said, I know I SHOULD give it another try, I just lack the motivation to try something new in most instances.

I find it incredibly slow to start up when compared to IE, but once it gets going it's faster.

But then really need to defrag my HDD.

Yeah, that's another thing. When I click IE, it opens immediately. When I click Firefox, it takes just long enough to bug me.

And yeah, I get it, it's more customizable and user-friendly - I just don't NEED any of that. Or want it, really.

It's the other way around with me, IE takes a lot to open, and Firefox takes a little while..

Same, but I turned off all superfetching in Vista, so programs only load when I tell them to, and my computer doesn't preload photoshop every time I download a picture.

I like the idea of superfetch, but I hate it's implementations.

It's doomed to fail since it's based on an algorithm that's intended for processor time sharing, not user activity.

There really isn't any difference I've noticed between the two that isn't superficial.
You can make them do exactly the same thing; one is marginally faster than the other (Opera) but the amount is completely insignificant.

NO! Bad Chron! That's EXACTLY why I didn't make that joke in the other thread! Bad!

I hate that "half-life" automatically registers as a video game and not a science/math term to people now. It makes me sad.
