Hi all,

It's been a while since I've posted here, mainly due to moving, getting a new job, and starting up my MBA. Woo hoo. Anywho, a buddy of mine is friends with another person who is able to get us points cards for free. I'm not going into details, but we're not talking "five-finger discount".

ANYWAY, I'm looking to get some new XBLA games with these points which I'm about to receive, but I don't really know what to get.

I already plan on getting Mega Man 9 with the points, so don't suggest that. I'm also going to be picking up the GTA add-ons and the two Watchmen games when they appear on physical disc, so don't bother suggesting them either.

This is what I already have:
Aegis Wing
Alien Hominid
Arkadian Warriors
Assault Heroes
Banjo-Kazooie
Battlestar Galactica
Bejeweled 2
Bionic Commando Rearmed
Boom Boom Rocket
Brain Challenge
Carcassonne
Catan
Cloning Clyde
Dig Dug
Doom
Doritos' Dash of Destruction
Fable II - Pub Games
Feeding Frenzy
Galaga
Galaga Legions
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
Hardwood Backgammon
Hasbro Family Game Night - Battleship
Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank
Hexic HD
Luxor 2
Marathon: Durandal
Marble Blast Ultra
Mr. Driller Online
Ms. Pac-Man
New Rally X
Outpost Kaloki X
Pac-Man
Pac-Man: Championship Edition
Rez HD
Samurai Shodown II
Small Arms
Soul Calibur
Streets of Rage II
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Texas Hold'em
Time Pilot
Totemball
Undertow
Uno
Virtual On: Oratorio Tengram
Wik: Fable of Souls
Wing Commander Arena
Xevious
Yaris

So, any suggestions?

IIRC Ikaruga is on XBLA, so I'd suggest picking that up if you like shmups that fill the screen with bullets

Is that the one where you have to flip your ship to kill different colors enemies? I've played the demo before; it seemed pretty insane but I wasn't sure if I liked it.

...Banjo-Tooie?

I'm really considering that one; it seems like a no-brainer since I already have Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Which totally reminds me that I haven't touched the 360 in a few weeks now. I need to finish Tooie. I was curious as to what the Stop N' Swop stuff they added was, but I totally forgot I had downloaded it.

I should finish Nuts & Bolts.

And Banjo-Kazooie, but it's at the point in the game where I always got a bit bleh on it (Gobi's Desert).

For a second I though guys were talking about Ikachan.

My bleh part of Banjo-Kazooie was always Click Clock Woods, which is right at the end anyway. That level is just so looooong and repetitive. But still cool.

I loooooved Gobi's Desert, especially since I spent hours as a kid trying to get in that one door since I had no idea what was behind there.

That's exactly the game I was talking about, and yeah it's not for everyone. If I had a 360 I personally would pick it up without a second thought though.

What IS Castle Crashers anyway? I keep hearing people say it's great without actually saying anything about it.

It's like how I often have to be reminded what Kim Kardashian actually does. (Which I'm pretty sure is nothing.)

It's a classic brawler with RPG elements.

You play a knight (or knights with friends) and try to save princesses.

I've been playing The Maw, even though no one had suggested it (I had the demo sitting on my HD, and I decided to finally play it). Pretty good game; little kids will certainly love the hell out of it.

I should be getting the first of many points cards today, so we'll see what I get from the many suggestions.

That Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix thing is going to be on sale next week for 800 MS points. Just thought you all should know.

How about Metal Slug 3? Its a shooter with big funny looking robot bosses at the end of each level.

How many Microsoft Points is it?

I'm almost certain I have some left over from when I bought Banjo-Tooie. I think I had like 800 on there before I bought the 1600 points for BT, which would mean I had 2400 then... was BT 1200? Because that would mean I have 1200 left.

I hope? I don't know. I'll check.

My friends hate the types of games I play, especially something that looks cartoony.

So they'll probably never play it with me.

My friends have horrible taste in videogames. And it's not just the usual Halo deal - one of them plays Yu-Gi-Oh games. Sorry, Chaos.

I told people I didn't enjoy Bioshock.
I tried to come up with a nice way to relate it something but nothing was perfect.

like: By their reaction you'd have thought I'd told a bunch of X that I didn't like Y.

Couldn't find a good X and Y.

anyways, they were shocked and confused.

I didn't think it would be for me either, but I was renting games and heard it was relatively short if I breezed through it.

It was.

I looked at it and decided "I've played this game before."

And I have. From what I've seen it's just System Shock underwater, and those games never quite appealed to me enough to get me really into them.

I played one on the GBA (Eternal something) and it was fun despite the computers always cheating. The rest of the games I saw looked exactly the same except with more cards apparently...

And that's why I got sick of playing Yu-Gi-Oh games. I once played a game sooo much, that I already knew half the time what that card the computer set down. I found that sad after I realized that.

Hush you.

I only remotely enjoy the ones that are based off of the official rules, because anything else just tends to be boring or a failed experiment.

I do not understand the reviews for YGO Forbidden Memories. The game felt so restricted, it was more frustrating than anything, yet it's considered "good" or "decent" (I forget which one).

Go play some Eternal Duelist Soul.

Forbidden Memories was #####ing retarded. Your opponents had ridiculously broken monsters and for you to have any you'd have to fuse them and they STILL wouldn't be as powerful.

But... it was alright before all that bull#####. There was one for the GameCube that I actually really liked... but after doing everything in it, it's boring now, even if I started from the beginning.

I think I played one for the PSP a few years ago... and it was crap. It played like the actual games... except at some points you were forced to have a tag-team partner... and they ALWAYS sucked, they'd be the reason you would lose.

... but enough about Yu-Gi-Oh, I think that crappy PSP game was the last time I ever did anything related to it, and it was probably over 2 years ago.

If you want really cheap CPUs, I think in World Championship 2004, the Rare Hunter in the game runs 3 sets of Exodia. About every CPU in that game ignores the limited list.

If you have three sets of Exodia you're probably likely to get useless doubles rather than the full five. So I'm not sure that's necessarily a challenge.

Right, but the flaw of an Exodia strategy is, if the pieces are broken up, you can't win. If you have doubles in hand or in your deck, then the loss of a single piece isn't as vital.
