This entire topic was started by me because I wanted to post this amazing tune, in case anybody hasn't heard it. But if you have heard it IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME YOU LISTEN TO THIS AMAZING ##### AGAIN.

True, but for some reason, I can't stand listening to them on iTunes for whatever reason. It's a tragedy.

I tend to go see good movies on dates (well not always), since I can't stand most "date" movies. So it's really annoying when that ##### happens.

But maybe it's something weird where it loads both separately because it's being slow. I don't know, this is the first I've noticed it and it didn't do it before (or right now).

I normally hate "extended versions" of old classics by people who aren't the original creators, but the Spark Mandrill theme in particular is pretty close to what I would like in a video game song remix. I like the blend of old and new, and traditional songs have an ending whereas most SNES songs just go on as long as you're willing to listen, which isn't always ideal depending on what you want in a playlist.

Generally remixes that go off the rails on arrangement and additions to the point where the original tune is hard to recognize are awful in my opinion.  Even changing the tempo and pace too much can ruin it.  That's especially true even in official remixes, like in Maverick Hunter X on PSP.  They absolutely butchered most of the tracks in that game.

I've listened through a few of these, and they're the best 'gentle' MMX remixes I've heard in a long while. It's a little jarring when the 16 bit sound mixes with modern sounds, but I can still jam.

I can understand that, yeah.

I do feel like the tracks would be better if they stuck to 16 bit soundfonts.

I'm not confident to say I'd always be to tell by ear which soundfonts are 16 bit or not, to be fair, but there are a few soundfonts in there that don't feel like they fit.

But I like the songs regardless.
