So my birthday was pretty crappy.
Nothing happened.
I got a few early gifts and it all amounted to

20$ gift certificate
300$ that all went towards books.

I seem to have been getting gift cards a lot for my birthdays. That's okay. It just takes me forever to use them. Don't worry about using them all at once. Well actually I'm not sure about that. In Canada at least, they're not allowed to expire.

When I was much younger I'd always use them right away so I never had the trouble of them expiring, except once. And I've been told by two of my family members that there's a law against it. One of them has been working for the government for at least 20 years.

One of them has been working for the government for at least 20 years.

When I worked at the government the MAIN thing I learned was that people working for the government are more cynical about the government than 20-something biracial kids who grew up in a project.
