This topic exists in the hope that newcomers to MMM will not clog the forum with one-question topics, and topics that have already been raised several times.

Basically, it exists to solve simple pleas, so if you're looking for help in a ZX Series game, or you have a simple question about this series, ask it here.

Here is a question to start off.

Does anyone know the exact location for those hopping green bugs?  I want to acquire the extender chip in ZX:  Advent.

I guess the only exact place I'm refering to is the floating ruins.  I think you need Bifrost for this too right?

HAI GUYZ GEES WAT

I finally played ZX for the first time today. Looks more promising than Zero.

Indeed.

Don't listen to Rez's nonsensical rants.  As true as they may be, I found ZX and ZXA to be fun and enjoyable.

ZX is okay.
In comparison to Zero.

Heck, I was able to play through ZX at least once, so it's not that bad.

then again i also played through x7

ZX was good because you can play as Aile, and for once your character sounds like a girl because she is one.

Other than that it was kinda meh.

Still, way better than the festering pile of garbage that was X7.

*shrugs* Aside from some rather entertaining gameplay (again, ignoring the festering words of Rez), I will say the main thing I dig about ZX is the music. I don't think there was a track in particular I didn't like.

No matter what I do, I can't get rid of Trap Phantasm from my mind. It's gooood stuff. But yeah, sure... ZX is alot better than Zero series... or X7 and what not. Definately better than Star Force. Remember kiddies, it's either this or Star Force.

In the words of a wise old witch, "Choose your poison wisely"

(Note: Still, I like the Zero series aswell. Screw what everyone else says, the games were fun to play, albeit a bit too challenging... they were still kickass. ZX takes over that impressively)

Trap Phantasm/Trap Factory were awesome themes. Especially the ZX and ZXA Tunes remixes of them.

Yeah, the thing that struck me the most in the game (so far) is the great music. Good job, Mr.Who-Ever-Composed-The-Music-For-ZX.

Yes yes, see. I got you all to admit atleast one redeeming factor to the series. Honestly, favorite thing about Megaman games for me, was the astounding music.

ZX delievers. Thanks to MMMRadio, I heard Trap Factory. I do like Trap Phantasm more, but both are really nice.

Thanks to MMMRadio, I feel like picking up EXE1 again, amusingly enough. XD

Anyways... I also have a question. Maniac mode? I've heard about it but... what's the skinny on it? Is it REALLY harder than Extreme mode (which is actually hard for me, oddly enough. ChronoForce is a pain) and is there any rewards to reap?

EDIT: Epic lulz. I looked a bit further into it. Maniac = Expert.

Any strategies on beating Lurerre on Hard Mode in the original ZX? I decided to pick it up again after not playing it for quite some time and can't seem to get past her.

Pretty much use the ZX buster on the lower part of the lure.

Not for me. If you want my two cents, I'd say it's that other ice pseudoroid that's a piece of cake.

Seriously. Model L, dash below it, and constant spin attack. Easy kill and easy Lv. 4 victory.

Both games are decent. Better than the Zero games. ZXA is the best one so far.

Nope. Unless you want to choose Hard mode.

Never, under any circumstances, NEVER choose Easy mode. It's so easy, you might actually get bored playing.

I wanted to play a harder difficulty for ZX, but I could only choose Normal as my hardest difficulty. ;-;

Hmm, what's a good strategy for these bosses in this game? My current strategy sucks, "Slash until one of us drop." XD

I found the last boss to be stupidly easy after I remembered that I could jump AND spinslash at the same time, 3-4 hits= much progress.

This next Tuesday I go on vacation and I get to fly on a plane for the first time in years. Would the first ZX game help me pass the time? Would it be worth the money? Because I only want it if it has a semi good replay value. What do you guys think?

It's worth the money for a single playthrough, even. As for replay value, it depends on whether or not you want to play through twice - one time for each character. And possibly a third runthrough, so you can keep Model X (and try harder difficulty, though you can choose that at any time.)

Okay, being the out of practice loser I am, I just beat beginner with Grey. Now I'm gonna go through Normal with Ashe.
When I first picked it up I tried Normal with Ashe and barely finished the intro stage in over 8 minutes. This time, now that I'm back in the groove, 2 minutes, hit once.
Yay.
Grey's ending sucked.

I have to say the game was kinda hard at some parts.

The stages weren't overwhelming, and the boss battles were just right. I thought it was perfectly fine.

Hell, even the final boss was a bitch, which is actually what I want. Serpent in the first ZX was a cakewalk.
