Legends 3 Heroine Contest

Well, Capcom.  Nice move, nice move.

Personally I prefer Kazushi Itou's design.  She looks pretty well like she fits.  The rabbit-looking one is cool as well, but Inafune's design smells of Zero... and that scares me a bit.

Problem is the decision here is being based on looks, when a lot more than that is on the line.  It's impossible to know if the choice is good without more information.

So, then... what's your pick, everyone?

These people look like Navi Operators more than Legends characters.

My vote would be for Shinsuke Komaki's design, followed by Ryuji Higurashi's.

It's obvious that Inafune is in love with Zero. >.>

The most votes are going to the girl who, like I've implied, looks more like TomahawkMan.EXE's operator. 2nd goes to the girl who got my vote.

Do we really need a NEW heroin?  Tron and Roll are plenty.  Also, I really don't see the need for this, unless it's going toward some god awful multi player stuff.  I know that was mentioned somewhere as a possibility. 

That being said I think Ryuji Higurashi and Sensei Haruki Suetsugu have the best designs.  Toru Nakayama and his MMZ/ZX style can go out and ##### off.  Considering how much Inafune loves Legends, it's kind of sad his entry really doesn't look Legendy at all.

Granted this still doesn't tell us if the game will be great or anything. You can put one of your own favorite characters in a game and have it come out terrible.

Seriously, they didn't do jack of ##### to that design.  I was expecting them to just start with it and actually work on it to make it look like it came out of Legends, not Star Force.  This is just a kick to the #####ing balls.  With fans selecting ##### this stupid, it won't be long before we get cameos by Bass and Zero because HERP DERP WE WANT IT LOL.

Are you blind or stupid?  She looked Star Forcey from the get go.  The sum total of her being "Legendified" was absolutely NOTHING.  The design is for all intents and purposes the same and it's still just as bad as it was when it won.

Looking at it, my major beef is the hair. That to me was her best quality, and they screwed that one up big time.

Roll and Tron look fine, but this new girl now looks like she's come from a different series to crossover. Her original look would have been better.

I think you'd do well to compare the two.  The changes are all so minuscule it's rage inducing.  It's the exact same character.  To say that the laughably lazy tweeks they did to "Legendize" her change her in any minor, let alone major way is so off base it's silly.

And that pic with all 3 of them just illustrates how much that design just doesn't fit into Legends.
<edit> and to clarify, the before after makes no difference as she looks the exact same.  The winning design does not fit Legends style at all.  God only knows what kind of Bonne mech we'll get out of this.

See, the problem is that she was fine without any change to me. Sure, they changed some minor things I don't care about and that's fine and expected, but they didn't need to touch the hair and stuff.

And "Legendize". I know what you're trying to say, but let's be honest. They did NOT "Legendize" her at all. She reeks so much of Star Force design now, she most DEFINITELY feels out of place. At least with her previous design I got a bit of a ZX design feel (which feels more appropriate).

Maybe she won't look bad in game, but now my hopes for that are pretty much shot now.

She stuck out like a sore thumb from the start.  She still stands out like a sore thumb.  Your argument makes no sense.  At all.  The changes amount to no real changes at all.  There was no work to make her fit in the style of Legends at all because they kept the design exactly the same.  That is my main reason for being unhappy with her winning.  Yes, the design has no place in Legends, but they didn't do what they said they would do to the winner: fix that.  Looking at beta versions of character art you can see how they refine and work on them, but none of that happened to the winner.  They didn't take it as a starting place and direction to make a character native to the series, they just took what they had and made the hair a little smaller, moved up her kerchif and changed the pattern on her boots and arms.  She's still a Star Force character in a Legends game and looks it.
