Extra Life is doing a charity event where we game for 24 Hours straight and people will donate to us for the cause. I'm personally raising $100 to the Texas Children Hospital.

The event starts on Saturday at 8:00AM and lasts until 8:00AM on the next day, of course. We're going to marathon the Legend of Zelda games, particularly Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. During that time I'm going to stream the event. But, I need your guy's help! You guys could either donate or spread the word to everyone! I'd heavily appreciate the help! I really don't know what else to do to spread the word...

And even if you don't help, you can still enjoy the stream.

The link to the stream:

Please, help us spread the word!

Yo dudes, I know you guys don't have too much free time with college and all, but if you can you should all totally watch the stream. Because it starts. Now.

I'm watching it, and I saw you even flip to MMM on your laptop.

Link to the news when it airs or when it's posted.

Thanks for watching, man. Not too many people did. :/

I can't find the link to the CTV news article, but I'm sure it'll turn up eventually.

It was good.

Only thing I couldn't stand was this troll that joined and was dissing you guys. He said you guys were "terrible gamers" and how Zelda is such a terrible game.

It turns out that his idea of a real gamer is playing games socially through multi-player and online means.

"Oh good. It's another one of... THEM."

Ahahahaha what a douche.

My gaming isn't social.

I bet he links his ##### achievements to facebook.

I bet he hasn't even beaten MegaMan 2.
(I was thinking of instating the belief that one is not a true gamer until they have performed the rite of passage of beating MegaMan 2. Unfortunately enough people can beat MegaMan 2 without having to have their balls in such a position where they aren't superficial tards.)

Yeah... he was dissing us because he knew us. Well, at least one of us. :/

Yeah, that's why I shut down the chat and moved onto a Social Stream instead.

I really wish I could have joined the chat and moderate it, though. It wouldn't load up on the college network.

I watched another team during this event.
Every game out of their huge NES library was played.  Craziness.

I think they managed to raise a couple grand.

Yeah, unfortunately Vinch, I think your goal was a bit unrealistic. 4 Zelda games in 24 hours? That seems... impossible.

Theoretically they could have been done with those four games in less than ten hours, but that requires inordinate amounts of skill and luck. 24 hours is stretching it but 30 would be more than sufficient for an experienced player

Meh, we just wanted to try. :P

Plus, we screwed up a lot on Ocarina of Time. A loooot. I've beat the game in 6 hours before, this time we just messed up waaay too much. It should not have taken us 13 hours to do.

I would have easily done a Mega Man marathon if it was me. Most games can be completed in less than 2 hours.
