It looked intriguing. I really thought it looked awful at first, then I saw a bit more into it and it started to look cool, but I wasn't going to go to see it anyway.
Holy #####. Holy ##### I love Die Hard movies. But if there's any movie from the 80's that actually holds up completely to this day, it's the first Die Hard. Like, holy #####. It's not dated, everything still looks real, the story isn't predictable. I mean, everything is just as awesome now as it was then, and yet you couldn't make this movie today if you tried. It just, it just really #####ing holds up.
Die Hard. Go watch it if you haven't seen it, and if you have (you should have) go watch it again. Now I just want to rewatch the other ones, even Live Free Or Die Hard which wasn't as good as the others (my favourite is Die Hard With A Vengeance) but was still enjoyable.
I'm so #####ing ecstatic that I decided to pop in Die Hard tonight.

Toy Story, The Lion King, and A Goofy Movie are all great movies that stand the test of time because they were actually made well. Space Jam is not one of these movies and it never actually was. It wasn't made well. It's not a good movie whether you're remembering or not. It's not Die Hard! I think Mike was joking to make Slugkid feel bad.
I definitely wasn't. I love basketball. I love Looney Tunes. And I loved that movie when I saw in it in theatres at twelve. But not all things are fine wine, and that movie is actually a piece of ##### in retrospect. It sucks. The only thing I actually like from it is the song "Hit 'Em High" because it's #####ing awesome and currently on my iPod. It was a pretty bad movie when you look back, but when you're a kid it's like "HOLY ##### BUGS BUNNY IS PLAYING BASKETBALL WITH MICHAEL #####ING JORDAN THAT IS SO #####ING AMAZING LIKE JURASSIC PARK 2 WAS AND I WILL ALWAYS #####ING THINK THIS"
Except with the same amount cursing yet more "doodypants", "wow" and "heck"
Fixed. No charge, ma'am. Edit: Pitt did fine as an old man Benji Butt.

So, Edgar Wright (director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) is about to start filming a new movie in March, called "Scott Pilgrim VS The World."
When I first heard about this, I did the research and found out it was based on a Canadian graphic novel. I promised myself I'd read it eventually.
Then I found out Michael Cera will be playing the lead role as Scott Pilgrim. I didn't know how to think about this. I went and read more about the comics and had no idea if it would work with him in the lead or not.
Now is eventually. I've read the first three volumes and I'll start the fourth later.
At its simplest, it's basically about Scott Pilgrim meeting this girl named Ramona Flowers, and in order to date her, he has to defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends. It's really wacky and out there, and it's got a really calm and endearing sense of humor. The jokes and fighting remind me a lot of Ranma 1/2 for some reason. It's drawn in a manga-sort-of style but it's clearly a Western work.
And I hate to say it, but the role of Scott Pilgrim was MADE for Michael Cera. The more I read it, the more I'm convinced that nobody else could paly Scott Pilgrim.
If ever there was a role that required him, this was it. He's not a good actor by any means, but he's more of a prop that fits perfectly into certain roles. This is one that I'm confident was made for him.
This movie is now officially on my radar. It's going to be extremely crazy and I'm sure Edgar Wright can pull it off.
