The Dark Knight was awesome.

Harvey Dent was #####ing wicked.

Joker was pretty much perfect.

And I saw it in IMAX, so the sound was like real life clear and the screen was huge and I got there early enough that I didn't have to crink my neck at the massive massive IMAX screen.

I just wish Bale didn't have an awful Bat-voice, and that he'd close his mouth more often.

No matter what you have over there in Ottawa, the IMAX at Science World is better. Way better. Is yours a huge #####ing globe? I thought not.

Alas, there are no feature films shown there.

You have NO idea what we have. But clearly the IMAX in the movie theatre was not a globe, so you have this round señor Grasas-so!

I'll watch another time. No sound on this computer.

Just saw The Happening. I liked it. I think of the ones I've seen it was his creepiest movie, only in that when nothing's happening he still uses all the creepy filmmaking elements. Which is actually annoying as you don't get much time to not think something is about to burst out or something. Also,
he usually finishes his movies. The guy kills the alien. The man is a ghost and #####s off. The lady goes back to the water, etc. This one... Just ends. And they starts elsewhere.
The Dark Knight.
Went to the midnight release with a bunch of friends.
Over 800 people there.
LONG FRIGGIN MOVIE.
Like, wow.
I'm very surprised.

I thought it ended like 4 times while I was watching it.
TOO BAD HEATH IS DEAD.
The Joker was freaking great.

Best scene in the movie?
Tractor Trailer?
No.
Bike up the wall 180?
No.
Batman walking through a rave and beating the ##### out of people for no reason and throwing a guy off a fire escape?
##### yes.

Things to make it better:
-Less cliche lines from the cops (seriously, it was bad)
-Bale's Batman voice was a GREAT Solid Snake impression. But it's doesn't belong.
-Sonar eyes looked retarded, and why not just turn them off?
-Batman's fist fights were too robotic, and didn't feel authentic.
-It needs more BAM! CLUNK!! WASHOOOOM!!!

Was there anything after the credits?

Also, the half and half was TOO perfect, I mean, his lips being full on one side and all ripped apart and stuff on the other didn't seem right, like one would be pulled over to the other side a bit or something.

Still, the fact that he could put up with that pain and not bleed like crazy is creepy.

He's gonna be in the new adds for Clearasil soon.

Computer broke, so I missed a bit.

Sounds like working in a theater is fun.

The company sucks, and I mean major ass. But this particular building, Cineplex Aurora, has a good cast of people, and it's enjoyable to work with good people with a sense of humour and a management that's capable of getting off their asses and helping out when things are rough.

A friend of mine made a parody of the movie's title.

Hancock-Footpussy

I laughed my socks off.

Sadly, there are people older than me that would find that quite funny.

Anyway.

TODAY I GOT A PASS TO GO SEE THE DARK KNIGHT ON WEDNESDAY!

I hate you.

Haha, I had to close thursday night, and we ended up being one of the theatres that played the midnight show. It wasn't fun. And the big GM, the General Manager was there to see it and thus wasn't working, and he seemed about to explode at us for simple things, and it's like, I'm only one person, I can only do so much. But oh well, at least he wasn't yelling. He was just maintaining that "I think you're doing a bad job" tone that pisses me off because he has no idea what I've been doing.

I'm finally going to see it tonight, because I've been working and this was the first screening we managed to find time for. Have to wait 'til 1:45 when the last Dark Knight finishes before I can start the movie, though. I'm sure it'll be worth it. The past few days have been a bit draining, and I finally have something to look forward to, so that's good.

EDIT: Oh yeah... some of us were speculating about Johnny Depp as the Riddler. I don't really know much about the Riddler, so I have no opinion, but what do you guys think? Not to say it's actually going to happen, or even that the Riddler would actually be in the next film, but rather do you think he'd do well for the part?

Frankly, it's incredible he's even able to talk. Because he can't make such facial movements.

Still, the fact that he could put up with that pain and not bleed like crazy is creepy.

No it isn't. His face logically should have been completely cauterized.

No. Very very no. Not Depp, no thanks, never.

Anyway at work (at the comic store job, rather) we were speculating all day friday as to what villains could be in the next movie.

I want to see Catwoman portrayed or at least acknowledged (with her good costume, the goggles one, or with the stitchy Michelle Pfeiffer costume, or an amalgam of both) but if she was in it she'd have to be the secondary villain (like Scarecrow and Two-Face).

We thought about The Riddler, but again he'd have to be the secondary villain. Riddler isn't even homicidal. Although, with Catwoman being a cat burglar and Riddler being a clue master, it would actually get a lot of the World's Greatest Detective vibe in there, which would be cool. Though one of my friends says The Riddler is confirmed as the villain in the next movie, I've not heard anything official and I think it's rather soon.

Beyond those two we have to start asking the question; Do we start to delve into the world of superpowers? So far these Bat movies have been based more or less on the realism angle, and superpowers could blow all that to ##### if it's done even fraction off.

Clayface would be sweet, but not big muck monster Clayface. The Clayface who is like, just toxic and #####s people up.

Someone at the store thought Poison Ivy would be good, as long as she just did the pheromone thing kind of like Scarecrow and his gas, and didn't have all the plant controlling #####e.

I like Mr. Freeze's origin and stuff a lot, but he's SUCH a comic booky villain that it could be weird. Very weird. But at the same time, they could make it work because at least he has a loose vague basis in science.

I'm not like saying he's the greatest person ever and it's the worst thing ever that he died, I'm just acknowledging his loss at a time when I felt he deserved to be acknowledged.

And yeah, the movie was just flat-out incredible. I actually sort of want to see it again.

Your post did make it sound like all the praise wasn't warranted, even if you said a few times that it was. I know you were tying to say that he's receiving extra accolades because he's dead now, but the generally disdainful tone of the post skewed your message.

Starting off with "God, shut up." didn't help much either.

Also.
