I just noticed John has a Gamecube right next to his Wii, which is really pointless to have now.

If I had a camera, I'd show my crappy room. I have a Zelda poster, the Steve Carrel pen drawing, a drawing of Keiji Inafune (I did it), some retarded boats my mom put up because she thinks the room is plain, a closet jammed with stuff (including my Wii box), shelf with all my games currently, a Wii, PS2, N64, and some other random stuff.

"Matricians: Show Your Rooms!"? Nope.

I have a Gamecube under my Wii. I don't really feel like getting rid of it. I might loan it to my dad, but I need to keep a controller or too.

I kept all 4 Gamecube controllers, and snatched a wireless one from my friend's house. He won't notice for quite a while.

I still use them avidly, as both SSBM and Tony Hawk are played quite a bit by my friends and I.

Same but I have only 3 controllers; One is at a friend's, the other is the first one I had and is garbage, and the third is my Wavebird which I'll keep because using a wired controller with the Wii's top-loading GC controller plugs is a headache.

I have my two wonderfully designed regular purple Gamecube Controllers in all their glory. Complete with GBA sized D-Pad, awkard sized button alignment, and completely rid of the Select button.

If you play Guitar Hero 2, be prepared to crap your pants.
Jordan has been Full Combo'd (no missed notes or over strums).
Hellashes did it earlier this week, but screwed up his star power, here is his second FC of it.

I was just informed by my brother the T man is still alive. He said he saw a video of him at work, and that he actually does have tourettes. Apparently, the character is dead.

I'll give you some more info when I see my brother again. Don't expect anything though..

Take responsibility for your own goddamn mistakes. If you watched the videos it was clear he was just posting different versions of the same thing and didn't say anything about what you posted.

Actually you didn't even need to watch the videos. It said "megaman version" then "original version". That isn't hard to understand.

Personally, I'm not ever going to play the game. It's just DDR on a stick.

No #####. But at the same time, it's entirely different from DDR.

Random side story; My friend Nash is a really good guitarist and he's totally into the whole music scene and we're gonna do the band thing in the summer, anyway he played GH for the first time a week ago and the night before we were at Zaphod's Beeblebrox (a rock club) talking about it and he thought it was dumb or something, whatever. So he comes up to me the night he tried it and he's like "Man it's so much harder than actual guitar... on easy."

Now of course, it isn't actually harder than playing the guitar--it's just different--but I found that funny. GH is a bit more like playing the guitar, than DDR is like dancing, though.

No #####.

You're actually the first say that. Ever since GH3 came out, whenever I said that in public, someone was bound to deny it.

Just sayin'.

I have a friend who is a relatively cool game nerd that spends an excessive amount of time playing Guitar Hero. He just beat "Through the Fire and Flames" on Expert on Thursday. He said he knew he could do it, brought his 360 into the band room for his Jazz Band practice after school (I stayed after for drumline), and he rocked it. He rocked it hard.

I told him that if he spent as much time playing GH doing something like learning to actually play guitar, he'd be a great guitarist. He looked me in the eye, said "I know, but I'd rather play Guitar Hero," laughed, and played some more Guitar Hero with the crowd of 20 or so people watching.

He's a pretty funny guy, too. Not the sort you'd expect to devote that much time to anything.

Zaphod's Beeblebrox (a rock club)

I still think that name's awesome.

There are better different clubs, but yeah I haven't read them. I want to watch the movie, and then read them. I know the movie is completely different but I don't have time right now to read the books anyway 'cause the little time I have to read is spent here or on Fables.

The movie is like, 75% different than the books. Then again, so is every incarnation of the series.

The radio series was first, then the books came and changed everything, then the TV show came and changed everything again, and there were even MORE mediums involved like comic books and such.

The first radio series is my favorite since it's just the right length and ends perfectly, but the books are really where the good stuff is at.

The movie was a disappointment for the extreme Hitchhiker's fan, but it isn't bad.

I'll stop talking about them now. Me posting a Hitchhiker's themed post this short was rare enough.

I know, believe me, I know. Not only do I own two biographies of the guy, but I read them both.

The man fascinates me, and his imagination/sense of humor are things to be admired.

It's so sad that he wasn't alive to see Hitchhiker's become a movie, especially since he spent the last 10 years or so of his life trying to make it into one. He was so young, too. 49. Ugh. Full family. Ugh.

The smile on my face at the end of the movie when "for Douglas" popped onto the screen was one of the biggest smiles I've ever had.

OKAY SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET STARTED? Eeek, we're all allowed one obsession.

Yeah, I read the first book of the five part trilogy and read about that stuff.

Though I really enjoyed both the book and the movie, I want to read the other books. Though the first book has nothing on "So long and thanks for all the fish!" that the movie has in the beginning.

I like how the following 4 books are all titled after tiny blurbs in the first one. It says a lot about the thought structure of Adams' mind: take one tiny idea and let your mind wander until the original idea is entirely different than what you were originally going for.

Incidentally, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish is my least favorite of the four. Life, the Universe, and Everything is the best. Agrajag... ahhh, good old Agrajag. Also, the secret to flying.

Douglas Adams practically invented retconning. Okay, not invented, but knows how to do it and make it work. That's all the books are: large quantities of retconning.

If he were still alive, Capcom would do well to hire him.
