Some Canadian comedy shows I just can't stand, not my kind of humor, or the people are just plain annoying This hour has 22 Minutes seems bluh, but Corner Gas is right up my alley. Rick Mercer just annoys me because of his damn accent, I know thats being prejudice, not giving much a chance because of that. It just annoys me so damn much, that and I can't find politics interesting.

I agree.

I have a friend I'm trying to get to watch Peep Show and he keeps saying he doesn't get "British humor" so he won't watch it. That's stupid. That's like saying every American comedy has the same style, like comparing Curb Your Enthusiasm to How I Met Your Mother.

You hate Rick Mercer? Why the #####?

Because he's crap. Very very spectacularily crap.

Ugh, I hate trying to get people into other shows because usually they just disagree.

I mean, I watch everything from all over the board, like the super-fast-paced Arrested Development to the super-slow-paced Curb Your Enthusiasm to the super-weird Flight of the Conchords to the super-British Spaced.

I tried to get my friend into Peep Show and he just wasn't laughing at ALL. He just totally didn't get it, and it baffled me. And then I tried to get another friend to watch the original British "The Office" because he loves the American one, and he #####ing hated it. The #####ing idiot HATED it. I mean, WHAT?

And my brother, well, he baffled me. I figured he'd LOVE Arrested Development, but he thought it sucked. And that is like the most universally hilarious show I've ever seen, nobody I've made watch it from the first episode has disliked it.

Though once, I made someone watch it from some random episode and it just confused them, so I messed that one up.

But anyway, my brother instead tried out Dead Like Me and LOVED it. That's the sort of show I'd expect him to HATE. Confused the hell out of me.

Anyway, yeah, what Mike said. British television is definitely DIFFERENT than American, but it couldn't have more variety. Spaced is nothing at all like Peep Show which is nothing at all like The Office which is nothing at all like Little Britain which is oddly enough getting airtime on HBO soon as "Little Britain USA" and is being coined as the official 4th season/series of the show.

I gave that show about three minutes of my time before changing the channel.

On friday at the bar I was trying to explain why even though I realize how stupid and poorly made Aqua Teen Hunger Force is I find it funny to Sonia and Robbie, who's the same guy I'm trying to get to watch Peep Show. But they just kept shooting me down and weren't letting me explain or say anything so I got pissed. So I ripped on Lost for a long time to shut Sonia up.

Easy.

...but ...Lost is awesome! MAN.

I've wanted to try "It's Always Funny In Sillydelphia" but I've still never seen it. It doesn't look THAT great, but I've heard it was.

Like I said that night, I love Lost (or at least like it enough) but I hate that it goes nowhere slowly. I also brought up our friend who says he stopped watching Heroes because it "got too ridiculous", which I counter with the fact that he not only watches Lost but goes and reads ONLINE THEORIES PEOPLE POST AND ACTS AS IF THEY ARE TRUE AND THEN AUTOMATICALLY DISMISSES ANY IDEA I HAVE WITHOUT ACTUALLY LISTENING.

I know, Mike. I was just playing along, or whatever other excuse you'll accept.

And that thing isn't loading, Vinch, and I don't even know if I want to watch it. In fact, I know I don't.

True, but Parappa I played back in the day. I can't believe I actually liked it, I realize how much crap it was.

But the horrible rhymes in that along with the meter at the side just like the original game got me laughing.

I like the second better, because the first one just SOUNDS like Japanese anyway. I would never have known they were singing in English if the subtitles weren't there to help me decipher what she was saying.

The second one doesn't have a great singer, but at least it's clear English.

First one could never be considered music in my book, engrish is only good for humorous purposes.

Second one is good, but the singer desperately needs singing lessons. Or a better singer all in all.

I was introduced to that by Adult Swim... that version was far superior and uncut. >_<

I remember staying up til' Midnight so I could see Toonami that late.

I loved Dragonball Z. I would always look forward to it when coming home, and I would complain if I had a doctor's appointment or something. Even if it was just a re-run.
