I've seen much better. Not that this was bad, it was pretty good, but there wasn't enough frames in anything to make it smooth enough. 1500 hours isn't a lot of work for a ~4 minute animation. That's only like a couple months and I'm not convinced every last thing was Lego (not that it HAS to be, but..). Which means for it to be that smooth would be at least 25 of those per second.
Not to bust that, but there's only 24 frames per second in standard animation. And I really don't think it was smooth enough that they used each of those frames, unless they purposefully made the gaps I'm seeing, which would be a waste when you could just film it on 2's instead and get the same result with half the work. I can't be sure right now though, so I'll watch it again later when my computer wants to move a bit faster, or on another machine. But anyway, in the vein of this stuff I've always liked The White Stripes' video for "Fell In Love With A Girl", but it helps that I already liked the song before seeing the video.
