I'll probably pick it up tomorrow or sometime this week. No rush to get it, but I do want it.

OH MY #####.

I didn't think it was possible for OOT to get better.  Somehow they did it.  Everything about this game is excellent.  Aiming by moving the 3DS is much easier than the controls.  In addition the 3D in the game is beautiful.

Okay... Give me a moment.

In order to have the 3d effect you have to hold the thing in a certain position and distance. And in order to aim at something you have to move it around? How does that even make sense?

I thought the 3D was pretty lenient, but just keep your head locked to it and move your entire torso, I guess.

You can turn the gyro control off, which I did.

It's actually REALLY easy to do. Like I said, I've been playing at full 3D and I've only been aiming with the gyroscope - there were a few hiccups in the beginning getting used to it, now it's completely fine. I've also read of other people closing one eye while aiming, which is eerily similar to how it would actually be done in real life.

A buddy of mine let me play it for a bit. My God, it is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a VERY long time.

Also, hi.

A remake of Starfox 64 (remake not port, don't confuse the two) is the ONLY way we'll get a real Starfox game ever again.  But since SF64 was #####ing awesome this isn't a bad compromise.

I never really liked OoT, but I'll give it a second try on the 3DS.  Not expecting much though and I'm mostly just getting it for the soundtrack (I collect them you see).

All these remakes make me want to actually attempt to SAVE money for a 3DS. Or steal the money. Or maybe steal the 3DS? What would have worse consequences?

Yeah, the visuals in OoT3D was a lot better than what I was expecting. I like the little bits of... uh, stuff they added to the environments. Like the little fur things inside of Jabu-Jabu or the strings of flesh connecting the halls.

Apparently the game has a few strange glitches that weren't in the original. Like, you can get multiple heart pieces from the grave digging mini-game and it's a lot easier to enter Jabu-Jabu's Belly in this version.

The power button could not be in a WORSE spot.
What the #####, Nintendo?

That's like the biggest "##### you" to anyone who's ever played a gaming device ever.

I'm pretty sure they purposedly misplaced it to place it somewhere convenient with the release of 3DS lite or whatever it'll be called, when (if?) they do it.

Anyone getting Marlo Kurt 9 and a half?

We should have a community. Although there will probably only be like 2 of us.
