New Humble Indie Bundle is out, this time with games from Frozenbyte. If you aren't familiar with the Humble Bundles, they're groups of DRM-free games for any price you name that are compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows. The money you spend goes to charity and the developers, with you choosing how much to give each. You can even get codes to redeem the games in Steam, if you feel you must use it. This bundle includes: - Trine
- Shadowgrounds
- Shadowgrounds: Survivor
- Splot (It's not out yet, but once it's released it'll be available to download)
- Jack Claw (A tech demo, essentially. Make of it what you will)
It'll be up for two more weeks.

Bumping this because a new Humble Bundle is out. Humble Bundle #3. As usual, you can name your price, DRM free, can be found here, etc. The games this time are: - Crayon Physics Deluxe
- Cogs
- VVVVVV
- Hammerfight
- And Yet It Moves
Yeah, of the above, I've honestly only heard of VVVVVV, which, in itself, is a great game worth nabbing the bundle for. The rest are a complete mystery to me, though, and, considering I already own VVVVVV, I may just skip this one.

And Yet It Moves is a neat puzzle game. ultra indie. I'll beat it and never go back to it.
That's what a lot of games in the bundle look like. That said, I'll still probably end up nabbing this bundle once my bank issues are taken care of. Oh, and if you buy now, you get to play Minecraft for free until August 14 th. Neat if you don't already own the game or were on the fence about buying it, I suppose. And I love the sales.
Pretty much the main and only reason I buy from Steam beyond Valve and (some) indie games.

Well, I nabbed the bundle. Pretty neat games overall. Crayon Physics Deluxe is a fairly fun puzzle game with some really nice music. The game's soundtrack is one of its high-points. It seems like the game wants you to just have fun with it, as well, as opposed to being the best. Unfortunately, the Linux version of the game requires so much effort on the user's end to get it working that I'd almost say it's completely unacceptable for a commercial product to be released in this state. Not that, I assume, most of you here will have to worry about that. Cogs is an alright puzzle game. Nothing too great. Seems like it could be fun to mess around with, but I don't see myself playing it that much. VVVVVV is still great and every one of you should play it. Hammerfight seems like some pretty decent fun. I'll have to get use to the controls, though. I found myself being hit by my own hammer more than the enemy's. And Yet It Moves is pretty much exactly like John said. It's alright, but I don't see myself playing it again after I complete it. Also, all my Steam games still work seamlessly without internet access, I just launch them in offline mode.
Steam does "phone home," so to speak, every month or so you don't sign in, though, forcing you to do so at that time. So, really, offline-mode should be more accurately described as "temporary offline-mode." Or, at least, that's how it use to be. From my understanding, though, it hasn't changed anytime recently.

I mostly got the Bundle because VVVVVV's music is so good. SO GOOD.
...Overall, though, I prefer the games in the second Bundle to this one. Osmos is weirdly satisfying, as is Revenge of the Titans, although I have to be careful when playing tower defense games since they're the worst offender when it comes to me going, "Oh, I'm just going to load this up for fifteen minutes, I don't think I'm going to enjoy this that much WAIT, WHERE DID THE SUN GO? WHY IS MY ROOM DARK? WHY AM I SO HUNGRY?"

Revival for another Humble...er...Game. The Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle.Which, really, isn't a bundle at all. No. Essentially, Frozen Synapse is a turn-based strategy game and...That's really all I know about it. I've heard good things. Most reviews of it tend to be in the 8-10/10 range, so it seems to be well liked. The "Bundle" comes with the game and its soundtrack, together normally running ~$31 or so. This "Bundle" is also the only way to get the game natively for Linux. Same rules as before apply: - DRM-Free
- Cross Platform
- Name your price
- etc
On top of that, if you happen to pay more than the average, you get the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle (first bundle advertised in this thread) as a bonus, which is worth getting for Trine alone (provided you don't, y'know, own it already). This deal is going to last for about two more weeks.
New game has been added. Trauma - A neat little adventure game. Played it for a while and died. Could be alright. Oh, and the bundle actually comes with three albums all made by the co-founder of Mode 7 (the guys who made Frozen Synapse). One of them is the soundtrack itself. Another is an album he did. And the last is a chiptune album he made under a different name. Pretty neat little bonus. I actually like his chiptune and other album better than the soundtrack.
New game. SpaceChem. No clue what it's about.

Another new bundle is out. This time it comes with: - Jamestown
- Bit.Trip Runner
- Super Meat Boy
- Shank
- NightSky HD
And, if you pay more than the average price you get: - Gratuitous Space Battles
- Cave Story+
I threw down $10 for Cave Story+ and Super Meat Boy alone. Haven't really heard of the other games, but they all seem pretty decent.

HUMBLE INDIE BUNDLE 5 IS OUT, BITCHES. Four games, DRM-free, for Mac, Windows, and Linux. The main bundle includes: - Amnesia: The Dark Decent
- LIMBO
- Pyschonauts
- Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
And, if you pay more than the average, you get Bastion, as well. I've already purchased. The bundle is worth it for Psychonauts and LIMBO alone. Bastion and Amnesia are pretty good, too, from what I've heard.
