This looks kind of like what could have been made if MegaMan Zero wasn't burdened by its connection to the MegaMan franchise.

I'll be keeping an eye on it.

This is far enough removed from Mega Man that I don't care if Inafune does it, it's digital only so I'll be skipping it.

I have sincere doubts they only reskinned a game that's ten years old.

It's just a new game in a similar art style. I haven't really looked at much but it seems like the story is completely different, too.

You know I never really noticed that it had a Gunstar vibe to it, but I guess it does.  Though my complete and utter detest of MMZ/ZX still taints my view on this.  That and it being digital only.
