I hate to say it but that logic doesn't apply to what he's saying.
I'd disagree. Capcom, Inafune, Inti, whoever you want to point fingers at that creates Mega Man, makes the story and names for all characters. He created a contradiction by saying "Zero is Bass 2", followed by, "Well, he's never called that but then again he is." If he's ever called that, the source isn't credible, seeing as Capcom/Inafune/Inti disagrees. EDIT: It's not really that long, Xero. |

Basically this "X" person is saying that while Zero was never called Bass 2, he is essentially the sequel to Bass. Or the next level of robot, which is why he's "Bass #2". That logic, however, means that the actual X character is MegaMan 2. And that every reploid is X 2 or Zero 2. And it gets more convoluted in that MegaMan would actually be ProtoMan 2. And ProtoMan would be a 2 of a lesser bot, and it keeps going like that until we get to the first micro chip. So it's a fabulously irrelevant thing to say. This guy's avatar and name combo just seriously piss me off.
This post made me chuckle. Also his signature too. |

Not saying he's credible or anything. But anyway, I argued in my last post that he corrected himself, and yes, you contradict yourself when correcting yourself, but pointing out the contradiction doesn't really apply because we're now supposed to follow up with what he's currently saying, rather than how well his correction correlates with his past statement. You know? He said "Zero is called Bass 2" and then he corrected himself by saying "Well he isn't CALLED that but he is" more to say that it is his unconfirmed, unofficial belief that Zero is Bass 2. Opinion is assumed. Mikero's post argues it in a more sensible way, so it doesn't matter anyway. But yeah. |
