I'm not calling it childish, hell, I smile at the jokes sometimes, buts its starting to go a little too far. What originally stemmed from his topic rolled out and is used in all the topics now. A little joke here and there is fine but almost everyone calls him gay now and he can't do anything about it.

He can do something about it by not letting it bother him so much, the only reason it ever continues is because it gets under his skin enough that he tries to say something to counter it but that ultimately doesn't work out at all because he ironically says it gayly.
