That's the single WORST cricket bat I could imagine. If you tried to play with it...

BUT for costume purposes it's great, because a real one would be annoyingly heavy and long to carry all the time.

Plus I have no clue where to find a cricket bat, and I'm not about to spend money on one, either.

Everything else for the costume was just stuff I had, including the red tie.

I just now found a recreated image of the nametag Shaun wears and printed it out. So, now the ensemble is finally 100% complete.

I feel like it's stupid to wear it and take pictures this early, but I still haven't worn the whole ensemble. I'm curious.

So, if curiosity gets the best of me, you'll get pictures early.

If not, you'll have to wait 'till Halloween.

Here's the "cricket bat," the nametag, and the tie. The tie is pretty damn close except the bits of white in the pattern.

Not pictured is a generic belt, black pants, and the white shirt. Still haven't drawn the blood on the pocket yet. Any tips? I was going to use a red Sharpie, but Wind says it might come out pink.

Don't really have access to paint.

It's not blood, it's red. To get red on you, just break a pen and stick in the pocket.

Haha, yeah, I meant "red." And, well, making a pen explode in my pocket is not a very easy thing to control the results of.

What you do to break it is the best part. You just slam it down like you're writing an infuriating memo and it should start to leak. Place in pocket, hang the shirt UP somewhere you can see it and when it's ready remove the pen so it doesn't go overboard. Let dry. Then fill in with red sharpie where applicable. PRESTO.

I don't have a costume, still. I have almost as many plausible ideas as I do costumes.

I ended up being a pansy and drawing on the pocket with a red pen. I'm probably going to re-do it later.

Anyway, I tried it on today just to make sure everything works.

And I'm going to gel my hair to look like Shaun's little fauxhawk on the actual day of Halloween.

No, man, it bugs the ##### out of me, too! Like, it looks a lot better in-person and farther away, because the camera made it look less red for some reason, but all in all it's really a disappointment.

It's the closest one I had, though, and I didn't feel like buying a new one because at least it's somewhat similar.

You have to keep it going past the meh parts and trim it when it gets long enough.
Then you're good to go.

And Halloween isn't for another week or so so you should be able to grow something.
