I honestly think that its the best game ever made.

Anytime someone says that about any game, I instantly attempt to increase the flow of oxygen to their brain telekenetically.

UT3 is sucking my soul out again. I'm actually surprised by how well they did the campaign mode, considering it's a strictly multiplayer-based game. It's still not an Unreal 3, however; I continue to hope for that to come along sometime, though it's not a very realistic hope.

Besides that, Mega Man X and Castlevania 4 and Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt on my SNES.

I've been playing Fable.
I've married 5 women and seduced entire villages.
I've murdered those who thought they were my friend, I've murdered their family.
I've stolen things that are useless to me just because I could.
It's really weird, I'm actually trying to play through being good, but all I ever seem to do is bad things.
I mean I do all the good quests and stuff and I do a bunch of nice things for people, but I seem to be shifting to the bad side.
At least I think that's what all the scars mean, or maybe it's just 'cause I'm always getting knocked around by everyone during fights.
It really doesn't have the alignment thing labeled very well, so I'm just assuming I'm a bad guy, even though I dress like a good guy.

Yeah, Fable's fun.

My neighbor has that, and he's the guy who goes to gamefaq to play PERFRECTLY and does absolutely nothing fun.  The one bad thing I've seen him do is steal something from a shop, and not a great item in itself.

But if I heard him correctly, eating baby chickens makes you evil.  You grow horns on your head, and that's basically your "evil-meter."

It's very easy to be bad, and a lot harder to be good. Being badass is a whole other thing.

That's just way things are.

I would like to play Fable, but an XBox is... Whello, not likely. Maybe a 360 sometime but I can't think of many games I WANT that badly. And I think Live is meh and achievements are more meh.

About two years after everyone I knew was into it, I've been playing Flyff. Level thirtysomething magician on the Mia server, going for psykeeper. Apparently "psychic magician" translates into "satanist" in Flyff-world.

It's got some pretty neat class character outfits, if you ignore all the worryingly shiny butt cleavage. On both genders.

I'm spending the weekend up north with my family, so I brought the Wii up and intended to replay Super Mario Galaxy... but I left both Wii Nunchucks at home.

So, I'm running through my Virtual Console library finishing up games I haven't yet had the chance to.

I got to World 5 in SMB: The Lost Levels, which is a helluva lot harder than I thought it was. I love the challenge, though.
Also, a few months back I set out to replay all three Donkey Kong Country games. I got distracted about halfway through Donkey Kong Country 3... ironically by Super Mario Galaxy. So, now the tables have turned and I'm finishing this game due to opposite reasons.

Even though DKC3 is my least favorite of the series, it's still an AMAZING game. The graphics are so much better at setting moods and atmospheres than what even most N64 games ever offered. Some of the parallax backgrounds are breathtakingly beautiful. "Ropey Rumpus" really shocked me as a great level. Well, pretty much everything about the graphics in DKC3 are beautiful.
Too bad the gameplay sufferred a bit from DKC2.

I've been trying to play network games on Steam for I don't know how long.
I can never set up and play my own servers properly. The magic escapes me somehow.

You wouldn't think it was a complex thing, but apparently it is.
Even Hamachi quit working.

Beat DKC3 again.

Caught a horrible Scooby Doo reference. Or ripoff, really. Never noticed it before.

How do you cheat?

And also, the title screen/credits screen is definitely the most impressive graphics ever on the SNES. I just decided. The rotating wooden cylinder that Dixie and Kiddy hang from and spin. Beautiful.

How do you cheat?

Theres this cheat involving the waterfall near Funky's place that gets you all the DK coins and Bonus Coins or something.

I forget how its done because I did it a long time ago.

Theres a similar cheat for DKC2 as well, but its a one time deal. You can do it whenever you want with DKC3.

I didn't either until I stumbled upon it on the internet.

It sounded crazy too. For the DKC2 one, you had to jump over that map 16 times without touching it or something. I thought it was fake, but knowing Rare games, I decided to do it, and boy was I surprised.

Oh, oh, I know the secret in DKC2 where in the first level, it's something like you can't collect any bananas or something until a certain point, and then you go back to that room in the beginning with the map and jump over it or something like you said! I forgot about that one!

And in DKC1 there's a warp glitch that someone else showed me and I've never been able to recreate it. It's on the very first map screen, when travelling the dotted lines between the last two levels on the screen.

You have to hit B at the exact frame when you go around the corner.

So really, just spam B while you're travelling between Jungle Hijinx and Ropey Rampage.

I've still got nothing to do today so I played some more SMB: Lost Levels.

I had it on Super Mario All-Stars but it was always too boring for me to play when compared to the other games on that cartridge, like SMB3 and SMW.

So, I'm really playing it seriously for the first time ever. And it really is hard, man. I'm still at World 5, and I'm taking a break now. I'm getting frustrated.

I'd play LostWinds but I don't have my Nunchuck. Ugh.

I almost beat it on All-Stars, but my mom had a habit of yanking the SNES cartridge out before turning the system off (which I just do NOT understand) and that would always erase all the save files on All-Stars.

It took me way too long to finish SMW 'cause of that.

My dad used to do that, too! One of my most vibrant childhood memories is my dad pulling out Kirby's Dreamland 3 from the SNES and it apparently destroyed the game somehow, and the cartridge just stopped working. I was so pissed.

Years later, the game magically started working again.

Also, fun fact:
My brother has never really liked Nintendo, and I figured out why: I would never let him play the SNES very much as a kid, and when we played Kirby's Dreamland 3 together, I ALWAYS made him play as Gooey, who is like a super-lame version of Kirby that follows him and does nothing useful and gets dragged around the screen when Kirby goes faster than him.
So when the N64 came out, I did the same thing, and he just got fed up with it. So he didn't play videogames much as a kid. But then he got his XBOX360 and plays games non-stop.

Well my mom would eject the cartridge, with that lever button crap, but it would still erase save files. It was annoying since she never cared to restart her Mario 2, but I had to restart my own files for EVERY game on that cart all the time.

That said, I'm pretty boss at the start of all those games. ::)

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 Grimoire of the Rift and Final Fantasy XII.

I'm really loving A2 it seems as great as the original but even more so. Could've had a longer story though and it's story ending was kinda weak.

Everyone had those random games as a kid that they bought when they didn't know which videogames were good and which were bad. Mine were that Tiny Toons game and Animaniacs. And last I played them, they were both actually really solid games. Definitely fun and good-quality games.

And I'm really itching to replay them.

I couldn't get into FFTA. Like, I found the best part (of what I played) was everything BEFORE you actually get sent into the Final Fantasy world. Once that happened and I didn't have any of my new friends around, I started losing interest and fast.

But I've heard whispers that the original Final Fantasy Tactics is good, as is completely different in every way from the FFTA. So maybe they did a good job on FFTA2.

I actually never owned McKids, but loved it. I definitely still own one of the worst SNES games of all time though.

I thought the customization was fun in A2 but that was all, eventually I got tired of the game and returned it.

I didn't think there was even any strategy in the game, I found myself having more fun with Advance Wars.

Animaniacs kicked ass. I remember struggling for like half a week to beat The Brain, and then our rental ran out :S

I've got a bunch of those games kicking around. Both of the Addams Family games (one of which is total and utter crap and the other one of which is quite a decent and VERY HARD game), Captain America and the Avengers (pretty good game except for the play control, which is a turd), and NHL Stanley Cup (suffered from a few major issues such as NEVER getting a penalty for a poke check no matter how many times you did it or to whom, but on the whole it's a fairly good hockey game) and that's just the SNES ones.

Final Fantasty 4.
I went into Gamestop the other day just before embarking on a 3 hour car trip.
I went in with the loose idea that I would just blow some cash on a used copy of The World Ends With You, for lack of a better game.
I told Jason (the awesome manager of the Gamestop who I've known since he worked at the Gamestop across the highway, which means I've known him for about 5 or so years.) that I needed a DS game. He asked me if I liked RPGs, and I said yeah. He told me he had a few suggestions. I asked him if he was going to reccomend TWEWY. He punched me in the face and told me it was awful. Then he made me buy FF4.
I'm pretty happy with the purchase.
Most people don't understand that I don't hate Final Fantasy or RPGs in general. I just hate the stupid ass mainstream JRPGs. Yeah, I pretty much hate every JRPG created after FF7.
Man, I hate FF7.
Anyway, yeah, FF4 kicks ass.

I decided, out of sheer fascination, to beat Sonic 3 and Knuckles again.
I'm a little rusty, but I still remember pretty much everything in the game. Played as Knuckles. Usually that trips me up because of the different route, but I forgot how short it is in comparison to the Sonic story.

And how ridiculously easy Super Metal Sonic is.

Animaniacs kicked ass. I remember struggling for like half a week to beat The Brain, and then our rental ran out :S

Oh, man, that battle was disgustingly tough.
And the pies on the train? Shortly followed by the COAL CAR OF DEATH?
What were these guys thinking?

I loved how all the levels in Animaniacs were movie spoofs. The Never-ending Story stuff, and the Star Wars stuff, it was all awesome. BECAUSE AS A CHILD, I COULD RELATE.

And Sano, TWEWY was pretty good, but my game didn't save after I played for a few hours and then I wasn't motivated enough to replay those last few hours. One day I'll finish it. My friend LOVED it.

I personally don't see what's so great about Sonic 1-Knuckles. They're fun games but I totally don't think they were ever that awesome. I had fun playing them as a kid because I didn't own a Sega and it was like a special experience to be able to play one, and it was exciting because I only got to play it a little bit. But after I bought them all on VC I realized that they really aren't all that great. And I've played Sonic & Knuckles to death and still don't think it's that great.

Still quality games, though.

Just don't hold a candle to MegaMan or Mario or Metroid or other games I could be playing.

You can't have opinions about video games because you like Donkey Kong Country.
Kidding.

But you and I are total opposites on those two topics. I hate DKC.

I also hate TWEWY, but I hate the team responsible for it just as much.
And the art design is #####ing horrible.
