Yeah, I'm on 48, and I can't beat it because I'm PRETTY sure you need to insert a CD and I don't own one here.

Right now I'm trying the MegaMan 9 Press Kit CD.

Posted on: 12 November 2008, 16:05:56

Press Kit CD didn't work, and then I remembered I had the MM9 Soundtrack.

So I stuck that in.

It needs to be an actual audio CD because it will start playing music from it.

The boss battles and kart racing stuff was fun.

There was a part where I looked away and my character was just hovering above a giant spike.

You don't need a CD. Your computer probably sucks.

Yeah, you definitely needed a CD for that one.

I even looked online to make sure.

And it was very obvious that I needed a CD, I figured out the puzzle immediately. It just took me a second to find an audio CD. I forgot I had the RM9 Soundtrack.

Then you haven't beaten the game. It's Level 48. Go check it out.

So. Got Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Lots of fun. Reccomended. But don't expect old-school BK. It's very different. But very, very fun.

Just finished BioShock. I was late to the party because I won't buy a 360.
Great game, but that's old news.
I'm pretty interested in seeing where they take the sequel though.

Hehe. One of these days I'll finally pick it up.

Alright, everybody: if you have an imagination, go get the new Banjo-Kazooie. The amount of different vehicles you can make is literally endless. I'm so startled right now.

I mean, I just made a motorcycle with folding wings, and a propellor on top that flies you way up high, and then you can detach it, and then glide like an airplane all over the place. It's so much fun.

I don't even have that many parts yet, either. The more you get, the crazier things you can make.

And everything is useful.

You'll find yourself making sweet new vehicles just for one challenge, and you'll be totally okay with that and having fun doing so.

There's a great Test Track, too, so you can instantly check how your vehicle is coming along. And on top of that, you can go to the garage at ANY time in any game world, and it'll pop you right back you were when you're done.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm about to build my first boatplanebike.

Just started playing Knights of the Old Republic.

Man, you tell people you're playing it as a girl and everyone (read: my brother) freaks out. Bloody romance subplot.

Is there anything wrong with Carth that it sucks to have him in your party?

Banjo-Kazooie is... so... much... fun.

To illustrate my point: I just made a giant airship that with a self-destruct bomb and an ejector seat. I flew it really high in the air, started the self-destruct sequence, and then ejected at the last second.

I repeated this about 6 or 7 times. I did it once with a boat, too.

The fact that they included a self-destruct vehicle part is explanation enough as to how much fun you can have just screwing around in this game.

I also made a very tall "space rocket"-type thing with propellors instead of jets. And I used detachers to make it fall apart in the air. Like a real space rocket.

I also made a lot of planes and did a lot of dive-bombs into a lot of things.

And this is just me playing around! The actual gameplay is fun, too!

I mean, you can literally make almost anything.

You unlock more as you go, and you just keep getting more and more things to make. It's got a great pace, too. It doesn't start you off with too much stuff so as to overwhelm you. It's just enough at the beginning to slowly ease you into how to make vehicles. Then, over time, you amass more and more parts.

I mean, I just got monster wheels. Still haven't tried 'em out. But damn am I excited. I've had enough for one night.

RECAP: I MADE AN AIRSHIP AND EXPLODED IT AND EJECTED LIKE JAMES BOND HOW COOL IS THAT #####

I got Mirror's Edge yesterday. Very fun and innovated.

I also obtained Star Ocean: First Departure. I played through the original YEARS ago in Grade 8 but never got to finish it. The remake is proving to be a very fun nostalgic trip. Can't wait for Second Evolution now.

Well, I'm too much of a wuss to be evil in games, so there goes that problem. Although I was more wondering how good he was in combat.

I'd have an easier time going dark, mind you, if you were allowed to be subtle charming Lawful Evil rather than raving lunatic Chaotic Evil. "Only Sith deal in absolutes," indeed.

In combat Carth is pretty good.
He's mainly a ranged fighter type guy, I just give him blaster pistols and let him shoot holes in dudes while I sword 'em to death.
You'll probably use him until you get Zalbar. Then you might switch him back into the party a few times afterwards, but you'll probably never use 'em again after you get more than 1 Jedi.
I mean, even when I needed a ranged dude I'd think to maybe use Carth, but then I'd see Canderous and HK-47 lookin' all awesome next to him.
Ya gotta go with HK-47.
Make sure to have him with you whenever possible and talk to him often.
Don't worry about Canderous, you'll have plenty of time to talk to him in the next game.

I can't stop playing Banjo-Kazooie.

I don't get it.

Most games nowadays can't hold my attention for very long. I mean, I'll like them and enjoy them, but I just won't get really INTO them.

I haven't spent more than a few hours at a time playing any video game that isn't a MegaMan game or Rock Band/Guitar Hero in years.

I'm just having a blast. There's so many things to do, and I've been playing for so long and doing so much just messing around, and I still haven't even scratched the surface.

I'm confident that this sort of game won't appeal to everyone, and to be quite honest, I'm not a big fan of it as a Banjo-Kazooie game because it's clearly NOT a Banjo-Kazooie game. But I genuinely just love the gameplay. It's crazy-awesome creativity and imagination at its best.

Mike, I'm pretty convinced that you'd love this game, too. What with all your obsession with customization, which probably exceeds my own. Try it out if you ever get the chance.

I'm currently messing with the Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action! game that I picked up for my 360. I bought it as a gift for myself and my family, as I now have a video game that we all can play together during family get-togethers.

As of late, here are the games that I have picked up since October:

Banjo-Kazooie (XBLA download)
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Bee Movie Game ($10 over at Kmart)
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway LE
Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2 (Under $6 on Amazon.com)
Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit ($16 at Target)
Fable 2 LE
FarCry 2 LE
Gears of War 2 LE
The Golden Compass ($5 at Kmart)
Kengo: Legend of the 9 ($10 on Amazon.com)
Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal ($10 at Kmart)
Quantum of Solace LE
Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action!

I've been switching between Gears of War 2, Scene It?, and Banjo-Kazooie as of late. Moreso Scene It?, as it is easy to play while I'm going to bed.

There's an actual adventure, yeah. And it's very fun, too. Mainly mission-based, but the missions are way fun and surprisingly don't get very repetitive.

This game practically forces you to be creative.

Basically, you unlock better and better parts as the game goes on, but I never ONCE felt like I was limited, even when I had the bare minimum of parts.

It's like, you don't realize how much more you can do at any given moment because there's always a million possibilities, and then when you get newer, better, parts you're just like... "Oh. Oh #####. Oh ##### YES."

And a billion more ideas fly into your head.

But yeah, there's a very solid adventure. 6 main game worlds, and one giant hub world.

What the hell? So you can't make anything with arms then. Hm. Sucky, but not a deal breaker.

So then, all motion is flight/swim and wheels?

Basically, everything but joints and pulleys.

Trust me, that's hardly a limitation once you play the game. I'm sure it sounds like one right now, but it's really really not.

So, I found out you don't need an XBOX Live GOLD Membership to upload pictures online with the game. So, here's some high-quality pics of my airplane, my submarine, and my detaching rocket.

You're only allowed to upload 10 pics to your account at a time, so I just picked these three vehicles to show off for now, since they look the nicest.

But they're also fairly generic.

A lot of mine are really only worth showing off if you can see them in action, so I just picked these three.
