So when break started, I owned GH3 and GH:WT, and was borrowing Okami and the new Tales of Symphonia game.

I just bought DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for 14 bucks at a local store called Bull Moose.
Basically, any new game there is 45 bucks.
And used game is under 25 guaranteed.
and they mostly specialize in music and movies. Just shelves and shelves loaded with full episodes of TV shows and movies, even the most obscure things you could think of.
It's amazing.

I threw Guitar Hero 3 back in after months of not playing it due to World Tour.

It's a better game.
And I'm way better at it.
I go try some songs just for kicks and I rip them to shreds.
Like, I've scored another 100k point total on like just 5 songs.

I only played World Tour for a week and got very bored of it.

I would sell it, but I don't think I can sell the equipment and if I can I bet I'd get absolutely nothing compared to how much I paid (about $200).

It's a quote from Clark And Michael (clarkandmichael.com), but I don't expect many people to have seen that. I don't really care about Touched By An Angel. Promise... Really though. Real talk.

...I don't see how it's scary or disturbing. It's neat, sure, but I guess it was more effective on you guys than it was on me.

I definitely loved the concept, though. And yeah, it is really short. I've still got to get all the gems.

What a fantastic ending. I mean, seriously. So great. Totally fits.

Level 7 is so much fun to 100%.

And Level 8 is pretty damn cool, I must say.

I've been playing Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Virtua Fighter 5.

I also picked up Smash Court Tennis 3, but I left that in my new apartment because I can't foresee me wanting to play that in the days up to me moving.

So, I've been playing Solitaire.
It was an over break challenge between my room mate and I to see who could get the best high score.

My current is 4860, which it took me 2 minutes and 3 seconds to finish.

I think that's good enough for now.

The highest possible score in Solitaire for windows is 745, unless you're factoring in the bonus points from time, in which case the highest possible score is 24113.

Half Life is a better game anyway.

... well, that's questionable when you get to Ep. 2, but only barely. Episode 2 has the most amazing end fight sequence in any of the games for sure, but it does require play through the other games to understand how significant it is.

But seriously, the time to play the original is now.
You'll miss all of the in-jokes in the Episodes otherwise.

...

I want to know the jackass responsible for the annoying zombie parrots and poodles. They completely ruined the game with that, they're EVERYWHERE, hard to hit, and bother the hell out of you.

Don't get it. It's not even similar to the original, which was actually really, really fun.

And yes, they did. Which is sad. To put it short, Resident Evil 4 had sex with Dead Rising and then they made a retarded baby. Then put it up for adoption and Nintendo was tricked into getting it.

Ugh, Ys. I've only played III, and only up to the first cave. That game is such a horribly boring grind fest, I can only hope the others are not like it, Vinch.

So, should I get the original, or Half Life:Source?

There's no difference between the two versions besides shiny water and some people say the AI is tougher in Source (but why would you want that given the AI in the original?).

Some company needs to hurry up and make a game worth playing so I have something to ramble about here. I've started played FF9. That is trouble brewing.

Madworld is pretty good. It reminds me a bit of Wild 9 on the PSone, just due to the variety of ways to kill your foes. That said, it's a better game.

I like the artistic direction, and I've been looking for a good beat-em-up lately. John DiMaggio and Greg Proops are freaking perfect as announcers, and give the game a lot of charm.

If you liked No More Heroes, you should check this one out too.

III on the SNES/Genesis?

Yeah, that game is completely different from other Ys games and is often regarded as the worst in the series. They remade the game awhile ago and called it "Oath in Felghana". They totally remade it to use an overhead system, much like all of the other games in the series. I haven't played Oath yet myself, but I heard it was insanely good, with incredible music much like the other games in the series.

Actually, watching a video of Oath is what got me into the series in the first place. And it was Rez himself who linked to the that video.

... you did not just bash Ys3.  One of my favorite side scroling RPGs, grinding and all.  I once maxed out my stats in the first dungeon before I played any farther just because I COULD.  Also, it has the best music in the series, and one of the best RPG scores EVER period.

But speaking of the Devil, I just finished Legacy of Ys Book I & II on DS.  Damn fine game.  Damn fine.  Book 2 is a good 3 times longer than 1, but it all balances out into one complete and awesome RPG.  God I miss the days of the silent protagonist.

I am now starting up Jake Hunter.

I got Resident Evil 5 now.

And I'm having tons of fun with it! In one sitting, I managed to get all the way to Chapter 4, half-way through the game. On a friend's PS3. Where I couldn't transfer the save file onto a USB Drive. Because it has online data.

I'm rather disappointed...

If you liked No More Heroes, you should check this one out too.

You should probably also recommend it for anyone who likes God Hand (There's even a subtle nod to God Hand at the end of one of the boss fights.) or Viewtiful Joe, since it's made by the same people. Well actually, it was made by Clover, but most of the people at Platinum Games are the remnant of Clover. How many times have I said that?
I intend on getting it, but I just got The Orange Box and I'm probably getting it for my birthday anyway. If not I'll just be able to go buy it myself... And maybe a pack of cigarettes, but probably not because I totally fear cancer and they're too damn expensive.
So I'll be having fun with it in 6 days. Anyboo, The Orange Box. C'est tres epic. Mega-ultra-epic even. It was worth all the searching I had to do for it, I found it new even. The lesson I learned is to never order anything from GameStop on line, just because all the dudes who work at my local GameStop are all awesome dudes I've known since I was 7 and people I went to school with doesn't make the rest of the company not evil. Half-Life 2, played it already, still epic. Episode 1, a little epic than the original. There was only one Strider, and having the Super Gravity Gun near the beginning just to have it taken away is a real downer, but seeing Barney rockin' some chin fuzz was pretty cool. Episode 2, pretty epic. Hunters are an annoying pain in the ass, defending the silo is a pain in the ass since I haven't even been able to complete that part yet, Magnusson's an annoying pain in the ass, Vortigaunts are epicly awesome. The are Vortigaunts are everywhere and that's awesome. Portal's pretty cool. GLaDOS and the turrets make it all worth it.
Now Team Fortress 2. I've admired it from a far for quite some time. Hilarious, artistic, fun, and also frustrating at times. Even though I've been told the XBOX games are empty and hold less players than the max of the PC version, at least that's what I've heard. I don't really feel like that's the case most of the time. It's usually full of chaos and explosions, but sometimes I will run around the map and I'll be like "Where are all the Blus?" I love the art styling, it's like a cartoon straight out of the 60's. All of the voice acting is pretty solid, and all of the characters seem pretty deep for dudes with no depth. I'm pretty skitso with classes, I haven't decided on which one I like most, but in stats it shows I've played Scout for like 4 hours and everyone else for like 1 or 2, 'cept Demoman, he's only like 40 minutes or so. Anyway, I like it.
AND IT'S ALL ONLY FOR 20 BUCKS! ^_^
