Saints Row is pretty good. I don't really like having to do activities between every mission, or how I gotta buy ammo like all the time (and it's expensive for now), but it's alright. A lot of stuff reminds me of San Andreas and a lot of stuff reminds me of GTA4 but it seems to be a good mix. Not spectacular but I can imagine how dope it was when it came out.

I've gotten REALLY into Skate 2.

As in, I've played more than a couple hours a day for the last few days.

I love how gruesome the ragdoll physics make all the bails look. I find myself cringing and going "OHHHHHHH SNAP" when I wipe out hard.

It took me a really long time to stop pressing "Y" to grind, haha. THPS reflexes are hard to kick. And about that: I'm a huuuuuuge fan of THPS but it's definitely grown stale, and this is a nice refresher in the world of video game skateboarding. Should've definitely tried this out a looooong time ago, I've been meaning to since the original came out.

Mmm. I'm not a fan of Skate or Skate 2 much at all. I got used to the controls fast and while they're interesting they're not actually good. Tony Hawk games were best at the first THUG, and since then I've only really cared about the story since then, so gameplay-wise I haven't really cared all that much.

THUG is probably my favorite Tony Hawk game. Still have it. Unfortunately, the only one I still own is American Wasteland for Gamecube. Still a good one.

But yeah, I definitely love Skate 2. Can't say much for the first one, but I doubt it was very different.

I have no idea why I love skateboarding games so much, I could care less about the sport in real life.

American Wasteland was really glitchy and stuff but it had a great story and the gameplay was still really good. I wish I had the first THUG but I only ever rented it (same with THUG2). These days I only have THPS3 and THAW.

To be honest, I don't remember the stories at all. But yeah, THAW is still great. I've replayed it a couple times and I used to tend to go back and mess around a bit, but haven't really done that in a long time.

THUG is probably my favorite Tony Hawk game. Still have it. Unfortunately, the only one I still own is American Wasteland for Gamecube.

Don't know why I contradicted myself there. I only have THAW, not THUG. Not that it really matters to anyone.

THAW was nice for it's lack of loading screens.

Those are really fun games... I should get one for the 360.

I don't know about the 360 ones, man. I played a demo for the latest Tony Hawk. It was alright. You can build your guy in three different ways, but it doesn't seem like it's that great. I'll probably still rent it sometime.

If you liked THAW, try Project 8.....It's REAL fun to play. It's close to THUG. : D

Anyways, I just got back into Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.

Best fighting game of it's time, and still the best fighting game.

I feel like getting an XBL arcade game.

I'm stuck between these:
Peggle, Geometry Wars, Castle Crashers, and Braid.

Anybody have any recommendations?

I played the trial for Braid. It was fun, but I haven't tried any of the other ones yet.

If they have demos, try them out first.

I tired all the demos.

I went with Castle Crashers for sheer party fun value.
Now I have 800 points left for whatever.

Apparently, I'm a beast at Halo 3.

Facing a team of 5 high level players, with just 3 on our team, we only lost by 7 and I had 28 kills.

I also consistently one of the top on my team, averaging maybe 15 kills each round.

I'm only playing social slayer though, because Halo is cheap and requires you to buy other maps to play all the modes, at that's like $17 worth.

They made the first #####ty map pack free, but the other good ones they still have you pay for them.

I hate paying for downloads, haven't the companies already made enough from me buying the game?

When we bought our XBOX, it was used, for $60.

We got it with music and map packs for Halo2 already on it.

We have a friend with kids that we play Halo with.

We mostly use Halo2 as a teaching tool for gaming ettiquette. ("Just because your sister had to use the washroom doesn't mean you get a free kill," "Dude, you've got a higher-level player to ##### around with, stop slaughtering the girls," et cet.)

The boy is addicted to Runescape, new technology (it's new and more expensive so it's obviously better, right?), and sitting on his ass.

We're helping him be more social.

On general topic: I beat the Elite Four and earned my Nat. Pokedex.

This is the first time I've gotten to play a game all the way through (not counting that in Disgaea, if Mid-Boss kills you the first time, it counts as a completion) since I was little.

Today I finished Saints Row. Or at least the story. I'm only 69% done out of everything.

I really liked the game even though there wasn't as much to do as I wanted. Activities weren't much fun after a while and the world isn't as big as San Andreas, or there's less to really get to know. As far as I can tell Stilwater is more similar to Vice City in terms of size, but I'm not sure.

The game improved on things from San Andreas, as I'd heard, and it had what was clearly the predecessor to a lot of stuff in GTAIV, but I wish it was as big as San Andreas. Even the story felt quite a bit shorter. But I since liked it a lot I'm trying to decide if I want to trade it in when getting Saints Row 2, if I want to keep it and do more completion-wise (but I won't 100% it, because some activities are really boring), or do the same completion thing and THEN trade it for SR2.

I'm excited to play the second one so I might rent it first to help me decide. Hm.

Going through Grandia again.
... I'm honestly not sure when I started this run, since I have multiple saves in various places during the game. ... I think it's around the 10th or 11th time I've been through the current bit.

Also been trudging through Lufia 2 (started out fun, but oh god it slows down), and I might try to finish up FF9 if I can find the discs somewhere.

I'm really pissed.

I went on a run to do some of stupider achievements on Fable 2, and didn't realize it autosaved. Now my game is ruined since my guy's been killing loads of people. Gone from perfect good to complete #####.

I guess I don't care that much, I'm done with the story anyway and it means I don't have to buy any of the expansions, but... #####. I should've done it with a separate character.

Now I remember why I never liked autosaves. I could probably become good again just by dancing and crap, but I don't know if I want to bother.

It's REALLY hard to go back.
I just started a new game, pretty much completely good, got the halo and everything.

I'm doing just about every side quest the game has to offer though.
And man do I love buying loads of those XP potions.

Well I've already finished the story so I don't really care about starting a new character. I was gonna get Knothole Island and stuff but now I'm like "forget it" and might just use the game as a trade in.

But... one of my wives left me with our son and then somehow died so the son is gone.

The other wife (a whore) said she was leaving me so I killed her.

I realize it's a game but now I feel bad continuing, hah.

But yeah maybe I'll just do that. My purity is still full. I'll let the game make me some money before going back since I had raised prices anyway (but that'll probably not help my purity). So yeah, I might try to set it right.

I hope the price has gone down at least a LITTLE (but I doubt it has).

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO

CRAP.

I went over to my Cousin's and took my hard drive, and he had my gamertag imported on there from another time.
So I went and deleted my gamertag off his memory card AND IT DELETED MY GAMERTAG OFF MY CONSOLE.
I LOST EVERYTHING IN FABLE 2.
CRAP.

Well. I no longer have ANY reason to continue playing it so I'm going to sell it and get a different game.
Unless I play through completely evil.
GRAH.

THAT PISSES ME OFF.

Not to mention my OTHER game saves, who knows....

Yeah if neither of you have Fable 2, I'll probably not try to redeem my guy and stuff. Weirdly all the Fable 2 add-ons seem better than the actual game.

If you want something like Fable 2 but way more complicated and, frankly, better then check out Fallout 3. I know I was iffy on it before but I actually got a look at the manual the other day (since they didn't give it to me when renting) and that coupled with what Chron has said convinced me that the game gets pretty #####ing awesome once you aren't dying and weighed down all the time. I intend to borrow it from my friend if he ever finishes.

I almost beat a marathon game of Hexic HD today. Weird.

I 100%ed Lego Indiana Jones yesterday and finished getting all the achievements. Normally I wouldn't care about the achievements but they're ones you pretty much get while trying to 100% the rest of the game, and they're not really difficult though some are tiresome.

Annoyingly one of the achievements is called "You cheat very big", which is for unlocking characters or something, and it's annoying because I did everything in the game legitimately through time and effort.

More annoyingly once you 100% the game, money and hearts rain on you all the time when you're in Barnett College. Except it's impossible to get hurt in the college so the hearts are useless. AND you've already unlocked and bought everything (a requirement to 100%) so the money is also useless. Plus you can't get any more than 4,000,000,000 studs so even though you're picking up cash all over it's capped out and you're not even making money anymore. Like what the crap.
