Also, to any of you playing or planning on playing BlazBlue:

Don't let an Arakune player get you into a corner. If they know what they're doing, you're pretty much screwed.

Majora's Mask was good, damn it! One of the more original Zelda games... <_<

I've been playing through all the Zelda games recently... and getting 100% on them. I'm doing Wind Waker right now.

Beautiful.

Majora's Mask was beautiful....the concept was not. I love all the detail they added to the game from OoT...but I wish they would have made it more true to the formula...

I liked the temples. That much i know.

And rolling around Termina as a Goron was awesome.

Also, Tatl + Tael= Tattletale.

They could have gone without the 3 day time line thing. That was hella-confusing.

Also more temples...one of the reasons why I love Link to the Past, the gameboy games, and OoT is the ammount of dungeons and puzzles in them.

3 Day Limit was fine, and was pretty integral to the storyline.

Not to mention, MM has the strongest NPC support out of any of the Zelda games.

Also, Great Bay Temple and Stone Tower Temple = Most logical Zelda dungeons in the series. Nothing can top the two.

My problem with Majora's Mask is this; I didn't have fun.

Like, at all. And since I was funky fresh off OoT and was like 14, I would have eaten up almost any mediocre Zelda game. But no, MM WAS that bad. Maybe you had to be 9 at the the time to enjoy it or something.

I mean, there's what Edge said, the masks don't work as the core hook and the game WAS MOS DEF a shoddy patchwork of OoT. Add to that, the time travel is actually crap. While it makes sense that stuff you did doesn't stick when you back in time, recognize that that ##### done incorrectly is #####ing infuriating. I don't think it, or the masks, were implemented correctly. Which is too bad because they both really appealed to me.

But whatever. I rented it, so I'll admit I didn't get WELL into it, but I was done the first time the moon killed me because it was crap enough that I didn't even care to play beyond a single death. It didn't even interest me after that. I didn't care about finding that douchebag who made me a Deku Kid, I couldn't be bothered. I barely felt like this was Link I was playing as. I can't comment the game's supposed deeper story.

It's honestly half of the duo of the only two Zelda games that I hate. I can't find any reason why I'd play them again unless I just wanted to hurt myself, but I do enough of that anyway without validating bad work. I'd rather play Minish Cap and I did.

Did you just mentioned half the dungeons in the game. There was barely anything in the game.

4 Dungeons, 24 masks, roughly 80% you had to do a side quest that took two to three days of exact timing to do. It took virtually the whole 3 days of exact timing to get to a single dungeon, and the dungeons weren't exactly that big. Atleast in LttP and OoT, you can get to the dungeons on your own time, solve their puzzles, and move on to another one, there are 12 Dungeons in LttP.

Majora's Mask was a fail, just as Adventure of Link. Hell the CDi games, even though they are mentally retarded, are more fun than trying to beat Majora's Mask without a walkthrough.

Right, calling the CDi games more fun than trying to beat Majora's Mask invalidates your opinion.

What? There's only 4 dungeons?

I knew there were only four areas surrounding me but I didn't think they'd limit it to just 4 dungeons... That's unbelievably stupid.

Changes my opinion about the game....

I don't think the dungeon count should change your opinion. There's also two spider-houses to be fair, which I count as half-dungeons, like I counted the Ice Cave and the Bottom of the Well in Ocarina of Time. Oh and I forgot Ikana Castle and the Deku Palace. And the Pirate Fortress. Still definitely not as good, but oh well.

The dungeons were big enough for me. The last two were my favourite.

And wait... where did you get 12 dungeons for Ocarina of Time? And why does the dungeon count matter so much as the length and general playability of the game?

I can't comment the game's supposed deeper story.

There isn't one. Just a bunch of side stories, really.

Mike, you didn't even get to jam on guitar as a Zora?

I thought it was awesome that I found a way to get every mask before doing the 3rd temple, and actually getting to the 4th while skipping the 3rd.

I took a year to get into the third because I didn't know you had to drop the eggs in the center of that tank.

Once I did, I had basically 100%'d the game except for 2 hearts and the great fairy sword.

Alec, I agree. Except sweet hairy Irish love.

I went to Best Buy to buy blank CD's, and as I walked in they had a huge bargain bin thing, and that Lost game for XBOX360 was sitting in ther for $10.

So, I was like, "whatever." And bought it. I'm not expecting anything good, but it'll probably be a fun enough diversion.

Yeah I don't even count the CDi games are real Zelda games. I can't.

Mike, you didn't even get to jam on guitar as a Zora?

THAT'S ALL I WANTED TO DO.

Also I want to make sweet biracial interracial love to the Wind Waker graphics (they're Japanese).

And yeah, I've heard mixed things about the Lost game. It's probably not good but interesting enough for a fan. I'm really paranoid so I stay away from most tie-in games because it looks like you played it only for the achievements, SPEED AND LUNCHEBOX.

Sano, I'm gonna say this with all due respect, but get bent.

I'm starting to get tired of you saying that I "hate everything" when if you didn't just selectively read my posts you'd know I don't. I've praised quite a few games among other things recently. So big dicking deal I don't like Majora's Mask and I'm tired of seeing the SAME Team Fortress 2 joke all the time, deal with it.

Other people, MORE people, have said the same stuff as me so clearly I'm not the x-factor here, thanks.

I have a tolerance for things that "suck" I guess.

I mean, I like Starforce just a bit. Majora's Mask is just okay. It's not great, but I might play it sometime.

If it just flat outright stinks, it's a different story, like Battle Network 4.

I restarted Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All the other day. Mainly because I can't find a single copy of ANY other Ace Attorney game. I once saw a copy of Trials And Tribulations at the new Gamestop for 20 smacks but I was on a mission for others things, and I think it's gone now.

Quite annoying.

I also started Earthbound for about the fifth or so time.

I just beat BlazBlue on Hell difficulty.

Nu-13 has got to be the cheapest boss of any fighting game I've ever played.

My next goal will be to beat score attack mode which, for whatever reason, is even more difficult than the Hell difficulty on arcade mode.

I'm going to end up with blisters.

Oh by the way, listening to the 2008 Ace Attorney Orchestrated tracks reminded me to tell you: I finished Trials and Tribulations.

It's definitely the best out of the three, and I change my mind on the music. Although I don't like some of it more than the first, I think everything in it is better than the second and the music does grow on you. I enjoyed the last case and the "hints" in it that reminded me of my previous cases.

Don't know when I'm gonna nab Apollo though, but I certainly wish I knew more about the Edgeworth game in progress.

Still playing Mass Effect.

Just did Feros.
Nailing LOTS of side missions.

Anyways, there is one part of the game, a planet in the Han system, level 2 cold hazard, just driving the Mako around is making me feel REALLY cold there.
Like, they did an incredible job of imitating a blizzard.

Though the price they paid was frame-rates.
It's baaaad at points.

It'll be out on the 15th of November, the name is going to be Ace Attorney: Investigations.
I know. I wish it'd be something like "Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor" or something like that, but, no. Apparently, Capcom wants it to be clear it's a spin off.

I just beat Mass Effect.

Used Ashley for Romance, and had her as an ally for the WHOLE game, but didn't get the "Soldier Ally" Achievement.
Lame. Same with Tali.

Also, the story at the end of the game was AWESOME.
I think everything covered itself pretty well.

I hate that you have to choose between a total bitch and an awkward alien.
The scene wasn't even good. Just kind of thrown in for very little reason.
Overall, I'm very happy with the game.

You have to do most of the sidequests and story missions for ally achievement. It's like 75% of each, which is about 15 missions and 50 assignments. Maybe it was the sidequests thing? The collection ones don't count for it.

I got Kaidan's. Liara's is the hardest one to get, you basically need a walkthrough for it, since she's the only one you don't get at the Citadel where there's lots of sidequests from the get go.
I have no idea why anyone would pick Ashley for romance at all.
Let alone keep her alive.
Unless you have a thing for racists.

Also, the story at the end of the game was AWESOME.

Toldya! I mean, I liked it before, it got to holey moley standards when you find out... Well you know.

Man I can't wait for Mass Effect 2, but I'm not going to be able until play it until like April.

Well, save for her being a complete ass, she has a few redeeming qualities.
Very few.

Regardless, I got Paragon.

Also, I did like EVERY side mission besides the stuff on Feros and the last assignment.
I guess I had to just wander around and find more people to give me missions....

Probably. Sometimes sidequests lead to other sidequests too, so there could have been a sizeable chain of them you missed. I don't know, the ally achievements are really finnicky I think. I assume I didn't get one for Garrus because I used Liara and Tali on Feros.

I think Feros had like three to five assignments. I'm not sure about the other planets but I think Noveria was comparable to that. Citadel had loads, and had like computer terminals and things that would lead to UNC sidequests. But for UNC ones you can also just enter the system or land on the planet/ship half the time and you'll make the sidequest available.
