Dragon Age Origins BLOWS.
Slow as hell, no real connection to any characters, and I played on PC with mods to max EVERYTHING out and it still took better than 18 hours. It was all just tedious boringness. Even when you're over powered, the battles are just lame.

Also, nothing even amounted to anything and the ending SUCKS unless you're a chick who bangs Alistair.

A Bioware game is slow-paced?
This... doesn't surprise me.

I may have already said this but I'm in the market for a new PC this year (even though I was kinda gonna do it last year I decided to just chill for a bit) and Oblivion and Fallout 3 are on my list of PC games to get along with Starcraft II and Amnesia.

Dragon Age never entirely appealed to me, especially when watching my brother and my dad play it. It totally intimidates me on a WoW level.

Wrapped up Ghost Trick yesterday.  I admit I was spoiled by 999, so while Ghost Trick was a superb game, it didn't have the impact it probably would have if I hadn't finished 999 before it.  Ghost Trick is definitively on the top 10 best DS games.

My friend got me Ghost Trick. :D

I can't get it until Summer, though, when we're not at separate schools...

As a huge Dragon Quest fan, I picked up DQVI. If any of you guys are classic RPG fans (haha) then pick it up! It's good.

It's the last DQ game I need to beat before I have all of them beat. That's something big for me, I don't usually beat every game in a series (Games like Mother, the RPG Mario games and Classic MegaMan are some of the few games series I beat all of the games in).

Which reminds me, I just beat Dragon Quest IX yesterday.  Fun game.
I've only beaten that and VIII, but there's just something classic about the series that makes them fun to play.

I recently started playing Golden Sun: Dark Dawn again. I hadn't finished it with all the hullabaloo around the wedding and baby stuff, but now that things are mostly in-place, I have more time to focus on it.

Started playing Halo Reach last night with Ray and our friend. I'd forgotten how unobservant I am when playing Halo (to the game, not to my surroundings).

I once again love Oblivion... After all this time I started the Shivering Isle expansion and it is wonderful, (though I like a bit of insanity). I guess it didn't really add that much to the game, but it seems to. I like the atmosphere, the personalities of npcs, and of course Sheogorath. It makes me a bit more hopeful for Skyrim.

At the same time they do something right, I still have to get a mod to make a cool companion you can obtain not super die all the time. I guess you can only expect so much from those guys...

The controls were pretty junky too.

It pretty much is just like that, although it is a little too easy. I'm playing through it on normal and I've just been breezing right through it.

Apparently very hard is the normal of this game.

Beating it is easy though, getting 3 stars on everything is where it gets hard.

I finally beat Bulletstorm's single-player campaign. Holy damn...I never thought the game would end. I love me some FPS, but they really dragged out the story more than they needed to and without a lot of variation.

I loved Dragon Age Origins. The story is a bit cheese but I liked most of the characters and doing the different origins with each race. Only thing I didn't like about it was that the whole game was basically recruiting your party members (and I can think of other recent Bioware games which were similar).

I've been playing Demon's Souls recently and I'm pretty sure I'm playing the game wrong.

Dragon Age is WAY too #####ing long but it's not terrible. It's just annoying that it can take my night's free time (I don't have much beyond a couple hours here or there) to manage all the stupid item drops.

I wouldn't compare it to "other Bioware games" (Mass Effect) really because those are actually well balanced between story and action to make an interesting universe you can get into. DA doesn't really do that, and I hate mostly everyone who isn't in my party and even THEN completely dislike at least two of my party members (so far).

I have to keep cheating on Dragon Age with Lego Batman. Certain days I can't deal with that Fereldan #####. Been playing DA for a while now and I'm NOT far at all, I'm sure.

And yeah, I bought Lego Batman  for ten bucks and I'm quite proud of that.

Am also gonna be playing some Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 with some friends finally.

For sure Mass Effect is a better game than Dragon Age for me, but one thing I did like about DA was that it didn't exactly tell you which dialogue choices are considered good or bad. I liked it when the game left it to me to decide what was morally right. (which unfortunately is becoming more like ME's dialogue system from the DA2 demo I played).

In Mass Effect you are given a visual that tells you which dialogue choices are considered good or bad. That wouldn't be so bad if the game didn't only reward you for being either a saint or an bully; there's no benefit to being in the gray other than fulfilling curiosity.

...I need to go and finish my 3rd playthrough of ME2 now to get ready for ME3.

That's one of the small problems with ME I have. I find myself just picking all the good options just to make sure I have enough good points to do the Charm options in conversations...

The demo for Dragon Age II was pretty damn fun though... and is only reason I bought Origins.

To be honest, I don't hate Origins, but I don't think I'm ever going to finish it, especially since the final boss is impossible for my character apparently... I #####ed myself over and I honestly don't feel like redoing the whole last part again.

I just used the dev console to have all the best max everything.
I'm glad I did. That game was pretty much a waste, story wise save for a few cool parts, and the combat was very very tiresome.

I'm playing Rule of Rose right now. It's a survival horror type game... It's not very well known.

It has very faulty gameplay but I find it hauntingly beautiful at the same time. It's impossible to describe the story accurately because a lot of it is left for interpretation. It's also quite messed up.

I WOULD be playing Pokemon right now if my damn order would arrive. >:T

Stop playing New Vegas!
Play Just Cause 2 with Mods.
That's an excellent way to burn 20 hours.

Still on DA:O because I'm rarely home and when I am I'm either reading or kicking the crap out of Lego Batman.

I JUST GOT PORTAL 2!

I'm not going to say too much but I'm playing it with a huge smile on my face thanks to the dialogue.

Pc version had 360 controller support with rumble which is awesome. I connected my Dualshock 3 via usb cable and used Motioninjoy so Portal 2 thinks it's a 360 controller.

Optimally, I want a joystick with loads of buttons for my left hand and a mouse in my right. I Like keyboard and mouse, but finite movement with WASD is impossible compared to a controller.

Year at least, for me.  Hell, maybe the best game I've played in several years.

Just finished the singleplayer twice... once to enjoy everything and the atmosphere/writing, and the second time to go back and get achievements (Pretty sure all of the single player ones are done for me... was nice to see some of the SPOILER stuff).

Game makes me wish even more for information on Half Life 3 or Episode 3 or whatever they want to call it now.  If they can make Portal 2 this stunningly awesome, I have no idea how they intend to top it... and HL3 must top it.

I like tilting a little to walk and a lot to run. It makes sneaking in games easier, rather than holding ctrl all the time while sneaking.

Some PC games have dedicated walking buttons, but it's more intuitive to control movement speed with a joystick. Then again, I usually just tap the WASD keys instead of holding them down if I want to do fine movements.

Not to mention tangling up 2 fingers at once to move.
I've tried mapping a joystick for my left hand only but it's a whore to do in conjunction with a mouse, too few buttons on the left hand. I need a big 'ole flight joystick and a 10+ button mouse and I'll be ALL set if I can get them to cooperate in game.

My mouse currently has 3 buttons :(

Also, I've tried the tandem 360 controller/mouse thing, great for moving and shooting, but not jumping or anything fancy like that.
