It means the body isn't 3D when the head is. It's because the shading on the body is only on all the outside edges which is a common spriting mistake.

You already know the sheet is still in the works, and I'm taking the helpful critisizm quite well I think. And the only reason I said that was because sheets like that take almost no effort to create, and when people complete them, they claim they're 100% custom edits, I see it as my job to kill every spriter like that.

Saying someone's work sucks without any constructive criticism is not cool, I agree, but neither is expecting everyone to say "it's awexome lawlztime". I find that rather presumptuous.

well back on subject.here is a sprite sheet I made.

Contrast looks improved a lot, you did a decent job. I dont really see to many problems besides a few of the gray parts pillow shaded.

It's not really capcom's fault. I forgot to mention that the contrast on the gray isn't good, since the blue looks like it has a thick black outline. You need to fix that. Add some black pixels on the grey too, so it'll fit better.

Axl's legs aren't dark, infact his legs seem to match it well, I'll see what I can do.

In the meantime. . .

this set is to closely resemble Axl's X8 running style and other extra stuff

They're a lot better than the stuff I saw before. They actually look like they've been edited so they seem different from an actual Zero sprite. Good job, keep it up, and always practise : D


Also, if you want to make the shooting motion a bit more Axl like and neato, I suggest putting in some recoil when the shot is fired.

That will be important in MMA, but. . .

Axl never had recoil while shooting in and game. . .recoil is bad for Rapid Fire.
