Not really, it just emphasized how empty and boring it is.

Our school used the Soulja Boy song for a video announcements thing, where our school mascot gets kidnapped by guys in black suits. It was pretty funny.

The Octopous Project

I just saw them live about a month ago when they opened for Aesop Rock. They were... interesting. Devo meets Melt Banana.

Mikey, Soulja Boy is like old chicken, he doesn't taste very good. Old chicken tastes better with stale, chalky mashed potatoes. Linkin Park is like stale, chalky mashed potatoes.
Old Chicken and stale, chalky mashed potatoes are served.

So I turned that off after 30 seconds. That made that Linkin Park song even more stale than it was when it was radioed to death in 2003/4. And it made Soulja Boy worse if that's even possible. The beat was the only thing that song that was paletable. And the LP didn't really sync up with the lyrics enough to even mention that they sync at all.

The Travis Barker remix was pretty fresh though.

Never heard it. It would have to be #####ing farm fresh to make Crank That sound any less like cattle.

It's like it was written by bison with down syndrome.
No, that's an insult to bison.

I love live stuff...

Metallica is golden live.

Listen to(or even look up on youtube) their S&M performances.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=erPnyi90cIc

There's the vid for "Nothing Else Matters"

There's like a minute or so of nothing(the orchestra tuning) and then it starts.  Its pretty amazing in my opinion.

I recently discovered a type of Techno called Jungle, it's pretty trippy. I still like Happy Hardcore better though. As for Megaman music, I've always had the urge to try use it to mix with. I'll have to try it sometime.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend it. He always comes out after shows to sign #####. You can also pick up an original copy of 'Fast Cars, Danger, Fire, and Knives" with the 88 page lyric booklet from all his work up to that point.

Current: "Real Men Dance" - Sweden's Finest

If anyone can find me a CD by these guys, you'll be my personal hero.

#####loads of OSTs, notably Perfect Dark and Donkey Kong Country 2 (less notably Gundam Wing Endless Duel (far less notably Cabal)).

Increased the proportions of my Pink Floyd collection from merely epic to full-out legendary.

Northern Kings - Don't Stop Believin'

Four well-known singers from Finnish bands (Marco Hietala, Tony Kakko, Jarkko Ahola, Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto) formed their own band together and started doing a bunch of cover songs, all released in the album Reborn. This isn't THAT new, but I figured I'd mention it for anyone who was interested.

Anyone who labels a whole genre of anything as being a certain way is a damn fool.

MTV Canada isn't as bad as MTV, thankfully. I mostly just watch it for MTV Live which has a couple of my favourite comedians as hosts, along with the hosts which are cool, and I also watch a couple shows there.

Anyway I finally found Dizzee Rascal's album "Maths + English" today. It was great, Music World is going out of business which sucks 'cause they're great but they're having a ridiculous sale where everything is 40%+ off, and  had been looking for the album for a long time and wasn't sure if we were ever going to get it here since it's Brit. But it got the album, got it cheap, and in like the best condition I've ever bought of a CD (the jewel case is like factory perfect ::looks at his White Stripes "White Blood Cells" album that has a cracked corner:: ), it was cheap.

I got a bunch of stuff. Over a 100 bucks worth of stuff for $60.

So dope.
