They are weak though. Cheap plastic that shatters easily.

Maybe the plastic earbuds. Probably the earbuds. The ones have were good until the left channel started going in and out depending on like the angle of them at the plug in thing, so you'd have to fiddle with it sometimes. And the sound in them is good, but not as loud as others (but that could just be my iPod being old). They're also really uncomfortable for people with heads not as perfectly shaped as mine, but they're still not great in that. I'd buy a different kind of Skullcandy ones, but they were OK, I went back to using those because those others are so so bad.

Y'know, I've never heard of Skullcandy until I read some of the posts in this thread.

But anyway, I went out to buy some headphones for my Sound Design class, because the computers in that class hate normal headphone jacks.

I bought some Skullcandy ones. $90.

If you're buying full-size headphones I recommend a safer brand like Panasonic or Sony next time.

I want to get a good pair of DJ-quality headphones, but have no way of saving up for them right now.

I really want ones that have the look, and the additional sound quality would be nice, too.

I've... basically just been looking up discographies of musicians that I respect, and came across this band:

http://www.myspace.com/conceptionmusic

I did know about them for a little while, but I didn't really check them out until just now when I was reminded of them, and I'm really impressed from what I've heard.

Best headphones I've ever owned were Sony MDR-V6

Awesome sound for the money.

I bought UNKLE's album War Stories today, I like it so far, it has a cool sound. Other than that I've just been listening to some Radiohead B-sides and some White Stripes.

Collide's new CD is lacking in what made me like them in the first place. They lost that ethereal quality that made them who they were.

I think they spent too much time hanging out with Dean Garcia. You can hear elements of Curve all over the album.

Listening to the entire album of The Mega's: Get Equipped.

Very good stuff. Possibly my favorite MM music out there, beats all the official arrange albums IMO.

Wow. Somehow, I like them. There are a few technical things I don't like about them, but at the same time I like them. You know what I mean?

Well, that doesn't bother me so much. Some of the lyrics are actually pretty good. It's just some of the singing and drum work bother me. Like the crashing of the cymbol in some parts seems to be over the top.

I'm speaking of course of the few songs by them that I've heard, but I really like at least one or two (undecided) songs as of right now, and that's maybe not good enough to say they're a good band in my opinion, but it makes me interested enough in their other stuff.

Well, okay. Each song seems to be from the perspective of a different character in the series. They've done MegaMan as Wily Stage 1 from MM2 and I think the credits, all 8 robot masters from that game, and they also have Dr. Light (I made you in my imaaaage!) for the Stage Select on their myspace, supposedly from an upcoming album or something. All the songs seem to reflect their view of the robot masters, and I can't tell if they're serious or being at least partly humorous, but I can't take some songs seriously. CrashMan and MetalMan in particular are pretty amusing.

Otherwise they're basically rock covers of MegaMan music.

Air Man is pretty good too, even though Air Man comes off as a whiny emotional robot. Though, lines like "I'm my own biggest fan!" are pretty good.

And the stage selection theme I have, it didn't come in the album but I still got it anyways. It's one of my favorite.

Well I actually like what they did with AirMan's. A lot. He's my favourite robot master and the song provided an insight of character I wouldn't have ever imagined. You know, I don't mind the occasional angst-ridden song. If I like the song, I like it no matter what it is.

I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.
And less of this meme.

Blue Oyster Cult is good stuff regardless, though. Something pops would listen to on car trips.

Because of ASR, I'm now listening to "Don't Let's Start" - They Might Be Giants.

I've been listening to Blue Öyster Cult (and other similar bands) since before I
could even remember.

I've never even heard of that skit until now.
The way you guys are describing it, though, makes me assume it ruins good music.

Really...

I didn't have cable in my house until I was 13, and we just got internet around mid-July this year.
About all I had for entertainment as a small child was my NES and rock music (both of which I got from my parents).
I didn't even know SNL existed until about two years ago.

I live deep in the woods about a half an hour away from a small town in upper Michigan.  Because my family lives outta' town, at the time we weren't able to get cable (you had to actually live in town, see). We couldn't really afford a computer until this summer, thus why I lacked internet. Though, I went on it when I could. I used to stay at my uncle's house in Greenbay just to chill on the internet. On one such occasion about five years ago, I ended up at MMM while looking for help with a game...

Wow. I'm actually kind of astounded and sort of-kind of-maybe impressed that you actually have never seen that cowbell thing. Also, it doesn't really ruin the music, but you'll probably never be able to listen to "Don't Fear The Reaper" the same way again.

Edit:

Also, today I bought "another" Boys Noize CD. That is, I bought "Oi Oi Oi" by Boys Noize, where as the one I'd bought and talked about earlier was "Oi Oi Oi Remixed" which is an album of remixes of some of the songs from the former by a bunch of artists.

Whatever. I'm going to see Boys Noize in Montreal on Saturday and that's all that matters.
