Excellent song, although I think I prefer the overly censored lyrics version of it since I heard that first.

Haha, I was listening to Techn9ne for the first time in about a month the other day. I think my favorites of his are Jellysickle and 'Bout to Bubble.
I have Abe's radio to thank for getting me into him.

No idea which one I have, I'll have to check.

Tech N9ne - "Wheaties". From the new album, I believe.

Better than other rappers right now. But yeah, not even close to good from him, and it's pretty by numbers.

On my current electronic kick I'm into remixes by my favourite electro artists. This is pretty sick;

I'm listening to Another Way to Die. It's the opening theme for Quantum of Solace.

Is it weird that I prefer the game's opening theme a lot more? >_>

It's not weird, since "Another Way To Die" sucks.

Prodigy. Gotta love 'em.

Currently listening in-and-out of Celldweller's "Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head Vol. 1". Tracks mostly sound the same and makes me wonder if it was made especially for goth teens getting #####ed up on some drugs.

As a long-time fan of Celldweller, I was most unhappy.

Always thought it was a great song, but for whatever reason over the last couple of days it's become my number-one favourite song ever.

Urghk!...

I am, for reasons unknown, listening to some cover of Don't Open 'Til Doomsday by the Misfits. Covered by some talentless Japanese band called Ballsack or some bull#####, they truly are balls, their English is so crippled to the extent that I'd rather have my shins kicked in by a horse than listen to this ridiculous cover.

Since a half an hour ago last night, I have definitely developed a celeb-crush on Lights.
Musically, I'm not really decided on her. It's stuff I don't mind listening to but if it's all that same pace then I don't know if I could listen to it all the time, still I like what I've heard enough. But whatever that doesn't matter, I have a crush on the girl herself. Aaahhh, Lights.

A nerd band called the Ex Box Boys did a song for Braid called "Counting You Up."

It's eaten my soul.

(It's the first song that plays on the website, which is SO ANNOYING IN A SITE DESIGN, but anyway. If not, you can find it in the music section or something.)

I'm actually jealous because I love that album (well I love all their albums) and it would be cool to have that first time experience with it again.

Plus, you get to check out Indestructible later. And it's also quite good.

I know, I know. Banjo-Kazooie music. But seriously. Click and listen. This is a videogame music masterpiece.

And this is from the level Banjoland, which is a museum of all the old Banjo levels. This arrangement will blow you away with nostalgia. When I first heard the Freezeezy Peak bit, I almost cried with joy.

I can't really tell which stages are what, I haven't played the game in a long time....

But I can tell Freezeezy Peak, Gobi Desert, and the haunted mansion level so far...

Posted on: 22 November 2008, 14:13:18

I think I hear that one level with the ship, cruddy water, and that shark from the second world from BK. Forgot the name of that level.

Posted on: 22 November 2008, 14:16:27

I think I'm hearing Battle Music in that credits theme...

I loved all the battle themes in BK. THIS EXCITES ME.

Upon further inspection I completely agree. Heard it first too, but I think it's just lyrically better. More clever and skillful, really.

You know, this one time a couple years ago I was driving in my old car and "Don't Stop Me Now" came on the CD right as friends and I were talking about Shaun Of The Dead, and then I said something like "Haha I don't know how that happened, it's on random" without realizing what I'd just said, and then we all had a laugh. Good day.

I'm cursed with the knowledge of so many obscure lines and yet the people I hang out with never notice any of them.

This is why I have MMM.

But yeah, if you guys haven't listened to Girl Talk, he's awesome. It's pretty much the perfect music to leave playing at house parties, by the way. I hijacked the speakers with my iPod at the last one I went to and left Girl Talk's "Feed the Animal" 50-minute album on a loop all night and everyone thought it was just never-ending.

"In The End" - Linkin Park

It is eternally frozen in my mind now, since I spent the last two days rewriting my own version to the same tune for the finale of the mini-series I'm writing.

Posted on: 26 December 2008, 21:18:55

Okay, so... finally got around to listening to Kanye's new album.

I can't decide if I like it or not. A few more full listens and I'll definitely have an answer. I do like Love Lockdown a lot though, but I've heard it before... which generally has to do with how I like music: if I'm exposed to it a lot, it's easier for me to tell if I like it or not.

So, like I said, a few more listens and I'll have a better judgement.

I also downloaded the Viva La Vida Coldplay album for my brother since he really wanted it, and just tossed it on my iPod anyway since it was there. I do like the song Viva La Vida, and there's a song called 42 so obviously that made me smile, but I've never really been big on Coldplay and I can't really get into it.

Lastly, I listened to that new live Linkin Park album, Road to Revolution: Live at Milton Keyes.
A GREAT set-list, pretty much all of their very-best stuff live. I love when the crowd sings verses in live albums/shows, and they do that a lot in this one, so that was fun. I don't know, that sort of thing gets me pumped. Plus, they bring out Jay-Z at the end for two songs and that was pretty badass.

By Journey.

I heard the cover by Andre Matos first, which I think is a GOOD cover, but the original just somehow has that much more feeling.
