I just watched this show called "Angela Anaconda." It used to be a show I watched a few years ago.

And I just realized now that the person who voices that coach guy is the same person who voices Tiesel Bonne.

I couldn't care less about sports, so I put the cash on it to make it interesting, and I won a few hundred quid, so it's not life changing but definately pleasant.

Question: how popular is American football (I mean the NFL) over there? Do they televise only the big games?

Just curious.

It's not popular at all.

Neither are baseball or basketball.

They're only ever on specialist channels or in the dead of night.

Hehe, figured. Baseball isn't even popular in the US anymore, but basketball is reaching "official American sport" status in my opinion.

I totally skipped the Super Bowl this year. Was sick and trying to catch up on homework and I dislike both teams. I'm a Packers fan.

How can anyone watch Angela Anaconda?

Anybody see Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles yet? I caught the first episode rerun on the weekend, it's pretty good.

Bite your tongue Mike, it's not Terminator without the Governator.

No it's not. The whole show sucks, it's like a really bad Anime from the early 90s or something.

Yeah it's a pretty bad shoe.

Anyway there's nothing anime about the show, and it moves entirely like a Terminator movie (the first 2) judging from the first episode.

No, dude, she's always all like "Look at me, I'm a clothing optional girl robot who fights other robots!" to me that seriously sounds like an anime pitch.

Like I said I haven't seen any other episodes but that doesn't happen in the first one. I'm eager to learn more about what model she is though, it's interesting how she acts, she's probably from later than the T-X.

I think the most important part is that they have a lot of Terminator myth and keep heavy with it, the first episode did that pretty well and the teacher robot that attacked them even looked kind of like the T-1000/Agent Dagit (sp?) guy for a second.

And hey, at least it's better than Blade.

I really, REALLY want to like this show. The piss-poor job they did of the casting is making it difficult, but I'm trying anyway.

Seriously, what were they thinking when they casted this show? Admittedly, John Connor himself was not terribly done, but Sarah needed to look more than thirtyish years old, and the protector and other Terminator models (though of course a cyborg can look like anything, really) do not seem suitable for killing machines in the way Arnie et al did. I'm of the opinion that they should have hired well-established action actors for this, eg Kiefer Sutherland. The other characters are... what they are.

I will say this about the show, though - it's decently written for something of which I have such a high standard. James Cameron should have been the director or at least "in the loop" though.

I've seen the first 3 episodes, and it's watchable if a little run of the mill.

I mean, who didn't know idiot-face was going to go out after being told not to go out?

I will fight anyone who tells me tonight's episode of Lost wasn't amazing.
This should've been the premiere, aside from the obvious fact that story-line-wise it couldn't possibly have been.

It's going to be a good season.

Missed it for a birthday.

Anyway, I think the girl protector Terminator is OK. It's obviously a totally different direction, but it wouldn't be interesting finding out anything about her otherwise. Run of the mill I can imagine, but it's not too bad.

I mean, who didn't know idiot-face was going to go out after being told not to go out?

That's John Connor staple!

I don't know, myself. The protest against scientology seems like something I could morally support, myself. No offense to anyone who actually IS a scientologist; I just find some practices grate against my right-versus-wrong morals.

I didn't mean it in THAT way.

Scientology is a business/cult mix thing. The purpose of the cult is to make money. And the Church of Scientology are pieces of scum who deserve to crash, burn, and not die but feel the pain from the burn to the point where they beg death but death never comes.

Regardless of the scientology talk, Opal's video belonged in the Youtube thread, not this one.

This thread... is for Lost.

Which was decent tonight but I still enjoyed it. Usually Sayiid episodes are boring but this one was one of his better ones.

Was OK but I found my attention wavering. Last week's was better in my opinion because SOMETHING ACTUALLY #####ING HAPPENED for once.
And no; Flash forewards and the bit with Sayiid leaving don't count.
I'm thinking they're trying to convince us that Sawyer is, so that he isn't. Then again, I've noticed their not too great with leaving clues that don't make you figure it out in two seconds à la
Ben in the flash forewards this week.
