Irony is humorous?

No?

I have a friend who drinks Faygo just because they mentioned it in a song. although he has told me on many occasions that he hates off brand sodas.

Irony is funny.

That's not IRONIC, that's just MORONIC.

Huh? Huh?

That whole ICP incidents sounds like situational irony to me, the very home town they started in bans them from touring there.

Situational Irony: What happens is the opposite of what is intended or expected.

Eg. Sano: He's 16 but acts like a 12 year old..

Acting younger than your age isn't really ironic, it's just... not good. Acting young isn't, you know, the opposite of being older - It's the opposite of ACTING older.

i.e. Someone is trying to act 31 but it just makes them look 13. Which happens all the time.

I don't think you know what irony is.

I've noticed that.

No one at the Matrix truly knows what irony means.

Are you havin' a laugh? Is 'e havin' a laugh?

the very home town they started in bans them from touring there.

That happens ALL the time though.

What exactly is there to take seriously?

Beats me, dude. You're the fan of them, not me.

According to my one friend, it's "a way of life", which involves going to their concerts and getting incredibly #####ed up and...I think that's it. What makes them different from Dave Matthews and Grateful Dead fans is apparently nothing more than some stupid makeup all over their faces.

I'm watching the red carpet junk, and then the awards.

And then I can look forward to some actual television in the coming years now that the damn strike is over.

No he meant the word "right" which he put in bold. But it could also be noted that it's spelled "Luigi", unless it is supposed to be "Lugi".

A lot of the picks are crap tonight. I don't know how Bourne Ultimatum, a movie that is entirely grunts and things breaking with bad camera work, got better sound stuff than Transformers, a movie in which sound effects are more important casting.

Shia LaDousche was. He's actually the reason I didn't see the movie until its DVD release... or at least my excuse.

Mike, I was thinking the SAME thing about Transformers and SFX. Dumb pick.

Overall, I'm indifferent about many of the awards this year, mainly because I missed tons of the big-name movies like No Country and Michael Clayton.

I did think Rattatouille deserved best animated film, and Golden Compass for best visual effects. They spent enough money, at least.

I thought Persepolis should have won it, but I knew it had a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

Plus, it's rare for an HBO show to get cancelled mid-season. They don't rely on ratings like cable and network channels.
I never watched it but I've always wondered why it was cancelled.

Let's hope it's not the only season. I am also loving it, though still pissed off by their casting choices.
