Carnivàle made it all the way through both it's seasons, it just didn't get the other 4 seasons that were planned (and would have completed the storyline).

The show got increasingly expensive to make as time went on, but with how much HBO charges for it's DVDs, they can shut the ##### up about financial woes.

Anyhoo. I am loving Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

It's pretty decent, but not the best show ever.

They pulled a VERY smart move with Lost.

They sold a deal that solidified six seasons total, with seasons 4, 5, and 6 each having only 13 episodes each (about half of an average TV season.)
They claim, and rightfully so, that they want to promise the viewers that the show will have a definitive end and not be cut off due to unprecedented circumstances.

And then, of course, the writer's strike came and left Season 4 with only 8 episodes. Though, that's 8 more than some other shows got.

Yeah I agree, but I'm far too into Terminator to not love it.

Also, though I'm a mad into Terminator, through some phenom I haven't seen the third movie and this makes me want to. I've seen Terminator 3-D at Universal Studios though. They had the unmitigated gall to invent the T-1000 000 in that.

Doesn't it end next week? Short first season, though lately the same could be said about tons of shows.

Lots of shows have short first seasons. 7-14 episode first seasons aren't uncommon. It's kind of like a trial run to see how it goes.

Following the WGA strike, the fate of the series is unkown. It might get cancelled but I'm hoping not.

Anyway there's 2 episodes left, making the first season 9 episodes long.

No, I completely understand about shows having short first seasons.
It's just that usually they end at the same time of May Sweeps.

Well, looking back, not always. Nevermind.

The third movie is 100% optional. It's okay, but pales in comparison to the other two.

We don't have cable, even local.

We've been watching Azumanga Daioh (entire series) disk by disk for the past weekish.

It's awesome. Very relaxing.

Funny. My birthday is on March the 17th. Now that makes me want to watch this thing, out of sheer nonsense. What is it about?

Tonight's episode of Lost officially goes down as my number one, stand-alone, all-time favorite ever.

The writing was poetic, exciting, and interesting. Sure, it was a tiny bit predictable and not enough actual island plot went by, but I was truly not expecting such a wonderful gem tonight.

Anyone who disagrees with my opinion is a little iffy in the head.
I haven't been this happy with Lost in a very long time.

But mostly because I've never seen a single episode before.

I wouldn't call the writing "poetic", because I've read poetry before, but it was certainly a very good episode and I was extremely glad they brought up an issue and then solved it by the end of the episode instead of stringing it along for three years until no one cares about it anymore.

Poetic mainly because of the ending, I stand by that. As in a poetic ending.

With a premiere episode like that it looks like this season of South Park might have AIDS.

The season premiers are usually really great as of late. Since Season 8, every premier has been a hit. As in, two premiers per season because they split them up in half now.

I'm not surprised he's the only one who showed. It's true that he should have been breakfast a long time ago, but he seems like the only person who cares about anyone but himself and his own family.

The trouble with tribbles. More trouble with tribbles.

I only know those are the names because of a joke in Still Standing. One benifit to watching original is getting stuff they say in the later better ones, or when they go back in time in DS9 to the time of TOS.

And no, I don't watch that much Star Trek, I have an excellent memory. Especially for TV.
