I will admit I like the guy, but I refuse to watch TV. It's not part of my lifestyle.

YOU ARE AMERICAN.

ACT LIKE ONE.

Rumors are going around that Charlie is returning to Lost next season because of this promo ad ABC has been airing:

http://lostmediamentions.blogspot.com/2009/06/abc-promo-featuring-charlie-pace.html

Patrick Dempsy: "You're dead."
Dominic Monaghan: "Actually, I was."

If yes, good. If no, OK.

Honestly the worst thing about Lost is that other people watch it.

Season premier of Weeds airs this evening.

I'm not sure I care about that show anymore, but I'll likely watch the first few episodes to make sure.

I'll never understand why they burnt down Agrestic. It was practically the secondary character.

I was under the impression that Season 3 was meant to be the final season. And burning down Agrestic would have been a GREAT ending to the entire show.

But then they went and made Season 4, which was awful. I mean, I still enjoyed it, but in comparison to the show's glory when it began... god. Really bad.

Despite all that, I'm still super-psyched for Season 5 because I know I'm going to watch it all anyway.

But yeah, actually, Jack got a lot better this past season. From 2-4 I hated him, though.

Oh, and apparently that whole rumor about Charlie coming back to Lost: no.

It was revealed today that Dominic Monaghan was in the promo advertisement because he's going to have a major role in Flash Forward.

Which is great, because I'm looking forward to that show.

It'll be on Comedy Central unless Fox decides they want to air it since they have first option.

Yeah I heard about this. Since I'm mad at FOX for axing my Terminator I hope it's JUST on Comedy Central as it's main broadcaster, just so FOX can realize how #####ing stupid they are about what people want. Because it's going to be popular, maybe even more than before, when it comes back.

FOX has its Sunday Animation schedule pretty full up now (three MacFarlane shows? Really?) so I'm thinking they'll likely pass, no matter how much they want it.

And that's good, because they don't deserve it.

Exactly! You just don't hear enough physics jokes these days, and Futurama is the place to get them.

First episode of Weeds' 5th season was pretty good. I'm really glad they're making sure you (and Nancy) understand just how #####ed Nancy really is.
The weight of the situation is fully apparent, and I was afraid it wasn't going to be.
That said, I miss when the show was more light-hearted.

Yeah, the series has this really dark overtone now that you just can't brush off no matter what. Even the colors! Agrestic was bright and green and suburban, but Ren Mar is dark and brown and disheartening.

I can appreciate the style shift, but last season was a little too much at once. I think I'm getting used to it now because Season 5's premiere seemed good enough. Plus, Celia's storyline was hilarious.

Oh, and I bought the first season of Pushing Daisies on a whim! I know it's been cancelled and ABC is now churning out the final three episodes of the second (and last) season, but I've been meaning to watch it for a long time. I think I like it better than Dead Like Me so far.

Also, does the girl in Wonderfalls have a guy's name, too? If so, I'm catching a pattern with Bryan Fuller's shows.

Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies are two totally different shows.

Dead Like Me was trying to appeal to the snarky late-teenager demographic, while Pushing Daisies is going for a more earnest family appeal. Both were morbid shows, but they both delivered their thanatos in completely different packaging.

Oh, of course. I just tend to group things by their creators.

Pushing Daisies is almost like a modern fairy tale! Hell, it IS. I just finished the first season, by the way. Great stuff. And yes, very very very different from Dead Like Me.

I finished the first season of Pushing Daisies in two nights. Only nine episodes, though.

It took me a month or more to watch all of Six Feet Under, which is five long seasons of hour-long episodes.

I remember when I first borrowed Season 1 of Weeds on DVD from a friend, I only had it for the one night so I zoomed through the entire first season in one sitting.

All of Arrested Development took me less than a week, I remember.

Breaking Bad's first season, which is only seven episodes, took me a couple months to finish since I kept getting distracted and spaced them out really far apart.

My point is that I don't really have a good gauge of how long it takes me to watch a season of a show, but I do it all the time.

She liked it. There was a giggle at one point. Still, brutal.

But goddamn, Weeds really does suck now. I'm still going to keep watching since I've already invested so much time into it. And, I mean, it's still extremely far from the worst thing on television.

She may have giggled, but from the aftermath you get the impression that she wasn't wholly aware of what transpired.

It's also a very literally embodies the point he was trying to make.

I'm having a hard time ignoring that.

I have yet to see it.

I've never watched an episode sober, and I don't plan to break that tradition.

I'm job hunting at the moment, so I need to stay clean.

Get a job taste testing things and then you wouldn't have to stay clean because that stuff would just make it seem like you have super ambition the likes of which is more surreal than Dali making love to Bowie on Escher's staircase.

And that brings us back to Do, do, do, do.
