That would be a stupid "reference". It's a known thing, not a reference. That's like saying liking giant Toblerones is a Friends reference. It's just talking!

Anyway Fringe sucks. Like really hard. It's Pacey Witter, some geezer, and yet another TV woman with no character mucking about trying to be the X-Files. And I hate Dollhouse for certain reasons, though I've never seen it. As much as Heroes can get on my nerves I still like it enough to watch, and I'd rather watch it than glistening turd(s) like that/those.

The reason I wrote Fringe off at first was because it just looked like an X-Files clone.

The reason I called it a Roomhates reference is because John told me it was on AIM. As in:

bigjohncar11 (12:05:40 AM): u watch heroes?
Asrman1 (12:05:44 AM): ##### no
bigjohncar11 (12:05:57 AM): Well, Claire's room mate killed herself
Asrman1 (12:06:02 AM): i heard
bigjohncar11 (12:06:12 AM): I thought of you right off the bat with room-hates

Bam!

CURB'S ENDING TONIGHT WAS CLASSIC.

I loathe "Curb" even more when it's abbreviated to that.

I like Smallville, even though I know it's trash.

I just want Lost and 24 to be back on so there's some actual quality on TV.

Scrubs is crap, don't listen to ASR.

I never gave 24 a shot so I don't know, but I don't feel like it's my thing.

One of the reasons I still watch Smallville and Heroes is because of my job.

I loathe "Curb" even more when it's abbreviated to that.

I'm not a fan of that either but I'm tired of typing and saying "Your Enthusiasm" six times a paragraph.

Yes, I speak in paragraphs!

Scrubs is mediocre. It makes me laugh on occasion so I'll watch it, but it's certainly not good.

24 is awful.

I don't have a problem with abbreviating "Curb." It is a dumb thing to be annoyed by.

It sounds stupid.

Regardless, I can't watch it apparently. I can't find it online anywhere and I don't have HBO here. Even if I did, I'd have to watch it downstairs and I'm always doing work up here for the time being so no dice.

Sucks. I was really excited to watch this season.

The first two episodes of Curb [Your Enthusiasm] this season have been great. Some best-ever contenders, even. And the Seinfeld arc starts next week, so that's gonna' be even better.

Come on, Mike, it's not that hard to find online. That's how I'm watching, and I watched both episodes the night-of.

It's alright, but it all just feels so awkward. The show never really found it's comfortable place.

Oh right, I forgot.

I also watched the Dexters and the True Bloods, and really liked both. Especially the Dexters.

Louis CK is KILLING on Parks and Recreation! He has single-handedly made this show great!

I'm almost done watching The Wire, 3 episodes into Season 5 with only 10 more left in the series. This is undoubtedly the closest any show has come to perfection.

What boggles me about Torchwood is that everyone is bi. I have no problem with that, but the statistics of it... Really? Like very few people in very many people are bi as it is, and then the likelyhood that they're all specialized to exactly fit in this team? Really?

Also, not the coolest team name ever.

Furthermore, bad sci-fi graphics kills a lot of shows for me. It reminds of like #####ing Relic Hunter quality (or lack thereof).

Plus I would never start Torchwood until I'm up to speed on Doctor Who and for that I might as well get my own #####ing TARDIS because I need to catch up on over three times the amount of years I've been alive.

I don't bother with any of the older stuff concerning Doctor Who. I just watch from the reboot and on. I considered watching the old stuff but it'd just be too much of a project.

Torchwood is about as cool a name as you can get from an anagram of Doctor Who.

There were a bunch of spin-offs planned after the reboot proved successful, all of them had titles that were anagrams of Doctor Who. I can't remember any of the other ones, and I'm pretty sure Torchwood was the only one that was made, anyway.

There's also that Sarah Jane Adventures one.

ACTUALLY...

Torchwood was the codename for the Doctor Who reboot when they were filming.

And the Torchwood show was actually going to be Davies' answer to Buffy, and was unrelated to Doctor Who. The show wasn't picked up, so he retooled it to a Doctor Who Spin-off.

This was before Davies ever got attached to the Doctor Who reboot, when Buffy was still relevant.

Then he was like "Hey, Torchwood sounds good, I'll retool my Brit-Buffy and make it work! NOTHING COULD GO WRONG!"

Sunday Night TV Roundup:

Mad Men: Great as always.
Entourage: The first truly fantastic episode in over three seasons... but it's the finale.
Dexter: Let's just say I'm so excited to have such a great season already set up in just two episodes.
Californication: I am enjoying this season.
Curb Your Enthusiasm: GRAAAAAAAAAAH AMAZING, THE CAST OF SEINFELD SHARING A SCREEN TOGETHER AGAIN IS LIKE AMAZING OVERLOAD

I can't even get angry at Sunday's being cluttered with shows because ALL of them are good.

Yeah I was randomly able to find some probably very temporary online episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm from Surfthechannel on Megavideo. The link to "episode 2" was bull, and just sent me to the third episode. After a #####ton of meandering about the internet I couldn't find a way to watch episode 2 (was even looking into VPNs and stuff to bypass Hulu's major cockblock) so I just skipped it. Which is fine by me 'cause I read what happened and it was only alright, but episode 3 was #####ing AWESOME!

Exactly what ASR said. Except also add that it was really funny regardless. I like how the one on one conversation between Larry and Jerry kind of shifted styles a bit, haha.

Also I really want to get the Home Movies complete series because I loooooooved that show but I haven't seen most of it.

I have one of the seasons on DVD. I think it's season 2, and that's like my favourite season. They make Starboy And The Captain Of Outerspace in that season! And it has the best episode, where McGuirk has insomnia. Also, "spaghetti time", Tonto, laser eye surgery, "I breathe into them", and many other quotable classics.

There's NO need to ever watch season one of it though.

Season 1 is when it was all squiggle-vision, right? I remember staying up around middle-school era to watch it and Sealab and other stuff on Adult Swim, back when they actually a swimming pool theme and there was an announcer saying "ALL KIDS OUT OF THE POOL!"

Anyway, you do have to watch episode 2 of this season's CYE because it's really good. So, find that if you can. I think my favorite part of episode 3 was Michael Richards coming into the group meeting and going "A Seinfeld reunion show? That's a great idea!"

That part was funny because earlier Larry had said that if Michael had told him it was a good idea right away he'd know it was a crazy idea. I'll watch episode 2 when I can, right now I can't even find torrents and can't really be bothered.

Season 1 of Home Movies was ONLY good in middle school. It sucks really bad in hindsight, even if you look past squigglevision.

I will love Sealab 2021 forever, but I will never defend it since I know it is trash.

Oh speaking of, I'm also all caught up on Smallville now. Which is something I just watch, and only kinda like. It's weird how we're willing to forgo science for CERTAIN things. This happens in comics (and to a MUCH lesser extent, animation) all the time too, and with other people, but Smallville reminded me twice in one episode (I think it was the same episode) of this phenom;

For instance, I'm willing to pretend a man can fly, use "super breath", "heat vision", and bend metal girders with his knee-pit, but the second I see the Green Arrow use his green cased iPhone (gay) to fake out a fingerprint scanner (Three dimensional space?) or see a grown ass woman track the explosive implants she secretly embedded in the skulls of her private super team on a goddamn PSP (chrissakes), I lose my #####. All sense of atmosphere goes right down the poop shoot and I find it hilarious.

You should check out Frisky Dingo if you haven't already. The DVD's are cheap and it's like a spiritual successor to Sealab 2021 that actually has a tint of quality.

BUT then you can just remember that it also had Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell on it at the same time, and that one girl who looked like a young Rosie O'Donnel.

I just watched a handful of episodes from Season 1 of Home Movies, and I enjoyed all of them. Just as funny as I remember. Maybe the later seasons are better. I'm going to buy the box set.

Wednesday/Thursday TV Round-Up:

Modern Family: I am loving this show! Seriously, it's funny and I'm impressed.
FlashForward: Maaaaaaaaaaaan, this show... man. Just... come on.[/GOB]
The Office: Surprisingly good episode. Makes me glad I'm still following the show.
Always Sunny: Best episode of the season so far. Really funny.

Still gotta' watch Parks and Recreation, then Community if that aired tonight? It was an hour-long Office so either they didn't air Community or they aired at 8:00 instead of 9:30?
