I use a mix of Spyware Vanisher, and PC Tools anti-Virus for protection. They both are free, seem to work pretty well, use very little resources, and have free updates. If you can't kill it....back up as much as you can; format the HD and reinstall Windows...Or if you don't want this problem again install Ubuntu. Whatever you do DON'T try AVG, its ugly and it crashed my computer.

AVG is great until it tries to remove viruses, and Sano is right for once, mis-spelling a program name can ruin somebody else's computer, because I'm not sure how smart some people here are. The Computer's motherboard died not to long after that; so it might not have been AVG. Still don't like AVG's interface. Its really ugly, and it horks up to many resources.
