I recently got some junk from Wal Mart that said "Equate- Dandruff Shampoo. Cooling formula." Or something to that effect on the label, I'd used the regular Equate Dandruff Shampoo because it smelled a tad bit like Egg Nog which I loved.

This stuff is powerful.

It pretty much burns my scalp, but in a good way, and leaves it tingling for about half an hour after I rinse it out. Cooling formula= mouthwash for your scalp.

Anybody else have any favorite brands of anti dandruff shampoo?

P.S. I hate that it's called "Dandruff Shampoo" on the bottle. It sends the wrong message.

I use Head & Shoulders.

Works wonders, keeps my hair soft and silky.

I've used it, a bit pricy for me. As is Selsun Blue, or whatever it is.
H&S has the same effect as this stuff, maybe it's the identical active ingredient....

Well, it doesn't burn my scalp, so I guess it's a step ahead.

It tingles to the extreme.
Funny too, the non-cooling formula, the kind I used to use, had the same ingredient, so they must put napalm or something in it.

I don't know how "anti-dandruff" a fortifying shampoo is, but I use Garnier's Fructis Fortifying shampoo, and then use their Fructis conditioner. It's really great, have used it for years.

I find it sad there's nothing better to talk about though.

American Crew, for greasy hair. I dunno why, but since my hairs thin, it gets dirty in a minute.. so I have to use the strong stuff.

Best. Topic. Ever. Period.

Haha, my description matched dead on with the text on the bottle! Maybe not word-for-word, but the text is close enough to creep me out. Subliminal processing, bleh. Or maybe it's just the product doing its job!

I have the sudden urge to buy some L'Oreal Kids and see if it really is "tear-free."

I was always too scared to try as a kid.

I've heard it's tear-full depending on who you are and how you do.

And don't worry, I'm pretty sure "smooth & silky" is the industry standard description for good hair quality.

Fructis smells awesome.

He needs a new groove.

But not a new school...

I have no sense of smell... so I have absolutely no basis on choosing shampoo other than the results I can feel.

Which means, I might find the greatest shampoo ever... except it smells like #####. And I would never know.

Trust me, I don't take hair-care this seriously, since it's starting to sound like I do. I just buy Head & Shoulders, then I use it. Not much thinking involved.

I actually get a kick out of that show. Not that I watch it regularly, but it comes on during lunch so I'm like "Why not?"

Anyway Lex Luther doesn't use shampoo, and you should all learn from his example.

Luthor.

Anyway that show is actually not bad. I haven't seen the movie in it's entirety though.

I have to know a bit, because my hair is straight when short and curly when long so I need to condition daily or it hurts like a bitch when it starts curling. Well, it hurts either way, but less...

Best smelling hair in the whole school.

I hate using 2-in-1 shampoos. I only use conditioner so my hair doesn't feel rough and knotted. With 2-in-1s, it feels as if I just used normal shampoo.

I don't really care if I use a 2 in 1 or not but I don't like to over shampoo and I need to condition more so separate just works out better for me. But Fructis and H&S are probably the only good 2-in-1s out there.

Fructis makes the whole bathroom smell awesome.

My hair is both frizzy AND oily, somehow(frizzy when there's no oil to weigh it down, fried-chicken-greasy otherwise.  You could cook an egg in it, I swear.), so I have to use a divide-and-conquer strategy - A deep cleansing shampoo and an anti-frizz conditioner.  It works great.  Brand varies by store availability, but it's usually Suave or VO5.

In this house, we have Selsun Blue and Aussie's shampoo for greasy roots/frizzy ends with desert lime. I also have Alberto V05 kiwi-lime conditioner. My hair responds well to citrus. :3

Cherry, I'd recommend the Aussie for you if you have that issue.

Also, get some light hair oil. It works wonders, and you can rinse it out at night with water usually. Also, don't wash your hair every day if you can stand it.
